¹² The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.

²¹ And Saul thought, "I will give her to him, that she may be a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him." Therefore Saul said to David, "You shall this day be my son-in-law a second time."

⁷ Now it was told Saul that David had come to Keilah. ⁶ But he scorned the thought of laying hands on Mordecai alone, for they had made known to him Mordecai's people. Therefore Haman sought to destroy all the Jews who were throughout the whole kingdom of Achashyerosh, even Mordecai's people.

¹³ For I have heard the slander of many, terror on every side, while they conspire together against me, they plot to take away my life.

¹⁶ When I tripped, they mocked me relentlessly; they gnashed their teeth at me.

³² The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.
