⁷ »‘But this is not the way I treat my servant Moses. He is the most faithful person in my household.

¹⁸ »‘I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you. I will put my words in his mouth. He will speak to them all that I command him.

¹ Moses the servant of Jehovah (YHWH) died. After his death Jehovah spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying:

²⁶ He sent his servant Moses, and he sent Aaron, whom he had chosen.

⁹ »Did you go to see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet!

¹¹ »I tell you, there is none, born of women, greater then John the Baptist. Yet the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

²² »Moses said to the fathers, ‘Jehovah will raise up for your brothers a prophet like me. You must listen to all the things he speaks to you.’ (Deuteronomy 18:18) ²³ »It will happen. Every person who will not listen to the prophet will be destroyed from among the people.

³¹ When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight. He drew near to look at it and the voice of Jehovah came to him.

² He was faithful to Him who appointed him, just as Moses was in His entire house. ³ He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses. This is because the builder of the house has more honor than the house. ⁴ Every house has a builder. God is the builder of all things. ⁵ Indeed Moses was faithful in His house, as a ministering servant, for a testimony of the things to be spoken afterwards. ⁶ Christ was faithful as a Son over God’s house. We are His house if we hold on to our courage (confidence) and rejoice (speak boldly) about our hope until the end.

⁴ You came to him, a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen and precious with God. ⁵ You also as living stones are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
