¹⁵ »‘Do no injustice in judgment. Do not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great. Judge your neighbor fairly.

¹⁷ »You will not show partiality in judgment. You shall hear the small and the great. You will not fear man for the judgment is God's. The case that is too hard for you, bring to me, and I will hear it.’

⁴³ Let those who think they are wise pay attention to these things so they will understand the loving kindness of Jehovah.

⁶ This will help him understand a proverb and the interpretation as well as the words of the wise and their riddles.

⁵ It is not good to accept the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

¹⁷ Incline your ear and listen to the words of the wise. Apply your heart and mind to my knowledge.

²¹ It is not good to show partiality for a man will transgress for a piece of bread.

¹ Who is like the wise man? Who knows the interpretation of a message? A man's wisdom illuminates him, and the hardness of his countenance (appearance) is changed. ² I counsel you: »Keep the king's command because of the oath before God.« ³ »Do not be in a hurry to leave him. Do not persist in an evil activity, for he does whatever he pleases.« ⁴ There is power (authority) in the word of a king. Who may ask him: »What are you doing?« ⁵ He who obeys the king’s command will feel no harm. A wise man's heart discerns both time and judgment.

⁹ Let the wise understand these things. Let the discerning know them. For the ways of Jehovah are right. And the righteous will walk in them. But transgressors will stumble in them.

²⁴ »Do not judge according to appearance! Judge a righteous judgment.«

²⁰ Reprove the sinner in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear. ²¹ I charge you in the sight of God, and Christ Jesus, and the chosen angels, that you observe these [principles] without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.

⁴ Do not make distinctions among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts. ⁵ Listen, my dearly beloved brothers! Did God choose poor people in the world to be rich in faith and to receive the kingdom he promised to those who love him? ⁶ You have dishonored the poor man. Do the rich oppress you, and personally drag you into court?

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, reasonable (yielding), full of mercy and good fruits, without discord (partiality), without hypocrisy.

¹⁷ If you call on him as Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each man’s work, pass the time you spend here in reverence.
