1 Peter 3 Cross References - RKJNT

1 Likewise, you wives, be in subjection to your husbands; so that, if any do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the behaviour of the wives; 2 When they behold your chaste and reverent behaviour. 3 Let your beauty not be in outward adornment; the plaiting of hair, the wearing of gold, or the putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be of the inner person of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. 5 For in this manner the holy women in days of old, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, and were submissive to their husbands. 6 Thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: and you are her daughters, if you do right, and do not give way to fear. 7 Likewise, you husbands, live with your wives considerately, giving honour to the woman as the weaker vessel, since you are heirs together of the grace of life. Do this that your prayers may not be hindered. 8 Finally, be of one mind, have sympathy for one another, love as brethren, be compassionate, be humble. 9 Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult: but instead with blessing; knowing that you were called to this, that you should inherit a blessing. 10 For, He who would love life, and see good days, let him restrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking guile: 11 Let him turn from evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. 13 And who will harm you if you are zealous followers of that which is good? 14 But even if you do suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled; 15 But set apart Christ as Lord in your hearts: and always be ready to give an answer to every man who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you; but do it with gentleness and respect, 16 Keeping a good conscience, so that when you are falsely accused, those who revile your good behaviour in Christ may be ashamed. 17 For it is better, if it is the will of God, that you suffer for doing right, than for doing evil. 18 For Christ died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit, 19 In which he went and preached to the spirits in prison, 20 Who long ago were disobedient, when God patiently waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was prepared, in which a few, that is, eight people, were saved through water. 21 This water symbolizes baptism, which now saves us (not by the removal of dirt from the body, but by an appeal of a good conscience to God,) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 Who has gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; with angels and authorities and powers made subject to him.

Therefore, what God has joined together, let man not separate. 7 They said to him, Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away? 8 He said to them, Because of the hardness of your hearts Moses allowed you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you, Whoever shall divorce his wife, except for unchastity, and shall marry another, commits adultery.

12 And we labour, working with our own hands: when reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure it: 13 When slandered, we answer kindly; we have been made the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things, even to this day.

1 Corinthians 7:3

3 Let the husband fulfill his marital duty to his wife: and likewise the wife to the husband.

1 Corinthians 7:16

16 For how do you know, O wife, whether you shall save your husband? or how do you know, O man, whether you shall save your wife?

1 Corinthians 9:19-22

19 For though I am free from all men, yet I have made myself the servant to all, that I might win the more. 20 To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might win the Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might win those who are under the law; 21 To those who are without the law, as without the law, (though I am not without the law of God, but am under the law of Christ,) that I might win those who are without the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak: I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

1 Corinthians 11:3

3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

1 Corinthians 12:13

13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slave or free; and have all been made to drink of one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 12:22-24

22 No, those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are the most necessary: 23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our unpresentable parts are treated with special modesty, 24 Of which our presentable parts have no need: but God has composed the body, giving more abundant honour to that part which lacked it:

1 Corinthians 12:26

26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

1 Corinthians 14:1

1 Follow after love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.

1 Corinthians 14:34

34 Let the women keep silent in the churches: for it is not permitted for them to speak; but they should be subordinate, as the law says.

1 Corinthians 15:24

24 Then comes the end, when he delivers up the kingdom to God the Father; after he has destroyed all rule and all authority and power.

2 Corinthians 1:12

12 For our boast is in this: the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have conducted ourselves in the world, and still more toward you.

2 Corinthians 1:24

24 Not that we lord it over your faith, but we work with you for your joy: for in your faith you stand firm.

2 Corinthians 2:15-16

15 For we are an aroma of Christ to God, among those who are being saved, and among those who are perishing: 16 To the one we are the aroma of death to death; and to the other the aroma of life to life. And who is equal to such a calling?

2 Corinthians 4:2

2 But we have renounced the hidden, shameful things, and do not walk in craftiness, nor handle the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

2 Corinthians 4:16

16 For this reason we do not loose heart; but though our outer man perish, yet the inner man is renewed day by day.

2 Corinthians 5:21

21 For our sakes he has made him to be sin, who knew no sin; that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

2 Corinthians 7:1

1 Therefore, having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2 Corinthians 10:1

1 Now I, Paul, urge you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I who am meek in your presence, but bold when I am absent from you.

2 Corinthians 12:10

10 Therefore, for Christ's sake, I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in distresses: for when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 13:4

4 For though he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God to serve you.

Galatians 1:4

4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father:

Galatians 3:13

13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having been made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one who hangs on a tree.

Galatians 3:27

27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Galatians 4:22-26

22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by a slave woman, the other by a free woman. 23 He who was born by the slave woman was born according to the flesh; but the son born by the free woman was through the promise. 24 These things are an allegory: for these women are the two covenants; the one from mount Sinai, who bears children into bondage; this is Hagar. 25 For this Hagar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to the present Jerusalem, which is in bondage with her children. 26 But the Jerusalem which is above is free, and she is our mother.

Galatians 5:22

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 Gentleness, self-control: against such things there is no law.

Galatians 6:10

10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Ephesians 1:20-21

20 Which he exerted in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

Ephesians 2:16-18

16 And that he might reconcile both to God, in one body, through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off, and to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.

Ephesians 3:6

6 That is, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and sharers together of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel:

Ephesians 4:2

2 With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love;

Ephesians 4:22-24

22 Then put off the old man, which belongs to your former life, which is corrupt through deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your minds; 24 And put on the new man, who, in the likeness of God, is created in true righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 4:30

30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you have been sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and quarreling, and slander, be put away from you, along with all types of malice: 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ has forgiven you.

Ephesians 5:1

1 Therefore be imitators of God, as dear children;

Ephesians 5:22-24

22 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, his body: and he himself is its saviour. 24 Therefore, as the church is subject to Christ, so let wives be to their own husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church, and gave himself up for her; 26 That he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water through the word,

Ephesians 5:26

26 That he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water through the word, 27 That he might present her to himself a glorious church, without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that she should be holy and without blemish. 28 So husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

Ephesians 5:33

33 Nevertheless, let every one of you love his wife as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Ephesians 6:5

5 Slaves, be obedient to those who are your earthly masters, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ;

Ephesians 6:18

18 Praying always in the Spirit with all manner of prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert in it with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints;

Philippians 1:27

27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or am absent, I may hear of you, that you are standing fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

Philippians 1:29

29 For to you it is granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Philippians 3:16

16 Only let us hold true to that which we have already attained.

Philippians 3:20

20 But our citizenship is in heaven; from whence we eagerly look for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Philippians 4:8-9

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are admirable; if there is any virtue, and if there is anything worthy of praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which you have learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

Colossians 1:5

5 Because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you have already heard in the word of truth, the gospel;

Colossians 1:21-22

21 And you who were at one time alienated and enemies in your minds because of wicked deeds, 22 He has now reconciled in his body of flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable in his sight: 23 If you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven; and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

Colossians 1:27

27 To whom God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the riches of the glory of this mystery; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Colossians 2:12

12 Having been buried with him in baptism, you have also risen with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

Colossians 3:1

1 If you have been raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sits on the right hand of God.

Colossians 3:3

3 For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Colossians 3:9-10

9 Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his deeds; 10 And have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of the one who created him.

Colossians 3:12

12 Therefore, as the chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on hearts of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience;

Colossians 3:15

15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to this; and be thankful.

Colossians 3:18

18 Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh toward them.

Colossians 3:22

22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in all things; not as an outward show, as pleasers of men; but with singleness of heart, fearing the Lord:

Colossians 4:5

5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, making the most of the time. 6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer every man.

1 Thessalonians 4:4

4 That every one of you should know how to possess his own vessel in holiness and honour;

1 Thessalonians 4:11

11 And that you aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

1 Thessalonians 5:15

15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil; but always seek that which is good, both for yourselves, and for all men.

2 Thessalonians 1:8

8 Taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:12

12 Now those who are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that they work quietly, and eat their own bread.

1 Timothy 1:5

5 Now the aim of this commandment is love from a pure heart, and a good conscience, and a sincere faith:

1 Timothy 1:19

19 Holding on to faith and a good conscience; which some have rejected and so shipwrecked their faith:

1 Timothy 2:2

2 For kings, and for all who are in authority; that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness and reverence.

1 Timothy 2:9-10

9 In like manner also, let women adorn themselves in proper apparel, modestly and soberly; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly attire; 10 But with good works, as becomes women professing godliness.

1 Timothy 2:10

10 But with good works, as becomes women professing godliness. 11 Let a woman learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not allow a woman to teach, or to have authority over a man; she must keep silent.

1 Timothy 2:15

15 Yet women shall be kept safe through childbirth, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with propriety.

1 Timothy 4:12

12 Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 5:5

5 Now she who is a widow indeed, and left all alone, trusts in God, and continues in supplications and prayers night and day.

1 Timothy 5:10

10 Having a reputation for good works; if she has brought up her children, if she has shown hospitality to strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has devoted herself to every good work.

1 Timothy 6:12

12 Fight the good fight of faith; lay hold on eternal life, to which you are called, to which you made the good confession before many witnesses.

1 Timothy 6:18

18 They are to do good, that they may be rich in good works, generous and willing to share;

2 Timothy 1:3

3 I thank God, whom I serve as my forefathers did, with a pure conscience, as without ceasing I remember you night and day in my prayers.

2 Timothy 2:25

25 In gentleness correcting those who oppose him; that God might grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth;

2 Timothy 2:25-26

25 In gentleness correcting those who oppose him; that God might grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth; 26 And that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.

Titus 1:2

2 Which rests in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the beginning of time;

Titus 2:3-6

3 Urge the older women likewise, to be reverent in behaviour, not malicious gossips, not slaves to much wine, but teaching good things;

Titus 2:3-15

3 Urge the older women likewise, to be reverent in behaviour, not malicious gossips, not slaves to much wine, but teaching good things;

Titus 2:3-4

3 Urge the older women likewise, to be reverent in behaviour, not malicious gossips, not slaves to much wine, but teaching good things; 4 That they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

Titus 2:4-15

4 That they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

Titus 2:4-4

4 That they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, 5 To be sensible, chaste, workers at home, kind, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be maligned.

Titus 2:5-15

5 To be sensible, chaste, workers at home, kind, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be maligned. 6 Likewise, urge the young men to be self-controlled.

Titus 2:6-15

6 Likewise, urge the young men to be self-controlled. 7 In all things show yourself to be an example of good works, and in your teaching show purity, dignity, 8 And sound speech, which cannot be condemned; so that he who is opposed may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us.

Titus 2:8

8 And sound speech, which cannot be condemned; so that he who is opposed may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us. 9 Urge servants to be obedient to their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not to talk back, 10 Not to pilfer, but showing entire and true fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires, and live sensibly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself up for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people of his own, zealous for good works.

Titus 2:14

14 Who gave himself up for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people of his own, zealous for good works. 15 Speak these things, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man disregard you.

Titus 3:2

2 To speak evil of no man, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all courtesy to all men.

Titus 3:5-7

5 He saved us, not because of works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Spirit; 6 Whom he poured out upon us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs, having the hope of eternal life.

Titus 3:7-7

7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs, having the hope of eternal life.

Hebrews 1:3

3 He is the brightness of his glory, and the exact representation of his nature, upholding all things by the word of his power. When he had purged our sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Hebrews 1:13

13 But to which of the angels did he at any time say, Sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to serve those who shall be heirs of salvation?

Hebrews 3:6

6 But Christ was faithful as a son over his own house, whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and our joyful hope.

Hebrews 5:9

9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation for all those who obey him;

Hebrews 6:1

1 Therefore, leaving the elementary principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Hebrews 6:14

14 Saying, Surely I will bless you and I will multiply you.

Hebrews 6:18-19

18 That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us might have a strong encouragement. 19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, which enters within the veil; 20 Where Jesus, the forerunner, has entered for us, having become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

Hebrews 8:1

1 Now of that which we have spoken, this is the sum: We have such a high priest, who is seated on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven;

Hebrews 9:14

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your consciences from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 9:24

24 For Christ has not entered a holy place made with hands, a copy of the true one; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.

Hebrews 9:26

26 For then he would have needed to suffer often since the foundation of the world: but now he has appeared once at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Hebrews 9:28

28 So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many; shall appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring full salvation to those who eagerly await him.

Hebrews 10:12

12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;

Hebrews 11:7

7 By faith Noah, being warned by God of things not yet seen, reverently prepared an ark for the saving of his household; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. 8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out to a place which he should later receive as an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where he was to go.

Hebrews 11:11

11 Through faith Sarah herself received the ability to conceive, and delivered a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

19 For he reasoned that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from which, figuratively, he did receive him back.

Hebrews 12:2

2 Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 12:14

14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.

1 Let brotherly love continue.

Hebrews 13:16

16 Do not forget to do good and to share: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Hebrews 13:18

18 Pray for us: for we are sure we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honestly.

James 1:12

12 Blessed is the man who endures trial: for when he has stood the test, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love him.

James 1:21

21 Therefore, lay aside all filthiness and the wickedness that is so abundant, and receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

James 1:26

26 If any man among you thinks he is religious, but does not bridle his tongue, he deceives his own heart and his religion is in vain.

James 2:13

13 For he shall receive judgment without mercy, who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.

James 3:1-10

1 My brethren, let not many of you be teachers, knowing that as such we shall be judged more strictly. 2 For we all stumble in many ways. If any man does not stumble in his words, he is a perfect man, and able also to bridle his whole body. 3 If we put bits in the mouths of horses, that they may obey us; we guide their whole bodies. 4 Behold also the ships, which, though they are so great and are driven by such fierce winds, yet they are guided by a very small rudder, wherever the pilot directs. 5 Even so, the tongue is a small part of the body, and it boasts of great things. Behold how great a forest is kindled by a little fire! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity among our members. It defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the whole course of life; and is itself set on fire by hell. 7 For all kinds of beasts, and birds, and serpents, and creatures of the sea, are tamed, and have been tamed, by mankind: 8 But the tongue no man can tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With it we bless our Lord and Father; and with it we curse men, who are made in the likeness of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceeds blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

James 3:13-17

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? by his good life let him show forth works done with the humility of wisdom. 14 But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. 15 This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, devilish. 16 For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there is confusion and every evil work. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 3:17

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

James 3:17-18

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18 And the harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

James 4:17

17 Therefore, for him who knows the good he ought to do, and does not do it, for him it is sin.

James 5:6

6 You have condemned and killed the just man; and he does not resist you.

James 5:11

11 Behold, we count as happy those who endured. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the outcome the Lord brought about; that the Lord is full of compassion, and of tender mercy.

James 5:16

16 Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

James 5:19-20

19 Brethren, if any of you strays from the truth, and someone brings him back; 20 Let him know, that he who turns a sinner from the error of his ways shall save a soul from death, and shall cover a multitude of sins.

1 Peter 1:3-4

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who by his abundant mercy has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

1 Peter 1:3

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who by his abundant mercy has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an imperishable and undefiled inheritance, that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

1 Peter 1:11-12

11 Seeking to find to whom and when the Spirit of Christ within them was pointing, when he testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they did not serve themselves, but you, in the things which have now been made known to you by those who preached the gospel to you through the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; things into which angels desire to look.

1 Peter 1:15

15 But as he who has called you is holy, so be holy in all your conduct;

1 Peter 1:17

17 And if you address as Father the one who without partiality judges according to every man's work, then pass the time of your stay on earth in reverent fear:

1 Peter 1:22

22 Since you have purified your souls by obeying the truth, so you have a sincere love of the brethren; love one another fervently from the heart. 23 You have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever.

1 Peter 2:1

1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisy, and envy, and all kinds of slander,

1 Peter 2:12

12 Conduct yourselves righteously among the Gentiles: that, though they speak against you as evildoers, they may behold your good works and glorify God on the day of visitation.

1 Peter 2:15

15 For this is the will of God, that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men:

1 Peter 2:17

17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

1 Peter 2:19-20

19 For this is commendable, if for the sake of conscience toward God, a man endures sorrow while suffering wrongfully.

1 Peter 2:19

19 For this is commendable, if for the sake of conscience toward God, a man endures sorrow while suffering wrongfully. 20 For what credit is there, if, when you are beaten for your wrongs, you endure it patiently? but if, when you do well, and suffer for it, you endure it patiently, this is commendable before God.

1 Peter 2:20-20

20 For what credit is there, if, when you are beaten for your wrongs, you endure it patiently? but if, when you do well, and suffer for it, you endure it patiently, this is commendable before God.

1 Peter 2:20

20 For what credit is there, if, when you are beaten for your wrongs, you endure it patiently? but if, when you do well, and suffer for it, you endure it patiently, this is commendable before God. 21 For to this you were called: because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps.

1 Peter 2:21-24

21 For to this you were called: because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps. 22 He committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in his mouth;

1 Peter 2:22

22 He committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in his mouth;

1 Peter 2:22-24

22 He committed no sin, nor was any deceit found in his mouth; 23 And when he was reviled, he did not revile in return; and when he suffered, he did not threaten; but committed himself to him who judges righteously.

1 Peter 2:23-24

23 And when he was reviled, he did not revile in return; and when he suffered, he did not threaten; but committed himself to him who judges righteously. 24 He himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we might die to sins and live to righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

1 Peter 3:1-2

1 Likewise, you wives, be in subjection to your husbands; so that, if any do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the behaviour of the wives; 2 When they behold your chaste and reverent behaviour.

1 Peter 3:2

2 When they behold your chaste and reverent behaviour.

1 Peter 3:2-2

2 When they behold your chaste and reverent behaviour. 3 Let your beauty not be in outward adornment; the plaiting of hair, the wearing of gold, or the putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be of the inner person of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.

1 Peter 3:4

4 But let it be of the inner person of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God. 5 For in this manner the holy women in days of old, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, and were submissive to their husbands. 6 Thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: and you are her daughters, if you do right, and do not give way to fear.

1 Peter 3:6

6 Thus Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: and you are her daughters, if you do right, and do not give way to fear. 7 Likewise, you husbands, live with your wives considerately, giving honour to the woman as the weaker vessel, since you are heirs together of the grace of life. Do this that your prayers may not be hindered.

1 Peter 3:14-15

14 But even if you do suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled;

1 Peter 3:14

14 But even if you do suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled; 15 But set apart Christ as Lord in your hearts: and always be ready to give an answer to every man who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you; but do it with gentleness and respect,

1 Peter 3:15

15 But set apart Christ as Lord in your hearts: and always be ready to give an answer to every man who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you; but do it with gentleness and respect,

1 Peter 3:15-15

15 But set apart Christ as Lord in your hearts: and always be ready to give an answer to every man who asks you the reason for the hope that is in you; but do it with gentleness and respect, 16 Keeping a good conscience, so that when you are falsely accused, those who revile your good behaviour in Christ may be ashamed.

1 Peter 3:21

21 This water symbolizes baptism, which now saves us (not by the removal of dirt from the body, but by an appeal of a good conscience to God,) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

1 Peter 4:1

1 Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same mind: for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;

1 Peter 4:6

6 For this reason the gospel was also preached to those who are dead, that though judged in the flesh as men, they might live according to God in the spirit.

1 Peter 4:13-16

13 But rejoice, insofar as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be triumphantly joyful. 14 Blessed are you if you are insulted for the name of Christ; for the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. 15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a meddler in other men's affairs.

1 Peter 4:15

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a meddler in other men's affairs. 16 Yet if any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God that he bears that name. 17 For the time has come for judgment, which must begin with the household of God: and if it begins with us, what shall the end be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?

1 Peter 4:19

19 Therefore, let those who suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to a faithful Creator by doing right.

1 Peter 5:5

5 Likewise, you who are younger, submit yourselves to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another: for God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.

1 Peter 5:10

10 But the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

2 Peter 1:7

7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love.

2 Peter 2:5

5 And did not spare the old world, but saved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;

2 Peter 3:11

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be destroyed, what kind of people ought you to be? You should live holy and godly lives,

2 Peter 3:15

15 And consider the patience of our Lord to be salvation; just as our beloved brother Paul has written to you, according to the wisdom given to him,

1 John 1:9

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 3:14

14 We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love abides in death.

1 John 3:18-19

18 My little children, let us not love in word or in speech; but in deed and in truth. 19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him,

3 John 1:11

11 Beloved, do not follow that which is evil, but that which is good. He who does good is of God: but he who does evil has not seen God.

Revelation 14:5

5 And no lie was found in their mouths: for they are without fault.

Revelation 19:10

10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren, who hold to the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 20:7

7 And when the thousand years have expired, Satan shall be released from his prison,
