¹ Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who, through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ, have obtained the same precious faith as ours: ² Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, ³ Whose divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who has called us by his own glory and virtue: ⁴ By which he has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. ⁵ For this very reason, give all diligence to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; ⁶ And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control perseverance; and to perseverance godliness; ⁷ And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. ⁸ For if these things are in you, and are increasing, they keep you from being either ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ⁹ But he who lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. ¹⁰ Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you shall never fall: ¹¹ For in this way an entrance shall be abundantly provided for you into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. ¹² Therefore, I will always remind you of these things, though you know them, and are established in the truth you now have. ¹³ Yea, I think it right, as long as I am in this tent of my body, to stir you up way of reminder; ¹⁴ Knowing that shortly I must put off this tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me. ¹⁵ Moreover, I will endeavour to see to it that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things. ¹⁶ For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. ¹⁷ For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came a voice to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. ¹⁸ And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him on the holy mountain. ¹⁹ And so we have the word of prophecy made more certain; to which you would do well to take heed, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts: ²⁰ Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is a matter of one's private interpretation. ²¹ For prophecy did not come in times of old by the will of man: but holy men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

¹³ For if we are out of our minds, it is for God: or if we are in our right minds, it is for you. ¹⁴ For the love of Christ controls us; because we are convinced that one died for all, therefore all died: ¹⁵ And he died for all, that those who live should not henceforth live for themselves, but for him who died for them, and rose again. ¹⁶ Therefore, we no longer regard man according to the flesh: though once we regarded Christ according to the flesh, yet now we regard him thus no longer. ¹⁷ Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.

¹⁶ By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.

¹⁹ And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him, ²⁰ Whenever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. ²¹ Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, then we have confidence toward God;

¹⁴ And we have seen and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

²¹ And this commandment we have from him, That he who loves God must also love his brother.

¹⁰ He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself: he who does not believe God has made him a liar; because he does not believe the testimony that God has given regarding his Son.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. ²¹ Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

² For the sake of the truth, which dwells in us, and shall be with us forever: ³ Grace, mercy, and peace, shall be with us, from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

⁶ For they have borne witness of your love before the church. If you send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God, you shall do well:

¹ Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are called by God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ: ² May mercy, and peace, and love, be yours in abundance. ³ Beloved, while my whole concern was to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write and exhort you to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

⁵ Now I wish to remind you, though you already know all this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.

¹⁴ And Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with myriads of his holy ones,

¹⁷ But, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

⁴ John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be to you, and peace, from him who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne;

⁷ Behold, he comes with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, even those who pierced him: and all families of the earth shall mourn because of him. Even so, Amen.

⁹ I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation, and kingdom, and endurance which are ours in Jesus, was on the island that is called Patmos, because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

² I know your works, and your labour, and your patience, and how you cannot bear those who are evil, and how you have tested those who say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them to be liars;

²⁸ And I will give him the morning star.

¹⁰ Because you have kept my word to patiently endure, I will keep you from the hour of trial, which shall come upon all the world, to test those who live upon the earth. ¹¹ Behold, I come quickly: hold fast to that which you have, that no man may take your crown.

¹⁷ For you say, I am rich, and have grown wealthy, and have need of nothing; but you do not know that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.

²¹ To him who overcomes I will grant the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.

¹⁰ And have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God: and they shall reign upon the earth.

¹⁰ He who is to go into captivity shall go into captivity: he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

¹² Here is the endurance of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren, who hold to the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

¹⁴ Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.

¹⁶ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to you to testify of these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.
