2 Peter Cross References - RKJNT

1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who, through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ, have obtained the same precious faith as ours: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 Whose divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who has called us by his own glory and virtue: 4 By which he has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 For this very reason, give all diligence to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control perseverance; and to perseverance godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are in you, and are increasing, they keep you from being either ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he who lacks these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and has forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you shall never fall: 11 For in this way an entrance shall be abundantly provided for you into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 12 Therefore, I will always remind you of these things, though you know them, and are established in the truth you now have. 13 Yea, I think it right, as long as I am in this tent of my body, to stir you up way of reminder; 14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me. 15 Moreover, I will endeavour to see to it that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things. 16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came a voice to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him on the holy mountain. 19 And so we have the word of prophecy made more certain; to which you would do well to take heed, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is a matter of one's private interpretation. 21 For prophecy did not come in times of old by the will of man: but holy men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become a noisy gong, or a clanging cymbal. 2 And if I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so that I can remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. 4 Love is patient, and is kind; love does not envy; love does not boast, and is not arrogant; 5 It is not rude, does not insist on its own way, is not easily provoked, it keeps no account of wrongs suffered; 6 It does not rejoice in injustice, but rejoices in the truth; 7 Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails: but where there are prophecies, they shall pass away; where there are tongues, they shall cease; where there is knowledge, it shall vanish away.

2 But we have renounced the hidden, shameful things, and do not walk in craftiness, nor handle the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 3 But if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 For the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe, lest they should see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God.

2 Corinthians 4:4-6

4 For the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe, lest they should see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord; and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:6-6

6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

2 Corinthians 4:13

13 As it is written, I believed, and therefore I have spoken; so we, with the same spirit of faith, also believe, and therefore speak;

2 Corinthians 5:1

1 For we know that if the earthly tent in which we live is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2 Corinthians 5:1-4

1 For we know that if the earthly tent in which we live is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 2 For in this house we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our dwelling which is from heaven: 3 So that being clothed we shall not be found naked. 4 For we who are in this tent groan, being burdened: not that we would be unclothed, but rather further clothed, that mortality might be swallowed up by life.

2 Corinthians 5:8

8 We are confident, and would rather be absent from the body, and present with the Lord.

2 Corinthians 5:13-17

13 For if we are out of our minds, it is for God: or if we are in our right minds, it is for you. 14 For the love of Christ controls us; because we are convinced that one died for all, therefore all died: 15 And he died for all, that those who live should not henceforth live for themselves, but for him who died for them, and rose again. 16 Therefore, we no longer regard man according to the flesh: though once we regarded Christ according to the flesh, yet now we regard him thus no longer. 17 Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold, new things have come.

2 Corinthians 5:21

21 For our sakes he has made him to be sin, who knew no sin; that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

2 Corinthians 6:4

4 But as the ministers of God we commend ourselves in all things; in much endurance, in afflictions, in hardships, in distress,

2 Corinthians 6:17-7:1

17 Therefore, come out from among them, and be separate, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing; and I will welcome you,

2 Corinthians 8:2

2 For during a great test of affliction, the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty overflowed in a wealth of liberality.

2 Corinthians 8:7

7 Therefore, as you excel in everything, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all earnestness, and in your love for us, see that you excel in this gracious work as well.

2 Corinthians 9:14

14 And in their prayers, their hearts will go out to you because of the surpassing grace of God in you.

2 Corinthians 11:31

31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus, who is blessed forevermore, knows that I do not lie.

2 Corinthians 12:9

9 And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, most gladly will I boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:16-17

16 But be that as it may, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with guile. 17 Did I take advantage of you by any of those whom I sent to you?

2 Corinthians 13:5

5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test your own selves. Do you not realize that Jesus Christ is in you, unless indeed you fail the test?

Galatians 2:8

8 (For he who worked effectively in Peter in his apostleship to the circumcised, also worked in me for the Gentiles:)

Galatians 3:16

16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He does not say, And to seeds, as to many; but to one, And to your seed, which is Christ.

Galatians 5:6

6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; but faith which works through love.

Galatians 5:13

13 For, brethren, you have been called to liberty; only do not use your liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but in love serve one another.

Galatians 5:23

23 Gentleness, self-control: against such things there is no law.

Galatians 6:8

8 For he who sows to his flesh shall from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit shall from the Spirit reap eternal life.

Galatians 6:10

10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Ephesians 1:17-18

17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 That the eyes of your heart may be enlightened; so you may know what is the hope of his calling, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the incomparable greatness of his power toward us who believe. It is the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he exerted in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.

Ephesians 3:5

5 Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

Ephesians 3:20

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

Ephesians 4:1

1 Therefore I, a prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,

Ephesians 4:4

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope in your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

Ephesians 4:11

11 And he gave some as apostles; and some as prophets; and some as evangelists; and some as pastors and teachers;

Ephesians 4:14

14 That we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming.

Ephesians 4:23-24

23 And be renewed in the spirit of your minds; 24 And put on the new man, who, in the likeness of God, is created in true righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 5:7-8

7 Therefore, do not be partakers with them. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord: walk as children of light;

Ephesians 5:17

17 Therefore, do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

Ephesians 5:26

26 That he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water through the word,

Philippians 1:9

9 And this I pray, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and in all discernment;

Philippians 1:29

29 For to you it is granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for his sake;

Philippians 2:5

5 Let this attitude be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Philippians 2:12

12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only in my presence, but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Philippians 3:1

1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is no trouble, and is a safeguard for you.

Philippians 3:8

8 Furthermore, I count all things as loss compared to the excellency of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may win Christ, 9 And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, based on the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:

Philippians 3:21

21 Who shall change our lowly body, that it may be fashioned like his glorious body, by the power which enables him even to subject all things to himself.

Philippians 4:8

8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are admirable; if there is any virtue, and if there is anything worthy of praise, think on these things.

Colossians 1:9

9 For this reason, since the day we heard it, we do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Colossians 1:11

11 Strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, with all endurance and patience with joyfulness;

Colossians 1:16

16 For by him were all things created that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities: all things were created by him, and for him:

Colossians 2:3

3 In whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

Colossians 2:7

7 Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, and abounding with thanksgiving.

Colossians 3:10

10 And have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of the one who created him.

Colossians 3:14

14 And above all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.

Colossians 3:16

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

1 Thessalonians 1:3

3 Always remembering your work of faith, and labour of love, and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of our God and Father;

1 Thessalonians 1:3-4

3 Always remembering your work of faith, and labour of love, and endurance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of our God and Father; 4 Knowing, brethren loved by God, that he has chosen you.

1 Thessalonians 2:12

12 That you would walk in a manner worthy of God, who has called you into his kingdom and glory.

1 Thessalonians 2:19

19 For what is our hope, our joy, our crown of rejoicing in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? Is it not even you?

1 Thessalonians 3:12

12 And may the Lord make you to increase and abound in love toward one another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:

1 Thessalonians 4:1

1 Furthermore, we urge you, brethren, and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you have learned from us how you ought to walk and to please God, as indeed you are doing, so you would do more and more.

1 Thessalonians 4:7

7 For God has not called us to impurity, but to holiness.

1 Thessalonians 4:9-10

9 But regarding brotherly love you do not need any one to write to you: for you yourselves have been taught by God to love one another. 10 And indeed you do love all the brethren who are in all Macedonia: but we urge you, brethren, that you do so more and more;

1 Thessalonians 5:15

15 See that no one repays another with evil for evil; but always seek that which is good, both for yourselves, and for all men.

2 Thessalonians 1:3

3 We ought always to thank God for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith grows abundantly, and the love of every one of you for each other grows greater; 4 So that we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all the persecutions and tribulations which you endure:

2 Thessalonians 2:9

9 The coming of the lawless one is through the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders,

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14

13 But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth: 14 To this he called you through our gospel, to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:14-14

14 To this he called you through our gospel, to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:5

5 May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the steadfastness of Christ.

1 Timothy 1:4

4 Nor to give heed to myths and endless genealogies, which promote useless speculation, rather than godly training, which is by faith.

1 Timothy 1:9

9 Understanding this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

1 Timothy 2:2

2 For kings, and for all who are in authority; that we may lead quiet and peaceable lives in all godliness and reverence.

1 Timothy 2:10

10 But with good works, as becomes women professing godliness.

1 Timothy 3:16

16 And beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He was revealed in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

1 Timothy 4:6

6 If you point out all these things to the brethren, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished by the words of faith and of good doctrine, which you have been following. 7 But have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales, but rather train yourself in godliness;

1 Timothy 4:7

7 But have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales, but rather train yourself in godliness; 8 For bodily exercise is of some value: but godliness is of value in all things, having promise in this life, and in that which is to come.

1 Timothy 4:8-8

8 For bodily exercise is of some value: but godliness is of value in all things, having promise in this life, and in that which is to come.

1 Timothy 5:13

13 Besides, they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

1 Timothy 6:3

3 If any man teaches otherwise, and does not consent to sound words, the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the teaching which accords with godliness;

1 Timothy 6:6

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.

1 Timothy 6:11

11 But you, O man of God, flee these things; and follow righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, and gentleness.

2 Timothy 1:5

5 I am reminded of the sincere faith that is in you, which lived first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and I am persuaded is in you also. 6 Therefore, I would remind you to stir into flame the gift of God, which is in you by the laying on of my hands.

2 Timothy 1:9

9 Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not by virtue of our works, but because of his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,

2 Timothy 2:2

2 And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

2 Timothy 2:19

19 Nevertheless, the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal, The Lord knows those who are his. And, Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.

2 Timothy 3:5

5 Holding to a form of godliness, but denying its power. From such men turn away.

2 Timothy 3:15-17

15 And how from childhood you have known the holy scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for all good works.

2 Timothy 4:6

6 For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand.

2 Timothy 4:8

8 Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me on that day: and not only to me, but also to all those who have longed for his appearing.

Titus 1:1

1 Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to further the faith of God's chosen and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,

Titus 1:4

4 To Titus, my own child in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour.

Titus 1:8

8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good, sensible, just, holy, self-controlled;

Titus 1:14

14 Not giving heed to Jewish myths, and commandments of men who turn from the truth.

Titus 2:2

2 Urge the older men to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in steadfastness.

Titus 2:13

13 Looking for the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself up for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people of his own, zealous for good works.

Titus 3:14

14 And let our people learn to engage in honest employment, so they may meet urgent needs, and that they may not be unfruitful.

Philemon 1:6

6 And I pray that the sharing of your faith may promote the knowledge of every good thing which is ours in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 1:3

3 He is the brightness of his glory, and the exact representation of his nature, upholding all things by the word of his power. When he had purged our sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Hebrews 3:7

7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says, Today if you hear his voice,

Hebrews 6:11

11 And we desire that every one of you show the same diligence in realizing the full assurance of hope until the end: 12 That you may not grow slothful, but be followers of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

Hebrews 6:15

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Hebrews 6:17

17 Therefore God, wanting to show more clearly to the heirs of the promise the immutable nature of his purpose, confirmed it by an oath:

Hebrews 6:19

19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, which enters within the veil;

Hebrews 8:6-12

6 But now he has obtained a ministry that is as much superior to the old as the covenant of which he is the mediator is superior, for it was established upon better promises. 7 For if the first covenant had been faultless, then there would have been no occasion sought for a second. 8 For he finds fault with them, saying, Behold, the days will come, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: 9 Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they did not continue in my covenant, and I turned away from them, says the Lord. 10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people: 11 And no longer shall every man teach his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest. 12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins I will remember no more.

Hebrews 9:8

8 By this the Holy Spirit signifies that the way into the holiest of all has not yet been disclosed, while the first room of the tabernacle remains standing,

Hebrews 9:14

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your consciences from dead works to serve the living God? 15 And for this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions committed under the first covenant, those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance.

Hebrews 10:15

15 And the Holy Spirit also is a witness to us: for after he said,

Hebrews 10:32

32 But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after you were illuminated, you endured a great struggle in the face of afflictions;

Hebrews 10:36

36 For you have need of endurance, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.

Hebrews 11:4

4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, and by it he obtained the testimony that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by faith, though he is dead, yet he speaks.

Hebrews 11:6

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he who comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Hebrews 12:1

1 Therefore, seeing we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily entangle us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Hebrews 12:10

10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them; but he disciplines us for our good, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

Hebrews 12:15

15 See to it that no man fails to obtain the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up should trouble you, and thereby defile many;

Hebrews 13:1

1 Let brotherly love continue.

Hebrews 13:3

3 Remember those who are in prison, as if in prison with them; and those who suffer adversity, since you yourselves are also in the body.

Hebrews 13:9

9 Do not be carried away by varied and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing for the heart to be established by grace, not by foods, which have not benefitted those who have been occupied with them.

James 1:3-4

3 Knowing that the trying of your faith produces endurance.

James 1:3

3 Knowing that the trying of your faith produces endurance. 4 And let endurance have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

James 2:8

8 If you fulfill the royal law, according to the scripture, You shall love your neighbour as yourself, you do well,

James 2:14-26

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if a man say he has faith, but has not works? can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is without clothing, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you says to him, Depart in peace, be warmed and filled; yet you do not give him the things which are necessary for the body; of what benefit is that? 17 Even so faith, if it does not have works, is dead, being alone. 18 But a man may say, You have faith, and I have works: show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God; you do well: the devils believe also, and tremble. 20 Do you want to be shown, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered Isaac his son upon the altar? 22 You see that faith was active with his works, and by works was faith made perfect; 23 And the scripture was fulfilled which says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 And in the same way was not Rahab the prostitute justified by works, when she received the messengers, and had sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead.

James 4:1-3

1 What causes strife and quarrels among you? do they not come from your passions, which are at war in your members? 2 You covet, and do not have, so you kill; and envy, and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask, and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it upon your pleasures.

James 5:7-10

7 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and is patient for it, until it receives the early and the late rains. 8 You also be patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws near. 9 Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door. 10 My brethren, take the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering, and of patience.

1 Peter 1:1

1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the exiles scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, 2 Chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, and sanctified by the Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be multiplied to you.

1 Peter 1:5

5 Who are guarded by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

1 Peter 1:7

7 That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold, which perishes, though it is tested by fire, might be found to result in praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:10

10 Of this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that should come to you enquired and searched diligently: 11 Seeking to find to whom and when the Spirit of Christ within them was pointing, when he testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow.

1 Peter 1:15

15 But as he who has called you is holy, so be holy in all your conduct;

1 Peter 1:22

22 Since you have purified your souls by obeying the truth, so you have a sincere love of the brethren; love one another fervently from the heart.

1 Peter 2:7

7 Therefore, to you who believe, he is precious: but to those who disbelieve, the stone which the builders rejected has become the very cornerstone,

1 Peter 2:9

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God; that you should declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

1 Peter 2:17

17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

1 Peter 2:21

21 For to this you were called: because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps.

1 Peter 3:7

7 Likewise, you husbands, live with your wives considerately, giving honour to the woman as the weaker vessel, since you are heirs together of the grace of life. Do this that your prayers may not be hindered. 8 Finally, be of one mind, have sympathy for one another, love as brethren, be compassionate, be humble. 9 Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult: but instead with blessing; knowing that you were called to this, that you should inherit a blessing.

1 Peter 3:21

21 This water symbolizes baptism, which now saves us (not by the removal of dirt from the body, but by an appeal of a good conscience to God,) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

1 Peter 4:2-3

2 That he may live the rest of his time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. 3 For the time past was sufficient for doing the things the Gentiles desire to do: living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, revelling, carousing, and abominable idolatries.

1 Peter 5:1

1 I exhort the elders who are among you, as a fellow elder, and as a witness of the sufferings of Christ and as a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

1 Peter 5:10

10 But the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

1 Peter 5:12

12 Through Silvanus, a faithful brother, as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God; stand fast in it.

2 Peter 1:1

1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who, through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ, have obtained the same precious faith as ours: 2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

2 Peter 1:2-3

2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 Whose divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who has called us by his own glory and virtue:

2 Peter 1:3-3

3 Whose divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who has called us by his own glory and virtue: 4 By which he has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Peter 1:4-7

4 By which he has given to us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 For this very reason, give all diligence to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

2 Peter 1:5-7

5 For this very reason, give all diligence to add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge self-control; and to self-control perseverance; and to perseverance godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness love. 8 For if these things are in you, and are increasing, they keep you from being either ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Peter 1:10

10 Therefore, brethren, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure: for if you do these things, you shall never fall:

2 Peter 1:12

12 Therefore, I will always remind you of these things, though you know them, and are established in the truth you now have. 13 Yea, I think it right, as long as I am in this tent of my body, to stir you up way of reminder; 14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me. 15 Moreover, I will endeavour to see to it that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.

2 Peter 2:18-20

18 For they speak great swelling words of vanity, and allure through the lusts of the flesh, through sensuality, those who are just escaping from the ones who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the slaves of depravity: for by that which a man is overcome, to that he is enslaved. 20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled by them, and overcome, they are worse off in the end than at the beginning.

2 Peter 2:20-20

20 For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled by them, and overcome, they are worse off in the end than at the beginning.

2 Peter 3:1

1 This is now the second letter, beloved, that I have written to you, in which I stir up your sincere minds by way of remembrance:

2 Peter 3:3-4

3 Knowing this first, that in the last days scoffers shall come, scoffing and walking after their own lusts,

2 Peter 3:3

3 Knowing this first, that in the last days scoffers shall come, scoffing and walking after their own lusts, 4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

2 Peter 3:11

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be destroyed, what kind of people ought you to be? You should live holy and godly lives,

2 Peter 3:14

14 Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for these things, be diligent that you may be found at peace with him, without spot, and blameless.

2 Peter 3:17

17 But you, beloved, seeing that you know these things beforehand, beware lest you also, being led away by the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

1 John 1:1-3

1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life; 2 (For the life was revealed, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

1 John 1:7

7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

1 John 2:9-11

9 He who says he is in the light, yet hates his brother, is in darkness even until now. 10 He who loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause for stumbling in him. 11 But he who hates his brother is in darkness, and walks in darkness, and does not know where he goes, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

1 John 2:15-16

15 Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

1 John 2:21

1 John 3:19-21

19 And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him, 20 Whenever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, then we have confidence toward God;

1 John 5:20-21

20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us understanding, that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life. 21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

2 John 1:2

2 For the sake of the truth, which dwells in us, and shall be with us forever: 3 Grace, mercy, and peace, shall be with us, from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

3 John 1:6
