1 Peter 5 Cross References - RKJNT

1 I exhort the elders who are among you, as a fellow elder, and as a witness of the sufferings of Christ and as a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 2 Tend the flock of God which is in your charge, not by compulsion, but willingly; not for sordid gain, but eagerly; 3 Not being lords over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that does not fade away. 5 Likewise, you who are younger, submit yourselves to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another: for God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. 6 Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7 Casting all your anxiety upon him; for he cares for you. 8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, walks about, seeking someone he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are required of your brethren who are throughout the world. 10 But the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To him be dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 12 Through Silvanus, a faithful brother, as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God; stand fast in it. 13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, greets you; and so does Mark, my son. 14 Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace be with all of you who are in Christ Jesus.

7 And to give rest to you who are afflicted, along with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, 8 Taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 They shall be punished with eternal ruin and exclusion from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints on that day, and to be marveled at among all those who believe, including you, because our testimony among you was believed.

2 Thessalonians 2:14

14 To this he called you through our gospel, to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 Thessalonians 2:17

17 Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good work and word.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil.

2 Thessalonians 3:9

9 Not because we do not have the right, but to make ourselves an example for you to follow.

1 Timothy 2:6

6 Who gave himself as a ransom for all, the testimony at the proper time.

1 Timothy 2:9

9 In like manner also, let women adorn themselves in proper apparel, modestly and soberly; not with braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly attire;

1 Timothy 2:15

15 Yet women shall be kept safe through childbirth, if they continue in faith and love and holiness with propriety.

1 Timothy 3:2

2 An overseer must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sensible, respectable, given to hospitality, able to teach; 3 Not given to wine, not combative, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money;

1 Timothy 3:8

8 Deacons, likewise, must be serious, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for gain;

1 Timothy 3:11

11 In the same way, the women must be serious, not malicious gossips, but temperate, faithful in all things.

1 Timothy 4:12

12 Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 5:1

1 Do not rebuke an older man, but entreat him as a father; and the younger men as brothers;

1 Timothy 5:19

19 Do not receive an accusation against an elder, except on the evidence of two or three witnesses.

1 Timothy 6:12

12 Fight the good fight of faith; lay hold on eternal life, to which you are called, to which you made the good confession before many witnesses.

2 Timothy 1:9

9 Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not by virtue of our works, but because of his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,

2 Timothy 2:10

10 Therefore, I endure all things for the sake of the chosen, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with its eternal glory.

2 Timothy 3:12

12 Yes, and all who will live godly lives in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

2 Timothy 4:7

7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me on that day: and not only to me, but also to all those who have longed for his appearing.

2 Timothy 4:17

17 But the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

Titus 1:3

3 And at the proper time he revealed his word through the preaching which was entrusted to me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

Titus 1:5

5 For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that remained, and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you.

Titus 1:7

7 For an overseer must be blameless, as the steward of God; not self-willed, not easily angered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for gain; 8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good, sensible, just, holy, self-controlled;

Titus 1:11

11 Whose mouths must be stopped, for they are subverting whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for sordid gain.

Titus 2:2

2 Urge the older men to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in steadfastness.

Titus 2:4

4 That they may train the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

Titus 2:6

6 Likewise, urge the young men to be self-controlled. 7 In all things show yourself to be an example of good works, and in your teaching show purity, dignity,

Titus 2:12

12 Teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires, and live sensibly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Titus 2:14

14 Who gave himself up for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people of his own, zealous for good works.

Titus 3:1

1 Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do every good work,

Philemon 1:9

9 Yet for love's sake I prefer to appeal to you, I, Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ.

Philemon 1:14

14 But without your consent I did not want to do anything; that your benevolence should not be, as it were, of necessity, but willingly.

Hebrews 9:15

15 And for this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has taken place for the redemption of the transgressions committed under the first covenant, those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance.

Hebrews 11:33

33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, established justice, obtained promises, closed the mouths of lions,

Hebrews 12:15

15 See to it that no man fails to obtain the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up should trouble you, and thereby defile many;

Hebrews 13:5-6

5 Let your lives be free from the love of money; and be content with such things as you have: for he has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you. 6 So we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man can do to me.

Hebrews 13:17

17 Obey those who lead you, and submit to them: for they watch over your souls as those who must give account. Let it be a joyful task for them, not a sad one: for that would be unprofitable for you.

Hebrews 13:20

20 Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the eternal covenant,

Hebrews 13:20-21

20 Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the eternal covenant, 21 Equip you with every good thing to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. 22 And I urge you, brethren, bear with this word of exhortation: for I have written to you a letter of few words.

James 1:9-10

9 Let the brother of humble circumstances rejoice that he is exalted: 10 And the rich, that he is made humble: because like the flower of the grass he shall pass away.

James 1:12

12 Blessed is the man who endures trial: for when he has stood the test, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love him.

James 4:6

6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. 7 Therefore, submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

James 4:10

10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

James 5:10

10 My brethren, take the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering, and of patience.

1 Peter 1:2

2 Chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, and sanctified by the Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be multiplied to you. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who by his abundant mercy has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an imperishable and undefiled inheritance, that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

1 Peter 1:4

4 To an imperishable and undefiled inheritance, that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, 5 Who are guarded by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a time you may have to suffer various trials:

1 Peter 1:6-7

6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a time you may have to suffer various trials: 7 That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold, which perishes, though it is tested by fire, might be found to result in praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:7-7

7 That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold, which perishes, though it is tested by fire, might be found to result in praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:12

12 It was revealed to them that they did not serve themselves, but you, in the things which have now been made known to you by those who preached the gospel to you through the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; things into which angels desire to look. 13 Therefore gird up your minds, be sober, and fix your hope fully on the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:15

15 But as he who has called you is holy, so be holy in all your conduct;

1 Peter 2:9

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God; that you should declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

1 Peter 2:21

21 For to this you were called: because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow his steps.

1 Peter 2:25

25 For you were like sheep going astray; but you have now returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

1 Peter 3:3-4

3 Let your beauty not be in outward adornment; the plaiting of hair, the wearing of gold, or the putting on of apparel; 4 But let it be of the inner person of your heart, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.

1 Peter 3:14

14 But even if you do suffer for righteousness' sake, you are blessed. And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled;

1 Peter 4:1

1 Therefore, since Christ has suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves with the same mind: for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;

1 Peter 4:5

5 But they shall give an account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.

1 Peter 4:7

7 But the end of all things is at hand: therefore be of sound mind and sober judgement for prayer.

1 Peter 4:11

11 If any man speak, let it be as one who speaks the oracles of God; if any man serves, let him do it as by the strength which God supplies: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Peter 4:13

13 But rejoice, insofar as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be triumphantly joyful.

1 Peter 5:2

2 Tend the flock of God which is in your charge, not by compulsion, but willingly; not for sordid gain, but eagerly;

1 Peter 5:4

4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that does not fade away.

2 Peter 1:3

3 Whose divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who has called us by his own glory and virtue:

2 Peter 1:12

12 Therefore, I will always remind you of these things, though you know them, and are established in the truth you now have.

2 Peter 2:3

3 And in greed they shall exploit you with false words: the judgment against them from of old does not linger, and their condemnation does not slumber.

2 Peter 2:15

15 Who have forsaken the right way, and have gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

1 John 2:25

25 And this is the promise which he himself has given us: eternal life.

1 John 3:2

2 Beloved, now we are the sons of God; and what we shall be has not yet been disclosed: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

1 John 3:8-10

8 He who commits sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 No one who is born of God practices sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother.

1 John 5:9-10

9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for it is the testimony of God, which he has given regarding his Son. 10 He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself: he who does not believe God has made him a liar; because he does not believe the testimony that God has given regarding his Son.

2 John 1:1-3 John 1:15

1 The elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not only I, but also all those who know the truth, 2 For the sake of the truth, which dwells in us, and shall be with us forever: 3 Grace, mercy, and peace, shall be with us, from God the Father, and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 4 I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have been commanded by the Father. 5 And now I urge you, lady, not as though I were writing a new commandment to you, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6 And this is love, that we walk in obedience to his commandments. This is the commandment you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in love. 7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world, who do not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh. Such a one is a deceiver and an antichrist. 8 Look to yourselves, that you do not lose those things which we have worked for, but that you may receive a full reward. 9 Whoever runs too far ahead, and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. He who abides in the teaching of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you, and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, or give him any encouragement: 11 For he who encourages him is a partaker in his evil deeds. 12 Though I have many things to write to you, I do not want to do so with paper and ink: but I hope to come to you, and speak face to face, that our joy may be full. 13 The children of your chosen sister greet you.

2 John 1:13

13 The children of your chosen sister greet you.

3 John 1:1-15

1 The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth. 2 Beloved, I pray that in all things you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. 3 For I rejoiced greatly, when some brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, how you walk in the truth. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. 5 Beloved, you act faithfully whenever you perform any service for the brethren, especially when they are strangers. 6 For they have borne witness of your love before the church. If you send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God, you shall do well: 7 Because for his name's sake they went forth, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. 8 Therefore we ought to support such men, that we might be fellow workers in the truth. 9 I wrote to the church: but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not accept us.

3 John 1:9-10

9 I wrote to the church: but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not accept us. 10 Therefore, if I come, I will call attention to his deeds, prating against us with malicious words: and not content with that, he refuses to welcome the brethren, and forbids those who would, and casts them out of the church.

3 John 1:10-10

10 Therefore, if I come, I will call attention to his deeds, prating against us with malicious words: and not content with that, he refuses to welcome the brethren, and forbids those who would, and casts them out of the church. 11 Beloved, do not follow that which is evil, but that which is good. He who does good is of God: but he who does evil has not seen God. 12 Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone, and by the truth itself: and we also bear witness; and you know that our testimony is true.

3 John 1:12

12 Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone, and by the truth itself: and we also bear witness; and you know that our testimony is true. 13 I had many things to write, but I prefer not to write with pen and ink: 14 { But I hope I shall see you shortly, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to you. The friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.}

Jude 1:3

3 Beloved, while my whole concern was to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write and exhort you to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

Jude 1:24

24 Now to him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless in the presence of his glory with exceedingly great joy,

Revelation 1:6

6 And has made us a kingdom, and priests to his God and Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, he comes with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, even those who pierced him: and all families of the earth shall mourn because of him. Even so, Amen.

Revelation 2:10

Revelation 3:11

11 Behold, I come quickly: hold fast to that which you have, that no man may take your crown.

Revelation 5:13

13 And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be to him who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever.

Revelation 6:11

11 And white robes were given to every one of them; and it was said to them, that they should rest yet for a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren, who would be killed as they were, should be completed.

Revelation 7:14

14 And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Revelation 12:9

9 And the great dragon was cast down, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, who deceives the whole world: he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.

Revelation 12:12

12 Therefore rejoice, you heavens, and you who live in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has but a short time.

Revelation 17:5

5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

Revelation 18:2

2 And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great. It has become the dwelling place of devils, and the haunt of every foul spirit, and a haunt of every unclean and loathsome bird.

Revelation 18:12-13

12 Cargoes of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all citron wood, and all articles of ivory, and all articles of precious wood, and of bronze, and iron, and marble, 13 And cinnamon, and spice, and incense, and myrrh, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and cattle, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and the souls of men.

Revelation 20:2

2 And he laid hold of the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,

Revelation 20:10

10 And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet were, and they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. 11 And I saw a great white throne, and him who sat upon it, from whose face earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.
