¹ Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are called by God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ: ² May mercy, and peace, and love, be yours in abundance. ³ Beloved, while my whole concern was to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write and exhort you to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. ⁴ For certain men have crept in secretly, who were long ago ordained for this condemnation; ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into licentiousness, and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. ⁵ Now I wish to remind you, though you already know all this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. ⁶ And the angels which did not keep their own domain, but left their proper abode, he has kept in eternal chains under darkness for the great day of judgment. ⁷ Just as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, which gave themselves over in a similar manner to sexual immorality, and to going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example of suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. ⁸ Likewise, these dreamers defile the flesh, despise authority, and speak evil of the glorious ones. ⁹ Yet Michael the archangel, when he contended with the devil and argued over the body of Moses, did not dare to bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke you. ¹⁰ But these men speak evil of things which they do not understand: but what they know by instinct, like brute beasts, by these things they corrupt themselves. ¹¹ Woe to them! for they have gone the way of Cain, and for profit have plunged into the error of Balaam, and have perished in the rebellion of Korah. ¹² These men are blemishes at your feasts of love, when they eat with you without fear: clouds without water, carried about by the winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; ¹³ Raging waves of the sea, flinging up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the blackest darkness is reserved forever. ¹⁴ And Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with myriads of his holy ones, ¹⁵ To execute judgment upon all, and to convict all who are ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh words which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. ¹⁶ These are grumblers, complainers, following after their own lusts; and their mouths speak great swelling words, flattering people to gain an advantage. ¹⁷ But, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ; ¹⁸ They told you there would be mockers in the last time, who would walk after their own ungodly lusts. ¹⁹ These are the ones who cause division, worldly men who do not have the Spirit. ²⁰ But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, ²¹ Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. ²² And have compassion on some, who are doubting: ²³ Save others, pulling them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. ²⁴ Now to him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless in the presence of his glory with exceedingly great joy, ²⁵ To the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory and majesty, dominion and authority, before all time, and now, and forevermore. Amen.

³ Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the tax gatherer; James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;

¹⁸ And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Zealot,

¹⁶ And Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.

³⁹ And this is the will of him who sent me, that of all he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up on the last day.

²⁸ And I give them eternal life; and they shall never perish, nor shall any man pluck them out of my hand. ²⁹ My Father, who gave them to me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one.

²⁶ If any man serves me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall my servant be also: if any man serves me, the Father will honour him.

²² Judas, not Iscariot, said to him, Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?

¹⁶ You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you to go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: so that whatever you shall ask from the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

¹¹ And now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to you. Holy Father, keep those whom you have given me in your own name, that they may be one, as we are. ¹² While I was with them in the world, I kept them in your name: those you gave me I have kept, and none of them has been lost, except the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

¹⁵ I do not pray that you would take them out of the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one.

¹⁷ Sanctify them in the truth: your word is truth.

¹⁹ And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified in the truth.

¹³ And when they had come in, they went into an upper room where they were staying; Peter, and John, and James, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.

³² And now, brethren, I commit you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

²³ For this night there stood before me an angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,

¹ Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God,

²² But now, having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you gain the benefit that leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.

³⁰ And whom he predestined, those he also called: and whom he called, those he also justified: and whom he justified, those he also glorified.

²⁴ Even us, whom he has called, not only from among the Jews, but also from among the Gentiles?

¹⁸ For they do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own bellies; and by smooth words and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the simple.

² To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all those in every place who call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their Lord and ours:

¹¹ And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

²⁶ That he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water through the word,

¹² That you would walk in a manner worthy of God, who has called you into his kingdom and glory.

²³ Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹³ But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth: ¹⁴ To this he called you through our gospel, to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁹ Who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not by virtue of our works, but because of his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus from all eternity,

¹⁸ And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom: to him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹ Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our profession;

¹ James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greetings. ² Chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, and sanctified by the Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be multiplied to you.

⁵ Who are guarded by the power of God through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God; that you should declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

¹ Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who, through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ, have obtained the same precious faith as ours:

⁷ To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

² Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,

⁴ John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be to you, and peace, from him who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne; ⁵ And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, and the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and freed us from our sins by his own blood, ⁶ And has made us a kingdom, and priests to his God and Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

¹² And there is salvation in no one else: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved.

⁸ And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people. ⁹ Then there arose some from what is called the synagogue of the Freedmen, including Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and some from Cilicia and Asia, and disputed with Stephen. ¹⁰ But they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke.

²² But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived at Damascus, by proving that Jesus is the Christ.

⁴⁶ Then Paul and Barnabas grew bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should have first been spoken to you: but seeing that you thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. ⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the ends of the earth.

³ Explaining and proving, that Christ needed to suffer, and to rise again from the dead; and saying, this Jesus, whom I preach to you, is the Christ.

⁴ And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. ⁵ And when Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul devoted himself to preaching, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ. ⁶ And when they opposed and reviled him, he shook out his clothing, and said to them, May your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: henceforth I will go to the Gentiles.

²⁸ For he mightily refuted the Jews, and that publicly, showing by the scriptures that Jesus was the Christ.

²⁷ For I have not hesitated to declare to you all the counsel of God.

²⁸ Therefore let it be known to you, that the salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles, and they will hear it.

¹⁵ Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as a reminder, because of the grace given to me by God, ¹⁶ That I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, in the priestly service of the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

³ For I delivered to you as of first importance that which I received, that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

⁵ We did not yield in subjection to them, not even for a hour; that the truth of the gospel might remain with you.

²⁸ There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female: for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:

¹ Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and deacons:

²⁷ Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or am absent, I may hear of you, that you are standing fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

² To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are at Colossae: Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father.

² But even after we had already suffered, and were shamefully treated, as you know, in Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak to you the gospel of God despite much opposition.

¹⁸ This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies once made about you, that by them you might fight the good fight;

¹² Fight the good fight of faith; lay hold on eternal life, to which you are called, to which you made the good confession before many witnesses.

⁷ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: ⁸ Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me on that day: and not only to me, but also to all those who have longed for his appearing.

²² And I urge you, brethren, bear with this word of exhortation: for I have written to you a letter of few words.

¹² Through Silvanus, a faithful brother, as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God; stand fast in it.

¹² Therefore, I will always remind you of these things, though you know them, and are established in the truth you now have. ¹³ Yea, I think it right, as long as I am in this tent of my body, to stir you up way of reminder; ¹⁴ Knowing that shortly I must put off this tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ has shown me. ¹⁵ Moreover, I will endeavour to see to it that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.

¹ This is now the second letter, beloved, that I have written to you, in which I stir up your sincere minds by way of remembrance: ² That you may recall the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and the commandment of the Lord and Saviour given through your apostles:

¹⁷ But, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

²⁰ But you, beloved, build yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

¹⁰ Do not fear any of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tested; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.

²⁵ But while everyone slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went away.

²³ When he came, and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and exhorted them all, that with resolute hearts they would cling to the Lord;

²⁴ Since we have heard that some, to whom we gave no such commandment, went out from us and have troubled you with their words, subverting your souls, saying, You must be circumcised, and keep the law:

¹ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? ² By no means. How shall we, who are dead to sin, live in it any longer?

²¹ Does not the potter have the right to make from the same lump of clay one vessel for noble use, and another for common use? ²² What if God, desiring to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with great patience the vessels of wrath made for destruction:

⁴ That arose because of false brethren who secretly slipped in to spy out the liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage.

¹³ For, brethren, you have been called to liberty; only do not use your liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but in love serve one another.

¹⁴ That we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming.

¹⁵ Which he will bring about in his own time, he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; ¹⁶ Who alone has immortality, dwelling in light which no man can approach; whom no man has seen, nor can see. To him be honour and power and dominion forever. Amen.

⁶ For among them are those who creep into houses, and lead captive weak-willed women laden with sins, led away by various desires,

¹⁵ To the pure all things are pure: but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and consciences are defiled. ¹⁶ They profess that they know God; but by their works they deny him; being detestable, and disobedient, and unfit for any good work.

¹¹ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, ¹² Teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires, and live sensibly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

¹⁵ See to it that no man fails to obtain the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up should trouble you, and thereby defile many; ¹⁶ That there be no sexually immoral, or godless person, like Esau, who for one meal sold his birthright.

⁸ And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence; they stumble at the word, being disobedient: as they were appointed to do.

¹⁶ Live as free men, not using your liberty as a cloak for evil, but live as the servants of God.

¹⁸ And if it is with difficulty that the righteous are saved, what shall become of the ungodly and the sinner?

¹ But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who secretly shall bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. ² And many shall follow their licentious ways; and because of them the way of truth shall be maligned. ³ And in greed they shall exploit you with false words: the judgment against them from of old does not linger, and their condemnation does not slumber.

⁵ And did not spare the old world, but saved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly; ⁶ If he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, overthrowing them and turning them into ashes, and made them an example to those who would be ungodly;

¹⁰ And particularly those who walk after the flesh in its unclean lusts, and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of the glorious ones.

¹⁸ For they speak great swelling words of vanity, and allure through the lusts of the flesh, through sensuality, those who are just escaping from the ones who live in error. ¹⁹ While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the slaves of depravity: for by that which a man is overcome, to that he is enslaved. ²⁰ For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled by them, and overcome, they are worse off in the end than at the beginning. ²¹ For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. ²² But it has happened to them according to the true proverb, The dog returns to its own vomit; and the sow that is washed returns to wallowing in the mire.

⁷ But by the same word, the heavens and the earth which are now, are reserved for fire on the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.

²² Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is the antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son.

¹⁵ To execute judgment upon all, and to convict all who are ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh words which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

⁴ Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name? for you alone are holy: all nations shall come and worship before you; for your righteous acts have been revealed.

¹⁵ Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as a reminder, because of the grace given to me by God,

¹ For I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; ² And were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; ³ And all ate the same spiritual food; ⁴ And all drank the same spiritual drink: for they drank from that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. ⁵ But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. ⁶ Now these things are examples for us, so we should not lust after evil things, as they lusted. ⁷ Nor be idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. ⁸ Let us not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day. ⁹ Nor let us tempt the Lord, as some of them did, and were destroyed by serpents. ¹⁰ Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer. ¹¹ Now all these things happened to them as examples: and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the end of the ages has come. ¹² Therefore, let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

¹⁶ For who were those who rebelled when they had heard? was it not all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses?

²⁹ And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with you, Jesus, you Son of God? have you come here to torment us before the time?

⁴¹ Then he shall say to those on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

⁴⁴ You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature: for he is a liar, and the father of lies.

¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against the powers of darkness of this world, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

²⁷ But a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

⁴ For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into pits of gloom, to be reserved for judgment;

⁹ Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust under punishment until the day of judgment:

¹⁰ And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet were, and they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.

²⁴ But I say to you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment, than for you.

⁴³ And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off: it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched: ⁴⁴ [Where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.] ⁴⁵ And if your foot causes you to sin, cut it off: it is better for you to enter life lame, than having two feet to be cast into hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched: ⁴⁶ [Where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.] ⁴⁷ And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out: it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be cast into hell: ⁴⁸ Where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched. ⁴⁹ For everyone shall be salted with fire.

²⁹ But on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

²⁶ For this cause God gave them up to vile affections: for even their women exchanged natural relations for that which is against nature: ²⁷ And likewise the men, leaving their natural relations with woman, burned in their lust toward one another; men with men doing that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexual offenders,

⁶ If he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, overthrowing them and turning them into ashes, and made them an example to those who would be ungodly;

¹⁴ But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We do not want this man to reign over us.

²⁷ But he who was doing his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?

³⁹ Our fathers would not obey him, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again to Egypt,

⁵ Then Paul said, I did not know, brethren, that he was the high priest: for it is written, You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.

¹⁷ If any man defiles God's temple, God shall destroy him; for the temple of God is holy, and you are that temple.

⁸ Therefore, he who rejects this, does not reject man, but God, who has also given you his Holy Spirit.

¹⁰ For adulterers, for those who defile themselves with men, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and for whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine;

¹⁷ Obey those who lead you, and submit to them: for they watch over your souls as those who must give account. Let it be a joyful task for them, not a sad one: for that would be unprofitable for you.

¹⁷ Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

¹⁰ And particularly those who walk after the flesh in its unclean lusts, and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of the glorious ones. ¹¹ Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, do not bring slanderous accusation against them before the Lord. ¹² But these, like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of things they do not understand; and shall utterly perish with them in the same destruction;

⁹ Yet Michael the archangel, when he contended with the devil and argued over the body of Moses, did not dare to bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke you. ¹⁰ But these men speak evil of things which they do not understand: but what they know by instinct, like brute beasts, by these things they corrupt themselves.

²⁹ And those who passed by kept abusing him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, you who would destroy the temple, and build it in three days,

³⁹ And one of the criminals who was hung there railed at him, saying, If you are the Christ, save yourself and us. ⁴⁰ But the other rebuked him, saying, Do you not fear God, since you are under the same condemnation?

¹⁶ For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

⁹ Do not return evil for evil, or insult for insult: but instead with blessing; knowing that you were called to this, that you should inherit a blessing.

¹¹ Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, do not bring slanderous accusation against them before the Lord.

⁷ And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought,

²¹ Because, though they knew God, they did not glorify him as God, nor were they thankful; but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish hearts were darkened. ²² Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

¹² But these, like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of things they do not understand; and shall utterly perish with them in the same destruction;

²¹ Woe to you, Chorazin! woe to you, Bethsaida! for if the miracles which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

¹³ But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for you do not go in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. ¹⁴ [Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayers: therefore you shall receive the greater condemnation.] ¹⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you cross sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves. ¹⁶ Woe to you, blind guides, who say, Whoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!

⁴² But woe to you, Pharisees! for you tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, but neglect justice and the love of God: these you ought to have done, and not left the others undone. ⁴³ Woe to you, Pharisees! for you love the best seats in the synagogues, and greetings in the marketplaces. ⁴⁴ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like unmarked graves, which men walk over unaware. ⁴⁵ Then one of the lawyers answered him, Teacher, by saying this you insult us also. ⁴⁶ And he said, Woe to you also, lawyers! for you load men with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not touch the burdens with one of your fingers. ⁴⁷ Woe to you! for you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

⁴ By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, and by it he obtained the testimony that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by faith, though he is dead, yet he speaks.

¹⁵ Who have forsaken the right way, and have gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;

¹² Do not be like Cain, who was of the wicked one, and killed his brother. And why did he kill him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's were righteous.

¹⁴ But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, that they might eat things sacrificed to idols, and commit sexual immorality.

⁶ And when the sun came up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

¹³ But he answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly Father has not planted shall be rooted up.

¹⁹ And when he saw a fig tree by the way, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves, and he said to it, Let no fruit grow on you ever again. And at once the fig tree withered away. ²⁰ And when the disciples saw it, they marvelled, saying, How did the fig tree so quickly wither away?

⁶ But when the sun came up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

²⁰ And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. ²¹ And Peter remembered and said to him, Rabbi, behold, the fig tree which you cursed has withered away.

⁶ And some fell upon the rock; and as soon as it had sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.

¹⁹ And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years; take your ease, eat, drink, and be merry. ²⁰ But God said to him, You fool, this night your soul shall be required of you: then who shall own those things, which you have prepared?

⁴⁵ But if that servant says in his heart, My lord delays his coming; and begins to beat the menservants and maidservants, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;

¹⁹ There was a certain rich man, who was clothed in purple and fine linen, and feasted sumptuously every day:

³⁴ And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be weighed down with dissipation, and drunkenness, and the cares of this life, so that day comes upon you unexpectedly like a snare.

⁴ Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine; neither can you, unless you abide in me. ⁵ I am the vine, you are the branches: He who abides in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. ⁶ If a man does not abide in me, he is thrown away as a branch, and withers; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

²⁰ When you come together in one place, it is not to eat the Lord's supper. ²¹ For in eating every one goes ahead with his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. ²² What? do you not have houses in which to eat and to drink? or do you despise the church of God, and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I will not.

¹⁹ Whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.

⁶ Therefore let us not sleep, as others do; but let us watch and be sober. ⁷ For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who get drunk, get drunk in the night.

⁶ But she who lives in self-indulgence is dead while she lives.

⁴ For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and have been made partakers of the Holy Spirit, ⁵ And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, ⁶ If they shall fall away, to be brought back again to repentance; for they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and hold him up to public disgrace. ⁷ For the earth which drinks in the rain that comes often upon it, and brings forth vegetation useful for those by whom it is farmed, receives a blessing from God: ⁸ But that which bears thorns and thistles is worthless, and is near to being cursed; its end is to be burned.

⁵ You have lived in luxury on the earth, and in self-indulgence; you have fattened your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.

¹³ And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness. They count it pleasure to carouse in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, revelling in their own deceptions while they feast with you; ¹⁴ Having eyes full of adultery, who cannot cease from sin; enticing unstable souls: they have a heart trained in greed; cursed children:

¹⁷ These are wells without water, mists driven before a tempest; for whom the blackest darkness is reserved. ¹⁸ For they speak great swelling words of vanity, and allure through the lusts of the flesh, through sensuality, those who are just escaping from the ones who live in error. ¹⁹ While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the slaves of depravity: for by that which a man is overcome, to that he is enslaved. ²⁰ For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled by them, and overcome, they are worse off in the end than at the beginning.

¹³ But evil men and impostors shall grow worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

¹⁷ These are wells without water, mists driven before a tempest; for whom the blackest darkness is reserved.

¹⁰ And the third angel sounded, and a great star fell from heaven, burning as if it were a torch, and it fell upon a third of the rivers, and upon the springs of waters; ¹¹ And the name of the star is Wormwood: and a third of the waters became wormwood; and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter.

¹⁰ He shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out at full strength into the cup of his anger; and he shall be tormented with fire and sulphur in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: ¹¹ And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever: and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, or who receive the mark of his name.

⁸ But the cowardly, and unbelieving, and the vile, and murderers, and the sexually immoral, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and sulphur: which is the second death.

²⁷ For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.

³⁰ And then the sign of the Son of man shall appear in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. ³¹ And he shall send out his angels with a great call of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

³¹ When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

¹³ So that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before God our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

⁷ And to give rest to you who are afflicted, along with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, ⁸ Taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵ By faith Enoch was caught up so that he should not see death; and he was not found, because God had taken him: now before he was taken he received this testimony, that he pleased God. ⁶ But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he who comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

⁷ Behold, he comes with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, even those who pierced him: and all families of the earth shall mourn because of him. Even so, Amen.

³¹ Therefore I say to you, Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven men. ³² And whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, nor in the world to come. ³³ Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by its fruit. ³⁴ You brood of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. ³⁵ A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things: and an evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth evil things. ³⁶ But I say to you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account of on the day of judgment. ³⁷ For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.

²² For the Father judges no man, but has committed all judgment to the Son: ²³ That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He who does not honour the Son does not honour the Father who has sent him.

²⁷ And has given him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of man.

³¹ Because he has appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness, by a man whom he has ordained; and he has given assurance of this to all men by raising him from the dead.

⁵ But because of your hard and unrepentant heart you are storing up for yourself wrath on the day of wrath when the righteous judgment of God shall be revealed;

¹⁶ On that day God shall judge the secrets of men through Jesus Christ, as my gospel proclaims.

¹⁹ Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be held accountable to God. ²⁰ Therefore, by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified in his sight: for through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

¹⁰ Why do you judge your brother? or why do you despise your brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of God.

⁵ Therefore, judge nothing before the time; before the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the things hidden in darkness, and will disclose the motives of the heart: and then every man shall have his praise from God.

¹³ Those who are outside God judges. Put out from among yourselves the wicked person.

⁹ Understanding this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

⁶ If he condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, overthrowing them and turning them into ashes, and made them an example to those who would be ungodly; ⁷ And delivered righteous Lot, who was vexed by the licentious lives of the wicked: ⁸ (For that righteous man dwelt among them, seeing and hearing, and his righteous soul was vexed from day to day by their unlawful deeds;) ⁹ Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust under punishment until the day of judgment:

¹⁶ These are grumblers, complainers, following after their own lusts; and their mouths speak great swelling words, flattering people to gain an advantage.

⁵ And there was given to him a mouth speaking proud words and blasphemies; and authority was given to him to act for forty-two months. ⁶ And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his dwelling, and those who live in heaven.

¹¹ And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon.

¹² Behold, I am coming quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according to what he has done. ¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. ¹⁴ Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. ¹⁵ Outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and the sexually immoral, and murderers, and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

²⁰ He who testifies to these things says, Surely I am coming quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

³⁰ But the scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do you eat and drink with tax gatherers and sinners?

² And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receives sinners, and eats with them.

⁷ And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, He has gone to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.

⁴¹ Then the Jews murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.

⁶¹ But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said to them, Does this offend you?

¹⁰ Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

¹⁶ This I say, Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the desires of the flesh.

²⁴ And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

¹⁴ Do all things without grumbling and disputing:

⁵ Not in the lust of passion, as the Gentiles who do not know God:

⁵ And wrangling among men of corrupt minds, who are destitute of the truth, and suppose that godliness is a means to gain.

³ For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but having itching ears, they shall gather up teachers for themselves to suit their own desires;

¹⁴ But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away and enticed by his own lust. ¹⁵ Then when lust has conceived, it brings forth sin: and sin, when it is fully-grown, brings forth death.

¹ My brethren, do not hold your faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with partiality. ² For if there comes into your assembly a man with a gold ring, in fine apparel, and there also comes in a poor man in shabby clothing, ³ And you pay special attention to him who wears the fine clothing, and say to him, Sit here in a good place; and say to the poor man, Stand there, or sit here beside my footstool: ⁴ Have you not then discriminated among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? ⁵ Listen, my beloved brethren, Has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to those who love him? ⁶ But you have despised the poor. Is it not the rich who oppress you, and drag you into court? ⁷ Is it not they who blaspheme the noble name by which you have been called? ⁸ If you fulfill the royal law, according to the scripture, You shall love your neighbour as yourself, you do well, ⁹ But if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

¹⁴ Live as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the lusts of your former ignorance:

¹¹ Dearly beloved, I urge you as aliens and strangers, abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.

² That he may live the rest of his time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

¹⁸ For they speak great swelling words of vanity, and allure through the lusts of the flesh, through sensuality, those who are just escaping from the ones who live in error.

³ Knowing this first, that in the last days scoffers shall come, scoffing and walking after their own lusts,

¹⁸ They told you there would be mockers in the last time, who would walk after their own ungodly lusts.

³⁵ I have shown you in all things, that by labouring in this manner you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words the Lord Jesus himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

²⁰ Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone;

¹¹ And he gave some as apostles; and some as prophets; and some as evangelists; and some as pastors and teachers;

² That you may recall the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and the commandment of the Lord and Saviour given through your apostles:

⁶ We are of God: he who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

²⁹ For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves shall enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

¹ Now the Spirit expressly says that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; ² Taught by hypocritical liars; who have their consciences seared as with a hot iron;

¹ But know this also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. ² For men shall be lovers of their own selves, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, ³ Without natural affection, implacable, false accusers, intemperate, fierce, despisers of good, ⁴ Treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God; ⁵ Holding to a form of godliness, but denying its power. From such men turn away.

¹ But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who secretly shall bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

⁵ Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. ⁶ That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

⁹ But you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. Now if any man does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to him.

¹⁴ But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he understand them, because they are spiritually discerned.

¹⁹ Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own?

²⁵ Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching.

¹⁵ This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, devilish.

³¹ Then the church had rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and was being built up; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers.

⁹ And he made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

¹⁸ To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance along with those who are sanctified by faith in me.

¹⁵ For you have not received a spirit of bondage leading to fear; but you have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry out, Abba, Father.

²⁶ Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness: for we do not know how to pray as we ought: but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. ²⁷ And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because he intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

² Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good, to edify him.

⁸ Who shall also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²³ All things are lawful for me, but not all things are beneficial: all things are lawful for me, but not all things are constructive.

⁴ He who speaks in an unknown tongue edifies himself; but he who prophesies edifies the church. ⁵ I would like for you all to speak in tongues, but even more that you would prophesy: for greater is he who prophesies than he who speaks with tongues, unless he interprets, so that the church may be edified.

¹⁵ What am I to do? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the mind also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the mind also.

²⁶ What then, brethren? when you come together, every one of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.

⁶ And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

¹² For the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ:

¹⁶ From whom the whole body, fitted and joined together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of every part, causes the body to grow, for the building up of itself in love.

²⁹ Let no corrupt words proceed out of your mouth, but only that which is good for edifying, that it may impart grace to the hearers.

¹⁸ Praying always in the Spirit with all manner of prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert in it with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints;

⁷ Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, and abounding with thanksgiving.

¹¹ Therefore, comfort one another, and build one another up, just as you are doing.

⁴ Nor to give heed to myths and endless genealogies, which promote useless speculation, rather than godly training, which is by faith. ⁵ I am reminded of the sincere faith that is in you, which lived first in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice; and I am persuaded is in you also.

¹ Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to further the faith of God's chosen and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,

²² You see that faith was active with his works, and by works was faith made perfect;

⁴ For everyone who is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, our faith.

³ Beloved, while my whole concern was to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write and exhort you to earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.

¹⁰ He who is to go into captivity shall go into captivity: he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

⁴² Therefore watch: for you do not know on what day your Lord will come. ⁴³ But know this, that if the owner of the house had known at what time the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. ⁴⁴ Therefore you must also be ready: for the Son of man will come at an hour you do not expect. ⁴⁵ Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? ⁴⁶ Blessed is that servant, whom his lord shall find so doing when he comes. ⁴⁷ Truly I say to you, That he shall put him in charge of all his goods. ⁴⁸ But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delays his coming; ⁴⁹ And shall begin to strike his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; ⁵⁰ The lord of that servant shall come on a day when he does not expect him, and at a hour that he is not aware of, ⁵¹ And shall cut him apart, and assign him a place with the hypocrites: where there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

³⁶ And be like men who wait for their lord to return from the wedding feast; that when he comes and knocks, they may open the door for him immediately. ³⁷ Blessed are those servants, whom the lord shall find watching when he comes: truly I say to you, that he shall dress himself to serve, and make them sit down at the table, and will come forth and serve them. ³⁸ And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants. ³⁹ And know this, that if the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into. ⁴⁰ Therefore you be ready also: for the Son of man will come at a hour when you do not expect.

¹⁷ For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

²¹ He who has my commandments, and keeps them, he it is who loves me: and he who loves me shall be loved by my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

⁹ As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you: abide in my love. ¹⁰ If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

⁵ And hope does not disappoint; because the love of God has been poured into our hearts by the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

²¹ So that as sin has reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

²³ For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁵ May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the steadfastness of Christ.

¹⁶ May the Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus; for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chains:

¹⁸ May the Lord grant that he will find mercy from the Lord on that day. You know very well in how many ways he ministered to me at Ephesus.

⁸ Henceforth, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me on that day: and not only to me, but also to all those who have longed for his appearing.

¹³ Looking for the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ; ¹⁴ Who gave himself up for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people of his own, zealous for good works.

²⁸ So Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many; shall appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring full salvation to those who eagerly await him.

¹² Looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens shall be dissolved in fire, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat.

¹⁶ By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. ¹⁷ But whoever has this world's goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him?

¹⁶ And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love; and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

¹⁰ He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself: he who does not believe God has made him a liar; because he does not believe the testimony that God has given regarding his Son. ¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

¹⁸ We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who was begotten of God keeps him, and the wicked one does not touch him.

²¹ Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

²⁴ Now to him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless in the presence of his glory with exceedingly great joy,

²⁰ I desire to be present with you now, and to change my tone; for I am perplexed about you.

¹ Brethren, if a man is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual, restore him in the spirit of gentleness; considering yourselves, lest you also be tempted.

¹⁹ Brethren, if any of you strays from the truth, and someone brings him back; ²⁰ Let him know, that he who turns a sinner from the error of his ways shall save a soul from death, and shall cover a multitude of sins.

¹⁶ If any man sees his brother commit a sin which does not lead to death, he shall ask, and God shall grant him life, for those whose sin is not to death. There is a sin to death: I do not say that he should pray for that. ¹⁷ All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin that does not lead to death. ¹⁸ We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who was begotten of God keeps him, and the wicked one does not touch him.

⁴ For certain men have crept in secretly, who were long ago ordained for this condemnation; ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into licentiousness, and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. ⁵ Now I wish to remind you, though you already know all this, that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. ⁶ And the angels which did not keep their own domain, but left their proper abode, he has kept in eternal chains under darkness for the great day of judgment. ⁷ Just as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them, which gave themselves over in a similar manner to sexual immorality, and to going after strange flesh, are set forth as an example of suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. ⁸ Likewise, these dreamers defile the flesh, despise authority, and speak evil of the glorious ones. ⁹ Yet Michael the archangel, when he contended with the devil and argued over the body of Moses, did not dare to bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke you. ¹⁰ But these men speak evil of things which they do not understand: but what they know by instinct, like brute beasts, by these things they corrupt themselves. ¹¹ Woe to them! for they have gone the way of Cain, and for profit have plunged into the error of Balaam, and have perished in the rebellion of Korah. ¹² These men are blemishes at your feasts of love, when they eat with you without fear: clouds without water, carried about by the winds; autumn trees without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; ¹³ Raging waves of the sea, flinging up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the blackest darkness is reserved forever.

¹⁴ That I might provoke to envy my own people, and might save some of them.

¹⁵ If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; but only as through fire.

³ For I, though absent in body, am present in spirit, and have already judged him who has done this deed, just as though I were present. ⁴ In the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are gathered together, with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus, ⁵ Deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of his flesh, that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord Jesus.

⁹ I wrote to you in a letter not to keep company with the sexually immoral: ¹⁰ Not at all meaning the immoral of this world, or the covetous, or swindlers, or idolaters; for then you would have to go out of the world. ¹¹ But now I write to you not to keep company with any man who is called a brother if he is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or an swindler; with such a one do not even eat.

³³ Do not be deceived: bad company corrupts good morals.

¹⁰ For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation and leaves no regret: but the sorrow of the world produces death. ¹¹ For behold what earnestness this godly sorrow has produced in you, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what readiness to punish wrongdoing! In all things you have shown yourselves to be innocent in this matter. ¹² Therefore, though I wrote to you, I did not do it because of the one who committed the wrong, nor because of the one who suffered the wrong, but that your zeal for us might be revealed to you in the sight of God.

¹⁴ And if any man will not obey our instruction in this letter, note that man, and do not associate with him, that he may be ashamed.

¹⁶ Take heed to yourself, and to your teaching; continue in them: for in doing this you shall save both yourself, and those who hear you.

⁴ Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

¹⁸ I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white clothing, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness may not appear; and salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see.

¹² Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

²⁸ And Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, At the renewal of all things, when the Son of man shall sit upon the throne of his glory, you who have followed me shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

²⁶ For whoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his glory, and the glory of his Father, and of the holy angels.

³¹ What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

⁴ Who are you to judge another man's servant? to his own master he stands or falls. And he shall be upheld: for the Lord is able to make him stand.

²⁵ Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret for long ages past, ²⁶ But now has been made manifest, and through the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the eternal God, has been made known to all nations to bring about the obedience of faith: ²⁷ To the only wise God, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.

¹⁴ Knowing that he who raised up the Lord Jesus shall also raise us up with Jesus, and shall present us with you in his presence.

¹⁷ For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, prepares for us an incomparable and eternal weight of glory;

² For I am jealous of you with a godly jealousy: for I have betrothed you to one husband, that I might present you to Christ as a pure virgin.

²⁰ Now to him who is able to do immeasurably beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us,

²⁷ That he might present her to himself a glorious church, without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that she should be holy and without blemish.

²² He has now reconciled in his body of flesh through death, to present you holy and blameless and irreproachable in his sight:

²⁸ Him we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

⁴ When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then you shall also appear with him in glory.

¹⁶ For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: ¹⁷ Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

²⁰ Now may the God of peace, who brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the eternal covenant, ²¹ Equip you with every good thing to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹³ But rejoice, insofar as you are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, you may be triumphantly joyful.

²¹ Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.

⁵ And no lie was found in their mouths: for they are without fault.

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

²² You do not know what you worship: we know what we worship: for salvation is from the Jews.

⁴⁴ How can you believe, when you receive honour from one another, and do not seek the honour that comes from him who alone is God?

³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

³⁶ For from him, and through him, and to him, are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

²⁷ To the only wise God, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.

⁸ Which he has lavished upon us in all wisdom and prudence;

¹⁰ That now, to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places, the manifold wisdom of God might be known through the church,

²¹ To him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁷ Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

³ For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

³ And at the proper time he revealed his word through the preaching which was entrusted to me according to the commandment of God our Saviour; ⁴ To Titus, my own child in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Saviour.

¹⁰ Not to pilfer, but showing entire and true fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things.

¹³ Looking for the blessed hope, the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;

⁴ But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared,

⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

¹¹ If any man speak, let it be as one who speaks the oracles of God; if any man serves, let him do it as by the strength which God supplies: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. ¹¹ To him be dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁸ But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

⁶ And has made us a kingdom, and priests to his God and Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

⁹ And when those living creatures give glory and honour and thanks to him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, ¹⁰ The twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, ¹¹ You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for you have created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.

¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be to him who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever. ¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped .
