¹ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to him, to show to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent his angel to make it known to his servant John: ² Who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. ³ Blessed is he who reads, and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and heed those things which are written in it: for the time is at hand. ⁴ John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be to you, and peace, from him who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne; ⁵ And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, and the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and freed us from our sins by his own blood, ⁶ And has made us a kingdom, and priests to his God and Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. ⁷ Behold, he comes with the clouds; and every eye shall see him, even those who pierced him: and all families of the earth shall mourn because of him. Even so, Amen. ⁸ I am Alpha and Omega, says the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty. ⁹ I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation, and kingdom, and endurance which are ours in Jesus, was on the island that is called Patmos, because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. ¹⁰ I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, ¹¹ Saying, What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea. ¹² And I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me. And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands; ¹³ And in the midst of the seven lampstands, one like a Son of man, clothed with a garment down to his feet, and around his breast a golden girdle. ¹⁴ His head and his hair were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were like a flame of fire; ¹⁵ And his feet like burnished bronze, as if they glowed in a furnace; and his voice like the sound of many waters. ¹⁶ And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword: and his face was like the sun shining at full strength. ¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as if dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying to me, Do not fear; I am the first and the last, ¹⁸ The one who lives; I was dead, and, behold, I am alive forevermore, and possess the keys of death and of Hades. ¹⁹ Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; ²⁰ The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

³² And what he has seen and heard, to that he testifies; yet no man receives his testimony.

²⁶ I have many things to say and to judge about you: but he who sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard from him.

⁴⁹ For I have not spoken of my own accord; but the Father who sent me, he commanded what I should say, and what I should speak.

¹⁵ No longer do I call you servants; for the servant does not know what his lord is doing: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

⁸ For I have given to them the words which you gave me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came from you, and they have believed that you did send me.

²⁵ Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret for long ages past,

¹² For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came by revelation from Jesus Christ.

³ That by revelation he made known to me the mystery; as I wrote before briefly.

³ Blessed is he who reads, and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and heed those things which are written in it: for the time is at hand. ⁴ John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be to you, and peace, from him who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne;

⁹ I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation, and kingdom, and endurance which are ours in Jesus, was on the island that is called Patmos, because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

¹⁹ Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

¹ After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.

² And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

⁶ And he said to me, These words are faithful and true: and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass.

¹⁶ I, Jesus, have sent my angel to you to testify of these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.

³² And John bore witness, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it remained upon him.

¹¹ Truly, truly, I say to you, We speak what we know, and testify of what we have seen; but you do not receive our testimony.

¹⁷ Now the people who were with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, kept bearing witness.

³⁵ And he who saw it has borne witness, and his witness is true: and he knows what he says is true, that you also might believe.

²⁴ This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his testimony is true.

²⁰ But we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

¹⁵ For you shall be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard.

¹⁶ But rise, and stand on your feet: for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of these things which you have seen, and of those things in which I will appear to you.

⁶ So the testimony about Christ has been confirmed in you:

¹ And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with lofty speech or wisdom as I declared to you the testimony of God.

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life;

¹⁴ And we have seen and testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

⁷ And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. ⁸ For there are three who bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree. ⁹ If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for it is the testimony of God, which he has given regarding his Son. ¹⁰ He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself: he who does not believe God has made him a liar; because he does not believe the testimony that God has given regarding his Son. ¹¹ And this is the testimony, that God has given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

¹² Demetrius is well spoken of by everyone, and by the truth itself: and we also bear witness; and you know that our testimony is true.

⁹ And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they maintained:

¹¹ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they did not love their lives to death.

¹⁷ And the dragon was furious with the woman, and went to make war against the rest of her descendants, those who keep the commandments of God, and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

²⁸ But he said, Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it.

¹¹ And besides that, you know the hour, that it is now high time to awaken from sleep: for now our salvation is nearer than when we believed.

⁸ You also be patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws near. ⁹ Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door.

⁷ But the end of all things is at hand: therefore be of sound mind and sober judgement for prayer.

⁸ But, beloved, do not be ignorant of this one thing, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day.

⁶ And he said to me, These words are faithful and true: and the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass. ⁷ Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.

¹⁰ And he said to me, Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

¹² Behold, I am coming quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according to what he has done.

²⁰ He who testifies to these things says, Surely I am coming quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

¹⁰ And this continued for two years; so that all those who lived in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

⁷ To all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

³ Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴ Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. ⁵ And there are various kinds of service, but the same Lord. ⁶ And there are various kinds of working, but it is the same God who works all of them in all men. ⁷ But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each man for the common good. ⁸ For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; ⁹ To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by that one Spirit; ¹⁰ To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another various kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: ¹¹ But all these things are by one and the same Spirit, who distributes to every man as he wills. ¹² For just as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body: so it is with Christ. ¹³ For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slave or free; and have all been made to drink of one Spirit.

² Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ And, You, Lord, did lay the foundation of the earth in the beginning; and the heavens are the works of your hands: ¹¹ They shall perish; but you remain; and they shall all grow old as does a garment; ¹² And as a mantle you shall fold them up, and they shall be changed: but you are the same, and your years shall never end. ¹³ But to which of the angels did he at any time say, Sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet?

⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.

¹⁷ Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.

¹ Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the exiles scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, ² Chosen according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, and sanctified by the Spirit for obedience to Jesus Christ and sprinkling by his blood: Grace and peace be multiplied to you.

⁸ I am Alpha and Omega, says the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

¹¹ Saying, What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

²⁰ The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, is this: The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

⁸ And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These are the words of him who is the first and the last, who was dead, and came to life;

¹² And to the angel of the church in Pergamum write; These are the words of him who has the sharp sword with two edges;

¹⁸ And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These are the words of the Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and whose feet are like burnished bonze;

¹ And to the angel of the church in Sardis write; These are the words of him who has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know your works, that you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.

⁷ And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These are the words of he who is holy, he who is true, he who has the key of David, he who opens, and no man shuts; and shuts, and no man opens;

¹⁴ And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

⁵ And out of the throne came flashes of lightning and peals of thunder: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

⁸ And the four living creatures each had six wings, covered with eyes around and within: and day and night they never stop saying, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.

⁶ And then I beheld between the throne and the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing as if it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All power has been given to me in heaven and on earth.

¹⁴ Jesus answered and said to them, Though I bear testimony of myself, yet my testimony is true: for I know where I came from, and where I go; but you do not know where I come from, or where I go. ¹⁵ You judge after the flesh; I judge no man. ¹⁶ And yet if I do judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I am with he who sent me.

¹ Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

⁸ Peter said to him, You shall never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I do not wash you, you have no part with me. ⁹ Simon Peter said to him, Lord, not only my feet, but also my hands and my head. ¹⁰ Jesus said to him, He who has bathed needs only to wash his feet, but he is clean all over: and you are clean, but not all of you.

³⁴ A new commandment I give to you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, so you also love one another.

⁹ As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you: abide in my love.

³⁷ So Pilate said to him, You are a king then? Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Every one who is of the truth hears my voice.

²⁸ Take heed for yourselves, and for all the flock, over which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood.

²³ That Christ would suffer, and that he would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the people, and to the Gentiles.

³⁷ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

¹¹ And such were some of you: but you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

²⁰ But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first-fruits of those who sleep. ²¹ For since by man came death, by man also came the resurrection of the dead. ²² For just as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. ²³ But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits; afterward those who are Christ's at his coming.

²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

²⁰ Which he exerted in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ Far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come. ²² And he has put all things under his feet, and has appointed him to be the head over all things for the church,

⁴ But God, who is rich in mercy, because of his great love with which he loved us,

² And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice, a sweet smelling aroma to God.

²⁵ Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church, and gave himself up for her; ²⁶ That he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water through the word, ²⁷ That he might present her to himself a glorious church, without spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that she should be holy and without blemish.

¹⁸ He is also the head of the body, the church: he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have preeminence.

¹³ I charge you in the sight of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession;

¹⁵ Which he will bring about in his own time, he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;

¹⁴ How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, cleanse your consciences from dead works to serve the living God?

¹⁹ But with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

⁷ But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

⁷ And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. ⁸ For there are three who bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree. ⁹ If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for it is the testimony of God, which he has given regarding his Son. ¹⁰ He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself: he who does not believe God has made him a liar; because he does not believe the testimony that God has given regarding his Son.

¹⁴ And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign forever and ever.

¹⁴ They shall make war against the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and those who are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

¹⁶ And he has on his robe and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

²³ That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He who does not honour the Son does not honour the Father who has sent him.

³⁶ For from him, and through him, and to him, are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

⁶ That you may with one heart and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹¹ And every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹⁶ Who alone has immortality, dwelling in light which no man can approach; whom no man has seen, nor can see. To him be honour and power and dominion forever. Amen.

²¹ Equip you with every good thing to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

⁵ You also, as living stones, are being built up into a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ⁶ For this is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Zion a cornerstone, chosen and precious: and he who believes in him shall not be put to shame. ⁷ Therefore, to you who believe, he is precious: but to those who disbelieve, the stone which the builders rejected has become the very cornerstone, ⁸ And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence; they stumble at the word, being disobedient: as they were appointed to do. ⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God; that you should declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.

¹¹ If any man speak, let it be as one who speaks the oracles of God; if any man serves, let him do it as by the strength which God supplies: that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

¹¹ To him be dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁸ But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

²⁵ To the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory and majesty, dominion and authority, before all time, and now, and forevermore. Amen.

¹¹ You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for you have created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.

¹⁰ And have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God: and they shall reign upon the earth.

¹² Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. ¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be to him who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever. ¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped .

⁶ Blessed and holy is he who takes part in the first resurrection: over these the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him for a thousand years.

³⁰ And then the sign of the Son of man shall appear in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

⁶⁴ Jesus said to him, You have said so: nevertheless I say to you, Hereafter you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

²⁶ And then they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

⁶² And Jesus said, I am: and you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

²⁷ And then they shall see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

²⁸ But Jesus, turning to them, said, Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves, and for your children. ²⁹ For, behold, the days are coming when they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the breasts which never nursed. ³⁰ Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall upon us; and to the hills, Cover us.

³⁴ But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately there came out blood and water.

³⁷ And again another scripture says, They shall look on him whom they have pierced.

⁹ And when he had spoken these things, while they watched, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. ¹⁰ And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; ¹¹ Who said, You men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, shall come in the same way that you have seen him go into heaven.

¹⁰ And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, that is, Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.

¹⁷ Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

⁶ If they shall fall away, to be brought back again to repentance; for they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and hold him up to public disgrace.

²⁹ How much more severe punishment do you suppose he shall deserve, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has affronted the Spirit of grace?

² Beloved, now we are the sons of God; and what we shall be has not yet been disclosed: but we know that when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

¹⁴ And Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord comes with myriads of his holy ones,

¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every slave, and every free man, hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains; ¹⁶ And they called to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: ¹⁷ For the great day of his wrath has come; and who shall be able to stand?

¹⁴ And I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud sat one like a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. ¹⁵ And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, Thrust in your sickle, and reap: for the time has come to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. ¹⁶ And he who sat upon the cloud swung his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

¹⁵ The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, shall stand far off in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning, ¹⁶ And saying, Alas, alas, the great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! ¹⁷ For in one hour such great wealth has come to ruin. And every shipmaster, and all voyagers in ships, and sailors, and as many as make their living by the sea, stood far off, ¹⁸ And cried out when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city was ever like this great city! ¹⁹ And they cast dust upon their heads, and cried, weeping and mourning, saying, Alas, alas, the great city, by which all who had ships on the sea were made rich by her wealth! for in one hour she has been laid waste. ²⁰ Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets; for God has judged her for what she did to you.

¹ And after these things I heard the roar of a great multitude in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and power belong to our God: ² For true and righteous are his judgments: for he has judged the great harlot, who corrupted the earth with her adulteries, and has avenged on her the blood of his servants. ³ And again they said, Alleluia. Her smoke rises up forever and ever.

⁴ And they shall see his face; and his name shall be upon their foreheads.

¹⁸ And will be a Father to you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.

⁴ John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be to you, and peace, from him who is, and who was, and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne;

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as if dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying to me, Do not fear; I am the first and the last,

¹⁷ Saying, We give you thanks, O Lord God Almighty, who are, and were; because you have taken your great power, and have begun to reign.

¹⁴ For they are the spirits of devils, working miraculous signs, who go forth to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for battle on the great day of God Almighty.

¹⁵ And out of his mouth comes a sharp sword, with which he may strike the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of Almighty God.

⁶ And he said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him who is thirsty, without cost, from the spring of the water of life.

²² And I saw no temple in it: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.

³³ These things I have spoken to you, that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

²² Strengthening the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying that through much tribulation we must enter the kingdom of God.

⁷ To those who by patience in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: ⁸ But to those who are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath.

³ And not only this, but we also rejoice in tribulations: knowing that tribulation works perseverance; ⁴ And perseverance, character; and character, hope:

¹⁷ And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him that we may also be glorified with him.

²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, then we wait for it with patience.

⁹ For I think that God has exhibited us apostles last of all, as if we were condemned to death: for we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels and to men. ¹⁰ We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ; we are weak, but you are strong; you are honoured, but we are despised. ¹¹ Even to this present hour we both hunger and thirst, and are ill-clothed, and are buffeted, and are homeless; ¹² And we labour, working with our own hands: when reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure it: ¹³ When slandered, we answer kindly; we have been made the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things, even to this day.

⁷ It is right for me to think this way of you all, because I have you in my heart; since both in my imprisonment, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, you are all partakers with me of grace.

¹⁴ Nevertheless, you have done well to share in my affliction.

⁴ So that we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all the persecutions and tribulations which you endure: ⁵ Which is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you suffer.

⁵ May the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the steadfastness of Christ.

⁸ Therefore, do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but share in the afflictions of the gospel, by the power of God;

³ Therefore endure hardship, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. ⁴ No soldier on active service entangles himself with the affairs of civilian life; that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier. ⁵ And if anyone competes as an athlete, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. ⁶ The farmer who labours must be first to partake of the fruits. ⁷ Consider what I say; and the Lord will give you understanding in all things. ⁸ Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David, according to my gospel, ⁹ For which I suffer hardship, even wearing chains like a criminal; but the word of God is not in chains. ¹⁰ Therefore, I endure all things for the sake of the chosen, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus, with its eternal glory. ¹¹ This is a faithful saying: If we died with him, we shall also live with him: ¹² If we endure, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he will deny us:

³⁶ For you have need of endurance, that, after you have done the will of God, you might receive the promise.

⁷ Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and is patient for it, until it receives the early and the late rains. ⁸ You also be patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws near.

² Who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw.

⁹ I know your tribulation and your poverty, (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say they are Jews, and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. ¹⁰ Do not fear any of those things which you shall suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tested; and you shall have tribulation ten days: be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.

¹⁰ Because you have kept my word to patiently endure, I will keep you from the hour of trial, which shall come upon all the world, to test those who live upon the earth.

⁷ And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

¹⁰ He who is to go into captivity shall go into captivity: he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.

¹² Here is the endurance of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren, who hold to the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

⁴³ He said to them, How then does David in the spirit call him Lord, saying,

¹⁹ Then at evening of the same day, the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and said to them, Peace be with you.

²⁶ After eight days his disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them: then Jesus came, though the doors were shut, and stood in their midst, and said, Peace be with you.

¹⁰ And he became very hungry, and wanted to eat: but while they were making ready, he fell into a trance, ¹¹ And saw heaven opened, and something descending, like a great sheet, let down by four corners to the earth: ¹² In it were all manner of four-footed beasts of the earth, and creeping things, and birds of the air. ¹³ And a voice came to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat. ¹⁴ But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten anything that is common or unclean. ¹⁵ And the voice spoke to him a second time, What God has cleansed, do not call unholy. ¹⁶ This was done three times: and the sheet was immediately taken up again into heaven. ¹⁷ Now while Peter was perplexed about the meaning of the vision which he had seen, behold, the men who were sent by Cornelius, having made enquiry for Simon's house, stood before the gate, ¹⁸ And called out, asking whether Simon, known as Peter, was lodging there. ¹⁹ While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, Behold, three men seek you. ²⁰ Arise therefore, and go downstairs, and accompany them without doubting: for I have sent them. ²¹ Then Peter went down to the men who had been sent to him by Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am the one you seek: what is the cause for which you have come? ²² And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one who fears God, and who is well spoken of among all the nation of the Jews, was directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house, and to hear a message from you. ²³ Then he called them in, and gave them lodging. And on the next day Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him. ²⁴ And the day after they entered Caesarea. Cornelius was waiting for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends. ²⁵ And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. ²⁶ But Peter raised him up, saying, Stand up; I am also a man. ²⁷ And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many who had come together. ²⁸ And he said to them, You know that it is an unlawful thing for a man who is a Jew to keep company, or visit one from another nation; but God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean. ²⁹ Therefore, I came to you without objection, as soon as I was sent for: therefore I ask for what intent you have sent for me? ³⁰ And Cornelius said, Four days ago about this hour, I was keeping the ninth hour of prayer in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, ³¹ And said, Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your alms are remembered by God. ³² Therefore send to Joppa, and ask for Simon, who is called Peter; he is lodging in the house of one Simon, a tanner, by the sea. ³³ Therefore I immediately sent to you; and you have been kind enough to come. Now then, we are all present here before God, to hear all things that you have been commanded by the Lord.

⁷ And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached to them, and because he intended to depart the next day; he continued his speech until midnight.

² Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay aside and save something, as he has prospered, that there need be no collections when I come.

² I knew a man in Christ who fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) was caught up to the third heaven. ³ And I know that this man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) ⁴ Was caught up into paradise, and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

¹ After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this. ² And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

³ And he cried out with a loud voice, as when a lion roars: and when he had cried out, the voices of seven thunders spoke. ⁴ And when the seven thunders had spoken, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders spoke, and do not write them. ⁵ And the angel, whom I saw standing upon the sea and upon the earth, lifted up his hand to heaven, ⁶ And swore by him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that are in it, and the earth, and the things that are in it, and the sea, and the things that are in it, that there should be no more delay: ⁷ But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, the mystery of God will be fulfilled, as he has declared to his servants the prophets. ⁸ And the voice which I heard from heaven spoke to me again, and said, Go and take the little scroll which is open in the hand of the angel who stands upon the sea and upon the earth.

³ So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sitting upon a scarlet coloured beast, which was full of names of blasphemy, and had seven heads and ten horns.

¹⁰ And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

¹⁹ And he came to Ephesus, and left them there: but he entered into the synagogue, and reasoned with the Jews. ²⁰ When they asked him to remain longer with them, he did not consent; ²¹ But bade them farewell, saying, I will return to you, if God wills. And he sailed from Ephesus.

²⁴ Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.

¹ And it came to pass, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, ² He said to them, Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? And they said to him, We have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit. ³ And he said to them, Into what then were you baptized? And they said, Into John's baptism. ⁴ Then Paul said, John baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people, that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Jesus. ⁵ When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. ⁶ And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came upon them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied. ⁷ And there were about twelve of them in all. ⁸ And he went into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for the space of three months, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God. ⁹ But when some were hardened, and did not believe, but spoke evil of the way before the multitude, he departed from them, took away the disciples, and held discussions daily in the school of Tyrannus. ¹⁰ And this continued for two years; so that all those who lived in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks. ¹¹ And God performed extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul: ¹² So that handkerchiefs or aprons he had touched were brought to the sick, and diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them. ¹³ Then certain of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to pronounce the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, We command you by Jesus whom Paul preaches. ¹⁴ There were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish high priest, who were doing this. ¹⁵ And the evil spirit answered, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you? ¹⁶ And the man who had the evil spirit leaped on them, subdued them and overcame them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. ¹⁷ And this became known to all the Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. ¹⁸ And many who believed came, and confessed, and disclosed their deeds. ¹⁹ Many of those who used magic arts brought their books together, and burned them before all: and they counted the price of them, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver. ²⁰ So the word of God grew and prevailed mightily. ²¹ After these things had ended, Paul resolved in the spirit to pass through Macedonia and Achaia and go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome. ²² So he sent to Macedonia two of those who had ministered to him, Timothy and Erastus; but he stayed in Asia for a while. ²³ And about that time there arose no small stir about the way. ²⁴ For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines for Diana, brought no small gain to the craftsmen; ²⁵ These he called together, along with workmen of similar occupations, and said, Men, you know that by this craft we have our wealth. ²⁶ Moreover you see and hear, that not only in Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that gods made with hands are not gods at all: ²⁷ So not only is our craft in danger of being discredited; but also the temple of the great goddess Diana may count for nothing, and her magnificence may be degraded, she whom all Asia and the world worships. ²⁸ And when they heard this, they were filled with rage, and cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians. ²⁹ And the whole city was filled with confusion: and dragging Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia and Paul's companions in travel, they rushed with one accord into the theatre. ³⁰ Paul wanted to enter in among the people, but the disciples would not let him. ³¹ And certain of the chief officials of Asia, who were his friends, sent to him, asking him not to venture into the theatre. ³² Some cried out one thing, and some another: for the assembly was confused; and most of them did not know why they had come together. ³³ And some of the multitude called upon Alexander, whom the Jews had put forward. And Alexander beckoned with his hand, and would have made a defence to the people. ³⁴ But when they recognized that he was a Jew, they all cried out with one voice for about two hours, Great is Diana of the Ephesians. ³⁵ And when the town clerk had calmed the people, he said, Men of Ephesus, what man is there who does not know that the city of the Ephesians is the guardian of the great goddess Diana, and of the image which fell down from heaven? ³⁶ Seeing then that these things cannot be denied, you ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rash. ³⁷ For you have brought here these men, who are neither robbers of temples, nor blasphemers of our goddess. ³⁸ Therefore, if Demetrius, and the craftsmen who are with him, have a complaint against any man, the courts are open, and there are proconsuls: let them bring charges against one another. ³⁹ But if you require anything beyond this, it shall be settled in the regular assembly. ⁴⁰ For we are in danger of being charged with rioting today, since there is no cause we can give to justify this disorder. ⁴¹ And when he had spoken thus, he dismissed the assembly.

¹⁷ And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called for the elders of the church.

³² If for merely human reasons I fought beasts in Ephesus, what advantage is that to me, if the dead are not raised? let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we die.

⁸ But I will stay at Ephesus until Pentecost,

¹ Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, the faithful in Christ Jesus:

¹⁵ Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea, and Nympha, and the church which is in her house. ¹⁶ And when this letter is read among you, have it also read to the church of the Laodiceans; and you, likewise, read the letter from Laodicea.

³ As I urged you when I went to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus, that you might warn certain men not to teach any other doctrine,

¹⁹ Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;

⁴ And when the seven thunders had spoken, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders spoke, and do not write them.

¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord henceforth: Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; for their works follow them.

⁹ And he said to me, Write, Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said to me, These are the true words of God.

⁵ And he who sits upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me, Write: for these words are faithful and true.

¹³ And in the midst of the seven lampstands, one like a Son of man, clothed with a garment down to his feet, and around his breast a golden girdle.

⁷ But made himself of no reputation, and took upon himself the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: ⁸ And being found in form as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

¹⁴ Since then, as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he himself also partook of the same; that through death he might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil; ¹⁵ And deliver those who through fear of death were all their lives subject to bondage. ¹⁶ For truly he does not help angels; but he helps the descendants of Abraham. ¹⁷ Therefore, in all things he had to be made like his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

¹⁵ For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our infirmities; but one who in every respect was tempted as we are, yet without sin.

¹⁴ And I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud sat one like a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

⁶ And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

³ His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow:

¹² His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written upon him, that no man knew, but he himself.

² And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters, and like the roar of great thunder: the voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing upon their harps:

⁶ And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters, like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord our God omnipotent reigns.

² And was transfigured before them: and his face shone like the sun, and his clothing was white as the light.

¹³ At midday, O king, I saw on the way a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, shining around me and those who traveled with me.

¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

¹² For the word of God is alive, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intents of the heart.

¹⁶ Therefore repent; or else I will come to you quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.

¹ And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire.

¹ And there appeared a great sign in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

²¹ And the rest were slain with the sword that came out of the mouth of him who sat upon the horse: and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

² And was transfigured before them: and his face shone like the sun, and his clothing was white as the light. ³ And, behold, there appeared to them Moses and Elijah, talking with him. ⁴ Then Peter answered, and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if you wish, let us make three tabernacles here; one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah. ⁵ While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and a voice out of the cloud said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear him. ⁶ And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces, and were very afraid. ⁷ And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and do not be afraid.

⁴ And for fear of him the guards shook, and became as dead men.

⁵ And entering into the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were amazed. ⁶ And he said to them, Do not be afraid: You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he has risen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

³⁷ But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed that they were seeing a spirit. ³⁸ And he said to them, Why are you troubled? and why do doubts arise in your hearts? ³⁹ Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: touch me, and see; for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.

²³ Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.

²⁰ Then Peter, turning about, saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following; the one who had leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, who is the one who betrays you?

¹⁹ And I will give to you the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

¹⁹ Yet a little while, and the world will see me no more; but you shall see me: because I live, you also shall live.

⁹ Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will never die again: death no longer has power over him.

⁸ For if we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord: therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's. ⁹ For to this end Christ both died, and rose to life, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ controls us; because we are convinced that one died for all, therefore all died: ¹⁵ And he died for all, that those who live should not henceforth live for themselves, but for him who died for them, and rose again.

⁴ For though he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God to serve you.

³ For you are dead, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

³ He is the brightness of his glory, and the exact representation of his nature, upholding all things by the word of his power. When he had purged our sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high;

¹⁶ Who is made such, not by a law concerning a physical requirement, but by the power of an endless life.

²⁵ Therefore, he is also able to completely save those who come to God through him, for he ever lives to make intercession for them.

² Looking to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

⁹ And when those living creatures give glory and honour and thanks to him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever,

¹⁴ And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the elders fell down and worshipped .

¹ And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven to the earth: and to him was given the key to the bottomless pit.

¹ And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. ² And he laid hold of the dragon, that old serpent, who is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,

¹⁴ And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.

¹¹ Saying, What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

¹ After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this. ² And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was standing in heaven, and one sat on the throne. ³ And he who sat there appeared like jasper and carnelian: and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance. ⁴ And surrounding the throne were twenty-four thrones: and upon the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white garments; and upon their heads they had crowns of gold. ⁵ And out of the throne came flashes of lightning and peals of thunder: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. ⁶ And before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal: and in the center, around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and behind. ⁷ And the first creature was like a lion, and the second creature like a calf, and the third creature had a face like that of a man, and the fourth creature was like a flying eagle. ⁸ And the four living creatures each had six wings, covered with eyes around and within: and day and night they never stop saying, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come. ⁹ And when those living creatures give glory and honour and thanks to him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, ¹⁰ The twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, ¹¹ You are worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for you have created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.

¹⁴ You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Nor do men light a lamp, and put it under a bushel, but on a lampstand; and it gives light to all who are in the house. ¹⁶ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

¹¹ He answered them, It has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.

¹⁰ And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others it is in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.

¹⁵ That you may be blameless and innocent, the children of God, without blemish, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world; ¹⁶ Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, nor laboured in vain.

¹⁴ These things I write to you, hoping to come to you shortly: ¹⁵ But if I tarry long, I write so you will know how you ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and bulwark of the truth. ¹⁶ And beyond question, great is the mystery of godliness: He was revealed in the flesh, vindicated in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

¹² And I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me. And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands; ¹³ And in the midst of the seven lampstands, one like a Son of man, clothed with a garment down to his feet, and around his breast a golden girdle.

¹⁶ And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword: and his face was like the sun shining at full strength.

¹ To the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These are the words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden lampstands;
