⁵ And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judaea, beginning in Galilee and coming all the way to this place.

¹² Now when Jesus heard that John had been cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; ¹³ And leaving Nazareth, he came and lived in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the region of Zebulun and Naphtali: ¹⁴ That what was spoken by Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, ¹⁵ The land of Zebulun, and the land of Naphtali, by the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; ¹⁶ The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light; and to those who sat in the region and shadow of death, a light has sprung up.

²³ And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of infirmity among the people.

²⁴ When Pilate saw that he could not prevail, but rather that a tumult was starting, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of this man's blood: you see to it yourselves.

¹⁴ Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,

¹⁴ And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee: and news about him went out to all the surrounding region. ¹⁵ And he taught in their synagogues, and was praised by all.

⁵³ And as he left, the scribes and Pharisees began to be hostile, and to question him closely on many things:

²³ And they were insistent, with loud voices demanding that he be crucified. And their voices prevailed.

⁴³ The day following Jesus decided to go forth into Galilee; and he found Philip, and said to him, Follow me.

¹¹ This, the beginning of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee, and manifested his glory; and his disciples believed in him.

⁴¹ Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?

⁵² They answered and said to him, Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see: no prophet arises out of Galilee.

³³ When they heard that, they were cut to the heart, and wanted to kill them.

¹⁰ And when there arose a great dissension, the commander, fearing lest Paul should be pulled in pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and bring him into the barracks.
