¹⁹ And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

¹¹ And the multitudes said, This is Jesus, the prophet of Nazareth of Galilee.

²⁴ Saying, What have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? have you come to destroy us? I know who you are, the Holy One of God.

¹⁶ And fear came upon them all: and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet is risen up among us; and, God has visited his people.

² He came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do the miraculous signs that you do, unless God is with him.

¹⁹ The woman said to him, Sir, I perceive that you are a prophet.

¹⁴ Then those men, when they had seen the miraculous sign that Jesus did, said, This is truly the prophet who is to come into the world.

⁴⁰ Many of the people, when they heard this, said, Truly this is the Prophet. ⁴¹ Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? ⁴² Has not the scripture said, That Christ comes from the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, the village where David lived?

⁵² They answered and said to him, Are you also from Galilee? Search, and see: no prophet arises out of Galilee.

²² You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs, which God performed by him in your midst, as you yourselves know:

²² And Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

³⁸ How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: how he went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with him.
