⁴¹ Then he shall say to those on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into eternal fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

It is Christ who died, yes, and more than that, who was raised again, who is at the right hand of God, and who also intercedes for us. ³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ³⁶ As it is written, For your sake we are killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep for the slaughter. ³⁷ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, ³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁴ But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its lusts.

¹⁸ For they do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own bellies; and by smooth words and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the simple.

²⁰ And the God of peace shall soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

² I knew a man in Christ who fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) was caught up to the third heaven.

⁷ And lest I should exalt myself beyond measure through the abundance of revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger from Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted beyond measure.

³ Let no man deceive you in any way: for that day shall not come, until there is first a falling away, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition;

⁹ The coming of the lawless one is through the working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, ¹⁰ And with all wicked deception for those who perish; because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this reason God shall send them a strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

³ Urge the older women likewise, to be reverent in behaviour, not malicious gossips, not slaves to much wine, but teaching good things;
