⁵ Even so, at this present time, there is a remnant, chosen by grace.

²⁷ Isaiah also cries out concerning Israel, Though the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant shall be saved:

⁶ And if by grace, then it is no longer by works: otherwise grace is no longer grace. ⁷ What then? Israel has not obtained that which it sought; but the elect have obtained it, and the rest were blinded.
