³ let not any one deceive you in any manner, because -- if the falling away may not come first, and the man of sin be revealed -- the son of the destruction,

⁴ And Jesus answering said to them, 'Take heed that no one may lead you astray, ⁵ for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and they shall lead many astray, ⁶ and you shall begin to hear of wars, and reports of wars; see, be not troubled, for it behooves all these to come to pass, but the end is not yet.

¹² when I was with them in the world, I was keeping them in Your name; those whom You have given to me I did guard, and none of them was destroyed, except the son of the destruction, that the Writing may be fulfilled.

⁹ have you not known that the unrighteous the reign of God shall not inherit? be not led astray; neither whoremongers, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor sodomites,

⁶ Let no one deceive you with vain words, for because of these things comes the anger of God upon the sons of the disobedience,

⁸ and then shall be revealed the Lawless One, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the manifestation of his presence, ⁹ him, whose presence is according to the working of the Adversary, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders, ¹⁰ and in all deceitfulness of the unrighteousness in those perishing, because the love of the truth they did not receive for their being saved,

¹ And the Spirit expressly speaks, that in latter times shall certain fall away from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and teachings of demons, ² in hypocrisy speaking lies, being seared in their own conscience, ³ forbidding to marry -- to abstain from meats that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those believing and acknowledging the truth,

¹ And this know you, that in the last days there shall come perilous times, ² for men\'7bpeople\'7d shall be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, evil-speakers\'7bprofane, those speaking insults\'7d, to parents disobedient, unthankful, unkind\'7bunsacred (Gk. anosios)\'7d, ³ without natural affection\'7baffectionless\'7d, implacable\'7bunappeasable, irreconcilable, relentless\'7d, false accusers\'7bslanderers\'7d, incontinent\'7bwithout restraint, undisciplined, lacking self-control\'7d, fierce, not lovers of those who are good,

³ for there shall be a season when the sound teaching they will not suffer, but according to their own desires to themselves they shall heap up teachers -- itching in the hearing, ⁴ and indeed, from the truth the hearing they shall turn away, and to the fables they shall be turned aside.

¹⁸ Little youths, it is the last hour; and even as you heard that the antichrist does come, even now antichrists have become many -- whence we know that it is the last hour;

⁵ And there was given to it a mouth speaking great things, and evil-speakings, and there was given to it authority to make war forty-two months, ⁶ and it did open its mouth for evil-speaking toward God, to speak evil of His name, and of His tabernacle, and of those who in the heaven tabernacle,

¹¹ And I saw another beast coming up out of the land, and it had two horns, like a lamb, and it was speaking as a dragon, ¹² and all the authority of the first beast does it do before it, and it makes the land and those dwelling in it that they shall bow before the first beast, whose deadly stroke was healed, ¹³ and it does great signs, that fire also it may make to come down from the heaven to the earth before men, ¹⁴ and it leads astray those dwelling on the land, because of the signs that were given it to do before the beast, saying to those dwelling upon the land to make an image to the beast that has the stroke of the sword and did live, ¹⁵ and there was given to it to give a spirit to the image of the beast, that also the image of the beast may speak, and that it may cause as many as shall not bow before the image of the beast, that they may be killed. ¹⁶ And it makes all, the small, and the great, and the rich, and the poor, and the freemen, and the servants, that it may give to them a mark upon their right hand or upon their foreheads, ¹⁷ and that no one may be able to buy, or to sell, except he who is having the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. ¹⁸ Here is the wisdom! He who is having the understanding, let him count the number of the beast, for the number of a man it is, and its number is 666.

⁸ 'The beast that you did see: it was, and it is not; and it is about to come up out of the abyss, and to go away to destruction, and wonder shall those dwelling upon the earth, whose names have not been written upon the scroll of the life from the foundation of the world, beholding the beast that was, and is not, although it is.

¹¹ and the beast that was, and is not, he also is eighth, and out of the seven he is, and to destruction he does go away.
