¹ And I saw a messenger coming down out of the heaven, having the key of the abyss, and a great chain over his hand, ² and he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, who is Devil and Adversary, and did bind him a thousand years, ³ and he cast him to the abyss, and did shut him up, and put a seal upon him, that he may not lead astray the nations any more, till the thousand years may be finished; and after these it behooves him to be loosed a little time. ⁴ And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them, and the souls of those who have been beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus, and because of the word of God, and who did not bow before the beast, nor his image, and did not receive the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand, and they did live and reign with Christ the thousand years; ⁵ and the rest of the dead did not live again till the thousand years may be finished; this is the first rising again. ⁶ Happy and holy is he who is having part in the first rising again; over these the second death has not authority, but they shall be priests of God and of the Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. ⁷ And when the thousand years may be finished, the Adversary shall be loosed out of his prison, ⁸ and he shall go forth to lead the nations astray, that are in the four corners of the earth -- Gog and Magog -- to gather them together to war, of whom the number is as the sand of the sea; ⁹ and they did go up over the breadth of the land, and did surround the camp of the saints, and the beloved city, and there came down fire from God out of the heaven, and devoured them; ¹⁰ and the Devil, who is leading them astray, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are the beast and the false prophet, and they shall be tormented day and night -- to the ages of the ages. ¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and Him who is sitting upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven did flee away, and place was not found for them; ¹² and I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and scrolls were opened, and another scroll was opened, which is that of the life, and the dead were judged out of the things written in the scrolls -- according to their works; ¹³ and the sea did give up those dead in it, and the death and the hades did give up the dead in them, and they were judged, each one according to their works; ¹⁴ and the death and the hades were cast to the lake of the fire -- this is the second death; ¹⁵ and if any one was not found written in the scroll of the life, he was cast to the lake of the fire.

³¹ and he was calling on him, that he may not command them to go away to the abyss,

⁴ For if God messengers who sinned did not spare, but with chains of thick gloom, having cast them down to Tartarus, did deliver them to judgment, having been reserved,

⁶ messengers also, those who did not keep their own principality, but did leave their proper dwelling, to a judgment of a great day, in bonds everlasting, under darkness He has kept,

¹⁸ and he who is living, and I did become dead, and, lo, I am living to the ages of the ages. Amen! and I have the keys of the hades and of the death.

¹ And the fifth messenger did sound, and I saw a star out of the heaven having fallen to the earth, and there was given to it the key of the pit of the abyss, ² and he did open the pit of the abyss, and there came up a smoke out of the pit as smoke of a great furnace, and darkened was the sun and the air, from the smoke of the pit.

¹ And I saw another strong messenger coming down out of the heaven, arrayed with a cloud, and a rainbow upon the head, and his face as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire,

¹ And after these things I saw another messenger coming down out of the heaven, having great authority, and the earth was lightened from his glory,

²⁹ and lo, they cried out, saying, 'What -- to us and to you, Jesus, Son of God? Did you come here, before the time, to afflict us?'

²⁹ and every one who left houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for my name's sake, an hundredfold shall receive, and life age-during shall inherit;

⁷ and having called with a loud voice, he said, 'What -- to me and to you, Jesus, Son of God the Most High? I adjure you by God, may you not afflict me!'

²⁰ but if by the finger of God I cast forth the demons, then come unawares upon you did the reign of God. ²¹ 'When the strong man armed may keep his hall, in peace are his goods; ²² but when the stronger than he, having come upon him, may overcome him, his whole-armour he does take away in which he had trusted, and his spoils he distributes;

³¹ now is a judgment of this world, now shall the ruler of this world be cast forth;

¹¹ and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

²⁰ and the God of the peace shall bruise the Adversary under your feet quickly; the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen!

¹⁴ Seeing, then, the children have partaken of flesh and blood, he himself also in like manner did take part of the same, that through death he might destroy him having the power of death -- that is, the devil --

⁸ Be sober, vigilant, because your opponent the devil, as a roaring lion, does walk about, seeking whom he may swallow up,

¹¹ and they have over them a king -- the messenger of the abyss -- a name is to him in Hebrew, Abaddon, and in the Greek he has a name, Apollyon.

⁹ and the great dragon was cast forth -- the old serpent, who is called 'Devil,' and 'the Adversary,' who is leading astray the whole world -- he was cast forth to the earth, and his messengers were cast forth with him.

¹³ And when the dragon saw that he was cast forth to the earth, he pursued the woman who did bring forth the male,

¹⁵ and the serpent did cast forth after the woman, out of his mouth, water as a river, that he may cause her to be carried away by the river,

¹⁷ and the dragon was angry against the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, those keeping the commands of God, and having the testimony of Jesus Christ.

² and the beast that I saw was like to a leopard, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as the mouth of a lion, and the dragon did give to it his power, and his throne, and great authority.

⁴ and they did bow before the dragon who did give authority to the beast, and they did bow before the beast, saying, 'Who is like to the beast? who is able to war with it?'

²⁴ for there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and they shall give great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, also the chosen.

⁶⁶ and they, having gone, did make the sepulchre secure, having sealed the stone, together with the watch.

³ and I fear, lest, as the serpent did beguile Eve in his subtilty, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in the Christ;

¹³ for those such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ, ¹⁴ and no wonder -- for even the Adversary does transform himself into a messenger of light; ¹⁵ no great thing, then, if also his ministrants do transform themselves as ministrants of righteousness -- whose end shall be according to their works.

⁹ him, whose presence is according to the working of the Adversary, in all power, and signs, and lying wonders, ¹⁰ and in all deceitfulness of the unrighteousness in those perishing, because the love of the truth they did not receive for their being saved, ¹¹ and because of this shall God send to them a working of delusion, for their believing the lie,

⁸ And this one thing let not be unobserved by you, beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day;

¹⁴ and it leads astray those dwelling on the land, because of the signs that were given it to do before the beast, saying to those dwelling upon the land to make an image to the beast that has the stroke of the sword and did live,

¹⁴ for they are spirits of demons, doing signs -- which go forth unto the kings of the earth, and of the whole world, to bring them together to the battle of that great day of God the Almighty; -- ¹⁵ 'lo, I do come as a thief; happy is he who is watching, and keeping his garments, that he may not walk naked, and they may see his unseemliness,' -- ¹⁶ and they did bring them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Armageddon.

² with whom the kings of the earth did commit whoredom; and made drunk from the wine of her whoredom were those inhabiting the earth;'

⁸ 'The beast that you did see: it was, and it is not; and it is about to come up out of the abyss, and to go away to destruction, and wonder shall those dwelling upon the earth, whose names have not been written upon the scroll of the life from the foundation of the world, beholding the beast that was, and is not, although it is.

⁷ And when the thousand years may be finished, the Adversary shall be loosed out of his prison, ⁸ and he shall go forth to lead the nations astray, that are in the four corners of the earth -- Gog and Magog -- to gather them together to war, of whom the number is as the sand of the sea; ⁹ and they did go up over the breadth of the land, and did surround the camp of the saints, and the beloved city, and there came down fire from God out of the heaven, and devoured them; ¹⁰ and the Devil, who is leading them astray, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are the beast and the false prophet, and they shall be tormented day and night -- to the ages of the ages.

¹⁰ And his disciples questioned him, saying, 'Why then do the scribes say that Elijah it behooves to come first?' ¹¹ And Jesus answering said to them, 'Elijah does indeed come first, and shall restore all things, ¹² and I say to you -- Elijah did already come, and they did not know him, but did with him whatever they would, so also the Son of Man is about to suffer by them.' ¹³ Then understood the disciples that concerning John the Baptist he spoke to them.

²⁸ And Jesus said to them, 'Verily I say to you, that you who did follow me, in the regeneration, when the Son of Man may sit upon a throne of his glory, shall sit -- you also -- upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel;

¹⁰ and then shall many be stumbled, and they shall deliver up one another, and shall hate one another.

¹⁶ And Herod having heard, said -- 'He whom I did behead -- John -- this is he; he was raised out of the dead.'

²⁷ and immediately the king having sent a guardsman, did command his head to be brought,

¹¹ And they were questioning him, saying, that the scribes say that Elijah it is necessary to come first.

¹⁷ and he shall go before Him, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn hearts of fathers unto children, and disobedient ones to the wisdom of righteous ones, to make ready for the Lord, a people prepared.'

⁷ And Herod the tetrarch heard of all the things being done by him, and was perplexed, because it was said by certain, that John has been raised out of the dead; ⁸ and by certain, that Elijah did appear, and by others, that a prophet, one of the ancients, was risen; ⁹ and Herod said, 'John I did behead, but who is this concerning whom I hear such things?' and he was seeking to see him.

³⁰ that you may eat and may drink at my table, in my kingdom, and may sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.'

¹⁹ yet a little, and the world does no more behold me, and you behold me, because I live, and you shall live;

¹⁷ and if children, also heirs, heirs, indeed, of God, and heirs together of Christ -- if, indeed, we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together.

¹⁵ for if the casting away of them is a reconciliation of the world, what the reception -- if not life out of the dead?

² have you not known that the saints shall judge the world? and if by you the world is judged, are you unworthy of the smaller judgments? ³ have you not known that we shall judge messengers? why not then the things of life?

¹² if we do endure together -- we shall also reign together; if we deny him, he also shall deny us;

⁹ I, John, who also am your brother, and fellow-partner in the tribulation, and in the reign and endurance, of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, because of the word of God, and because of the testimony of Jesus Christ;

²¹ He who is overcoming -- I will give to him to sit with me in my throne, as I also did overcome and did sit down with my Father in His throne.

⁹ and they sing a new song, saying, 'Worthy are you to take the scroll, and to open the seals of it, because you were slain, and did redeem us to God in your blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation, ¹⁰ and did make us to our God kings and priests, and we shall reign upon the earth.'

⁹ And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those slain because of the word of God, and because of the testimony that they held,

³ and I will give to My two witnesses, and they shall prophesy days, a thousand, two hundred, sixty, arrayed with sackcloth.

⁷ 'And when they may finish their testimony, the beast that is coming up out of the abyss shall make war with them, and overcome them, and kill them,

¹¹ And after the three days and a half, a spirit of life from God did enter into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon those beholding them,

¹⁵ And the seventh messenger did sound, and there came great voices in the heaven, saying, 'The kingdoms of the world did become those of our Lord and of His Christ, and he shall reign to the ages of the ages!'

¹¹ and they did overcome him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life -- unto death;

¹² and all the authority of the first beast does it do before it, and it makes the land and those dwelling in it that they shall bow before the first beast, whose deadly stroke was healed, ¹³ and it does great signs, that fire also it may make to come down from the heaven to the earth before men, ¹⁴ and it leads astray those dwelling on the land, because of the signs that were given it to do before the beast, saying to those dwelling upon the land to make an image to the beast that has the stroke of the sword and did live, ¹⁵ and there was given to it to give a spirit to the image of the beast, that also the image of the beast may speak, and that it may cause as many as shall not bow before the image of the beast, that they may be killed. ¹⁶ And it makes all, the small, and the great, and the rich, and the poor, and the freemen, and the servants, that it may give to them a mark upon their right hand or upon their foreheads, ¹⁷ and that no one may be able to buy, or to sell, except he who is having the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

¹¹ and the smoke of their torment does go up to ages of ages; and they have no rest day and night, who are bowing before the beast and his image, also if any does receive the mark of his name.

² and I saw as a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who do gain the victory over the beast, and his image, and his mark, and the number of his name, standing by the sea of the glass, having harps of God,

⁶ Happy and holy is he who is having part in the first rising again; over these the second death has not authority, but they shall be priests of God and of the Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

⁵ and night shall not be there, and they have no need of a lamp and light of a sun, because the Lord God does give them light, and they shall reign -- to the ages of the ages.

¹⁴ and happy you shall be, because they have not to recompense you, for it shall be recompensed to you in the rising again of the righteous.'

¹¹ if anyhow I may attain to the rising again of the dead.

²⁰ and the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who did the signs before him, in which he led astray those who did receive the mark of the beast, and those who did bow before his image; living they were cast -- the two -- to the lake of the fire, that is burning with brimstone; ²¹ and the rest were killed with the sword of him who is sitting on the horse, which sword is proceeding out of his mouth, and all the birds were filled out of their flesh.

⁸ and he shall go forth to lead the nations astray, that are in the four corners of the earth -- Gog and Magog -- to gather them together to war, of whom the number is as the sand of the sea; ⁹ and they did go up over the breadth of the land, and did surround the camp of the saints, and the beloved city, and there came down fire from God out of the heaven, and devoured them;

¹⁵ And one of those reclining with him, having heard these things, said to him, 'Happy is he who shall eat bread in the reign of God;'

¹ I call upon you, therefore, brethren, through the compassions of God, to present your bodies a sacrifice -- living, sanctified, acceptable to God -- your intelligent service;

⁵ and you yourselves, as living stones, are built up, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

⁹ and you are a choice race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people acquired, that the excellences you may show forth of Him who out of darkness did call you to His wondrous light;

⁶ and did make us kings and priests to his God and Father, to him is the glory and the power to the ages of the ages! Amen.

¹¹ He who is having an ear -- let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies: He who is overcoming may not be injured of the second death.

¹⁰ and did make us to our God kings and priests, and we shall reign upon the earth.'

¹³ And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, 'Write: Happy are the dead who in the Lord are dying from this time!' 'Yes, (says the Spirit,) That they may rest from their labours -- and their works do follow them!'

⁷ Lo, I come quickly; happy is he who is keeping the words of the prophecy of this scroll.'

¹² therefore, also from one were begotten -- and that of one who had become dead -- as the stars of the heaven in multitude, and as sand that is by the sea-shore -- the innumerable.

¹⁴ for they are spirits of demons, doing signs -- which go forth unto the kings of the earth, and of the whole world, to bring them together to the battle of that great day of God the Almighty; --

³ and he cast him to the abyss, and did shut him up, and put a seal upon him, that he may not lead astray the nations any more, till the thousand years may be finished; and after these it behooves him to be loosed a little time.

¹⁰ and the Devil, who is leading them astray, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are the beast and the false prophet, and they shall be tormented day and night -- to the ages of the ages.

¹⁶ And Simon Peter answering said, 'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' ¹⁷ And Jesus answering said to him, 'Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona, because flesh and blood did not reveal it to you, but my Father who is in the heavens. ¹⁸ 'And I also say to you, that you are a rock, and upon this rock I will build my assembly, and gates of Hades shall not prevail against it;

⁵⁴ And his disciples James and John having seen, said, 'Sir, will you that we may command fire to come down from the heaven, and to consume them, as also Elijah did?'

²⁹ and on the day Lot went forth from Sodom, He rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed all.

⁴³ 'Because days shall come upon you, and your enemies shall cast around you a rampart, and compass you round, and press you on every side,

²⁰ 'And when you may see Jerusalem surrounded by encampments, then know that come near did her desolation;

⁸ in flaming fire, giving vengeance to those not knowing God, and to those not obeying the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ;

¹³ now, then, may we go forth unto him without the camp, his reproach bearing;

⁵ and if any one may will to injure them, fire does proceed out of their mouth, and does devour their enemies, and if any one may will to injure them, thus it behooves him to be killed.

¹³ and it does great signs, that fire also it may make to come down from the heaven to the earth before men,

⁴¹ Then shall he say also to those on the left hand, Go you from me, the cursed, to the fire, the age-during, that has been prepared for the Devil and his messengers;

⁴⁶ And these shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to life age-during.'

¹⁰ he also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, that has been mingled unmixed in the cup of His anger, and he shall be tormented in fire and brimstone before the holy messengers, and before the Lamb, ¹¹ and the smoke of their torment does go up to ages of ages; and they have no rest day and night, who are bowing before the beast and his image, also if any does receive the mark of his name.

¹³ and I saw come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs --

²⁰ and the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who did the signs before him, in which he led astray those who did receive the mark of the beast, and those who did bow before his image; living they were cast -- the two -- to the lake of the fire, that is burning with brimstone;

³⁰ the times, indeed, therefore, of the ignorance God having overlooked, does now command all men everywhere to reform, ³¹ because He did set a day in which He is about to judge the world in righteousness, by a man whom He did ordain, having given assurance to all, having raised him out of the dead.'

⁵ But, according to your hardness and impenitent heart, you do treasure up to yourself wrath, in a day of wrath and of the revelation of the righteous judgment of God,

⁷ and the present heavens and the earth, by the same word are treasured, for fire being kept to a day of judgment and destruction of the impious men.

¹⁰ and it will come -- the day of the Lord -- as a thief in the night, in which the heavens with a rushing noise will pass away, and the elements with burning heat be dissolved, and earth and the works in it shall be burnt up. ¹¹ All these, then, being dissolved, what kind of persons does it behoove you to be in holy behaviors and pious acts? ¹² waiting for and hasting to the presence of the day of God, by which the heavens, being on fire, shall be dissolved, and the elements with burning heat shall melt;

² and immediately I was in the Spirit, and lo, a throne was set in the heaven, and upon the throne is one sitting,

¹⁴ and heaven departed as a scroll rolled up, and every mountain and island -- out of their places they were moved;

⁸ and they did not prevail, nor was their place found any more in the heaven;

²⁰ and every island did flee away, and mountains were not found,

¹¹ And I saw the heaven having been opened, and lo, a white horse, and he who is sitting upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness does he judge and war,

¹ And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth did pass away, and the sea is not any more;

²⁷ 'For, the Son of Man is about to come in the glory of his Father, with his messengers, and then he will reward each, according to his work.

²⁰ but, in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subjected to you, but rejoice rather that your names were written in the heavens.'

²⁸ 'Wonder not at this, because there does come an hour in which all those in the tombs shall hear his voice, ²⁹ and they shall come forth; those who did the good things to a rising again of life, and those who practised the evil things to a rising again of judgment.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, 'I am the rising again, and the life; he who is believing in me, even if he may die, shall live; ²⁶ and every one who is living and believing in me shall not die -- to the age;

¹⁵ having hope toward God, which they themselves also wait for, that there is about to be a rising again of the dead, both of righteous and unrighteous;

⁶ who shall render to each according to his works;

¹⁰ And you, why do you judge your brother? or again, you, why do you set at nought your brother? for we shall all stand at the tribunal of the Christ; ¹¹ for it has been written, 'I live! says the Lord -- to Me bow shall every knee, and every tongue shall confess to God;' ¹² so, then, each of us concerning himself shall give reckoning to God;

⁵ so, then, nothing before the time judge you, till the Lord may come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of the darkness, and will manifest the counsels of the hearts, and then the praise shall come to each from God.

²¹ for since through man is the death, also through man is a rising again of the dead, ²² for even as in Adam all die, so also in the Christ all shall be made alive, ²³ and each in his proper order, a first-fruit Christ, afterwards those who are the Christ's, in his presence,

¹⁰ for all of us it behooves to be manifested before the tribunal of the Christ, that each one may receive the things done through the body, in reference to the things that he did, whether good or evil;

³ and I ask also you, genuine yoke-fellow, be assisting those women who in the good news did strive along with me, with Clement also, and the others, my fellow-workers, whose names are in the book of life.

¹⁵ for this to you we say in the word of the Lord, that we who are living -- who do remain over to the presence of the Lord -- may not precede those asleep, ¹⁶ because the Lord himself, in a shout, in the voice of a chief-messenger, and in the trump of God, shall come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ shall rise first, ¹⁷ then we who are living, who are remaining over, together with them shall be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in air, and so always with the Lord we shall be;

²³ and her children I will kill in death, and know shall all the assemblies that I am he who is searching reins and hearts; and I will give to you -- to each -- according to your works.

⁵ He who is overcoming -- this one -- shall be arrayed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the scroll of the life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before His messengers.

¹⁸ and the nations were angry, and Your anger did come, and the time of the dead, to be judged, and to give the reward to Your servants, to the prophets, and to the saints, and to those fearing Your name, to the small and to the great, and to destroy those who are destroying the land.'

⁸ And bow before it shall all who are dwelling upon the land, whose names have not been written in the scroll of the life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

⁵ And a voice out of the throne did come forth, saying, 'Praise our God, all you His servants, and those fearing Him, both the small and the great;'

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and Him who is sitting upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven did flee away, and place was not found for them;

¹³ and the sea did give up those dead in it, and the death and the hades did give up the dead in them, and they were judged, each one according to their works;

²⁷ and there may not at all enter into it any thing defiling and doing abomination, and a lie, but -- those written in the scroll of the life of the Lamb.

¹² And lo, I come quickly, and my reward is with me, to render to each as his work shall be;

⁵⁰ And this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood the reign of God is not able to inherit, nor does the corruption inherit the incorruption; ⁵¹ lo, I tell you a secret; we indeed shall not all sleep, and we all shall be changed; ⁵² in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trumpet, for it shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we -- we shall be changed: ⁵³ for it behooves this corruptible to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality; ⁵⁴ and when this corruptible may have put on incorruption, and this mortal may have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the word that has been written, 'The Death was swallowed up -- to victory; ⁵⁵ where, O Death, thy sting? where, O Hades, thy victory?' ⁵⁶ and the sting of the death is the sin, and the power of the sin the law; ⁵⁷ and to God -- thanks, to Him who is giving us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ; ⁵⁸ so that, my brethren beloved, become you stedfast, unmovable, abounding in the work of the Lord at all times, knowing that your labour is not vain in the Lord.

⁸ and I saw, and lo, a pale horse, and he who is sitting upon him -- his name is Death, and Hades does follow with him, and there was given to them authority to kill, (over the fourth part of the land,) with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the land.

¹² and I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and scrolls were opened, and another scroll was opened, which is that of the life, and the dead were judged out of the things written in the scrolls -- according to their works;

²⁶ the last enemy is done away -- death;

⁵³ for it behooves this corruptible to put on incorruption, and this mortal to put on immortality;

¹⁵ and if any one was not found written in the scroll of the life, he was cast to the lake of the fire.

⁴ and God shall wipe away every tear from their eyes, and the death shall not be any more, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor shall there be any more pain, because the first things did go away.'

⁴² and shall cast them to the furnace of the fire; there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.

⁴³ 'And if your hand may cause you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you maimed to enter into the life, than having the two hands, to go away to the gehenna, to the fire -- the unquenchable -- ⁴⁴ where there worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched. ⁴⁵ 'And if your foot may cause you to stumble, cut it off; it is better for you to enter into the life lame, than having the two feet to be cast to the gehenna, to the fire -- the unquenchable -- ⁴⁶ where there worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched. ⁴⁷ And if your eye may cause you to stumble, cast it out; it is better for you one-eyed to enter into the reign of God, than having two eyes, to be cast to the gehenna of the fire -- ⁴⁸ where their worm is not dying, and the fire is not being quenched;

¹⁶ he who has believed, and has been baptized, shall be saved; and he who has not believed, shall be condemned.

¹⁸ he who is believing in him is not judged, but he who is not believing has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. ¹⁹ 'And this is the judgment, that the light has come to the world, and men did love the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil;

³⁶ he who is believing in the Son, has life age-during; and he who is not believing the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God does remain upon him.'

⁶ Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life, no one does come unto the Father, if not through me;

¹² and there is not salvation in any other, for there is no other name under the heaven that has been given among men, in which it behooves us to be saved.'

³ how shall we escape, having neglected so great salvation? which a beginning receiving -- to be spoken through the Lord -- by those having heard was confirmed to us,

²⁵ See, may you not refuse him who is speaking, for if those did not escape who refused him who upon earth was divinely speaking -- much less we who do turn away from him who speaks from heaven,

¹¹ and this is the testimony, that life age-during did God give to us, and this -- the life -- is in His Son; ¹² he who is having the Son, has the life; he who is not having the Son of God -- the life he has not.
