⁶ And he said to me, 'Solomon your son, he shall build my house and my courts: For I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father.

¹³ He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. ¹⁴ I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commit iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men:

¹¹ And it shall come to pass, when your days be expired that you must go to be with your fathers, that I will raise up your seed after you, which shall be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom. ¹² He shall build me a house, and I will establish his throne forever. ¹³ I will be his father, and he shall be my son: And I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before you: ¹⁴ But I will settle him in my house and in my kingdom forever: And his throne shall be established forevermore.

⁹ Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around: For his name shall be Solomon, and I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days. ¹⁰ He shall build a house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.

⁹ Now, O LORD God, let your promise to David my father be established: For you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.

¹² and speak to him, saying, 'Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, "Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and He shall grow up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of the LORD: ¹³ He shall even build the temple of the LORD; and He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon His throne; and He shall be a priest upon His throne: And the counsel of peace shall be between them both." '

³ For this Man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.

⁶ but Christ as a Son over His own house; whose house we are, if we hold firm the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope steadfast to the end.

⁵ And again in this place, "If they shall enter into My rest."
