⁷ Moreover I will establish his kingdom forever, if he be constant to do My commandments and my judgments, as at this day.

⁶ Be strong and of a good courage: For to this people shall you divide for an inheritance the land, which I swore to their fathers to give them. ⁷ Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded you: Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

² I go the way of all the earth: Be you strong therefore, and show yourself a man; ³ and keep the charge of the LORD your God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do, and wherever you turn yourself: ⁴ That the LORD may continue his word which he spoke concerning me, saying, "If your children take heed to their way, to walk before me in truth with all their heart and with all their soul, there shall not fail you (said he) a man on the throne of Israel.

¹² concerning this house which you are in building, if you will walk in My statutes, and execute my judgments, and keep all My commandments to walk in them; then will I perform my word with you, which I spoke to David your father: ¹³ And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will not forsake my people Israel.

⁶¹ Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

⁴ And if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep My statutes and my judgments: ⁵ Then I will establish the throne of your kingdom on Israel forever, as I promised to David your father, saying, "There shall not fail you a man on the throne of Israel.

⁴ For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods: And his heart was not perfect with the LORD his God, as was the heart of David his father.

⁹ And the LORD was angry with Solomon, because his heart was turned from the LORD God of Israel, which had appeared to him twice, ¹⁰ and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods: But he kept not that which the LORD commanded. ¹¹ Why the LORD said to Solomon, "For as much as this is done of you, and you have not kept My covenant and My statutes, which I have commanded you, I will surely rend the kingdom from you, and will give it to your servant. ¹² Notwithstanding in your days I will not do it for David your father's sake: But I will rend it out of the hand of your son. ¹³ However, I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to your son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen.

¹³ Then you shall prosper, if you take heed to fulfill the statutes and judgments which the LORD charged Moses with concerning Israel: Be strong, and of good courage; dread not, nor be dismayed.

¹⁰ Take heed now; for the LORD has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary: Be strong, and do it.

²⁸ I will keep My mercy for him forevermore, and My covenant shall stand fast with him. ²⁹ I will also make his seed to endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven. ³⁰ If his children forsake My law, and do not walk in My judgments; ³¹ if they break My statutes, and do not keep My commandments; ³² then I will visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes. ³³ Nevertheless I will not utterly take My lovingkindness from him, nor will I allow My faithfulness to fail. ³⁴ I will not break My covenant, nor alter the thing that has gone out of My lips. ³⁵ Once I have sworn by My holiness, I will not lie to David. ³⁶ His seed shall endure forever, and his throne as the sun before Me. ³⁷ It shall be established forever like the moon, and like a faithful witness in heaven." Selah.

¹² If your children will keep My covenant and My testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon your throne forevermore."

⁴⁴ And in the days of these kings the God of heaven shall set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: And the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.
