⁶ We are of God: He that knows God hears us; he that is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

²⁰ To the law and to the testimony: If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

¹⁰ For the LORD has poured out on you the spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes: He has covered the prophets, your rulers, and the seers.

²² "All things are delivered to Me from My Father: And no man knows who the Son is, except the Father; and who the Father is, except the Son, and the one to whom the Son will reveal Him."

¹⁹ Then they said to Him, "Where is Your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither Me, nor My Father: If you had known Me, you should have known My Father also."

²⁷ My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:

²⁰ Truly, truly, I say to you, He that receives whomever I send receives Me; and he that receives Me receives Him that sent Me."

¹⁷ even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him, nor know Him: But you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you.

²⁶ But when the Comforter has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of Me:

¹³ Moreover when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth: For He shall not speak of Himself; but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak: And He will show you things to come.

³⁷ Pilate therefore said to Him, "Are You a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say that I am a king. For this purpose I was born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone that is of the truth hears My voice."

²¹ Then Jesus said to them again, "Peace be to you: As My Father has sent Me, even so I send you."

¹ Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God,

⁸ (Even as it is written, "God has given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear); to this day."

¹² Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us from God. ¹³ Which things we also speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. ¹⁴ But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: For they are foolishness to him: Neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

³⁷ If any man thinks himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things which I write to you are the commandments of the Lord.

⁷ Do you look upon things according to the outward appearance? If any man trusts within himself that he is Christ's, let him think to himself again about this, that as he is Christ's, even so we are Christ's.

⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those that do not know God, and that do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

⁹ Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, ¹⁰ and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in those that perish; because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this reason God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

¹ Now the Spirit expressly speaks, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

² That you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment from us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior:

¹ Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but prove the spirits by testing whether they are of God: Because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

⁴ You are of God, little children, and have overcome them: Because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

⁸ He that does not love does not know God; for God is love.

¹⁷ But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
