³ But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

¹³ And the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this that you have done?" And the woman said, "The serpent beguiled me, and I ate." ¹⁴ And the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, you are cursed above all domestic beasts, and above every wild beast of the field; upon your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life: ¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel." ¹⁶ To the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in sorrow you shall bring forth children; and your desire shall be to your husband, and he shall rule over you." ¹⁷ And to Adam He said, "Because you have hearkened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it': Cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow you shall eat of it all the days of your life;

² If a man vow a vow to the LORD, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.

²¹ When you shall vow a vow to the LORD your God, you shall not slack to pay it: For the LORD your God will surely require it of you; and it would be sin in you.

²¹ And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, "I will persuade him. ²² And the LORD said to him, "With which? And he said, "I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, "You shall persuade him, and prevail also: Go forth, and do so.

¹ And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel. ² And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it. ³ And Joab answered, The LORD make his people a hundred times so many more as they be: But, my lord the king, are they not all my lord's servants? Why then does my lord require this thing? Why will he be a cause of trespass to Israel?

¹³ And you say, "How does God know? Can he judge through the dark cloud?

⁷ Yet they say, "The LORD shall not see, nor shall the God of Jacob regard it." ⁸ Understand, you brutish among the people: And you fools, when will you be wise? ⁹ He that planted the ear, shall He not hear? He that formed the eye, shall He not see?

²⁵ It is a snare to the man who devours that which is holy, and after vows to make inquiry regarding it.

⁴ When you vow a vow to God, do not defer to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools: Pay that which you have vowed.

¹⁵ Woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, "Who sees us?" and "Who knows us?"

²⁴ Can anyone hide himself in secret places such that I shall not see him?" said the LORD. "Do I not fill heaven and earth?" said the LORD.

¹² Ephraim compasses Me around with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: But Judah still rules with God, and is faithful with the saints."

³ And when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread." ⁴ But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.' " ⁵ Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, and set Him on a pinnacle of the temple, ⁶ and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down: For it is written, 'He shall give His angels charge concerning You': And, 'in their hands they shall bear You up, lest at any time You dash Your foot against a stone.' " ⁷ Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.' " ⁸ Again, the devil took Him up into an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; ⁹ and said to Him, "I will give You all these things, if You will fall down and worship me." ¹⁰ Then Jesus said to Him, "Get away from here, Satan: For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only shall you serve.' " ¹¹ Then the devil left Him; and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

¹⁹ When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes, and takes away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the wayside.

³ Then Satan entered into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being numbered as one of the twelve.

² And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray Him;

²⁷ Then after the dipped bread, Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly."

² and kept back part of the price paid, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part of it, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

⁴ While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own power? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men, but to God."

⁹ Then Peter said to her, "How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Behold, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they shall carry you out."

²¹ You therefore which teaches another, do you not teach yourself? You that preach a man should not steal, do you steal? ²² You who say, "A man should not commit adultery", do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you commit sacrilege?

¹¹ Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ¹² For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. ¹³ Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand therefore, having your loins girded around with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; ¹⁵ and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; ¹⁶ above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

⁷ Therefore submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour:

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceives the whole world: He was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. ¹⁰ Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come: For the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. ¹¹ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they did not love their lives to the death.
