⁷ And the multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all that fight against her and her fortification, and that distress her, shall be as a dream of a night vision.

⁸ He shall fly away as a dream, and shall not be found: Yes, he shall be chased away as a vision of the night.

²⁰ As a dream when one awakes; so, O Lord, when You awake, you shall despise their image.

¹⁴ And behold at time of evening trouble; and before the morning he is no more. This is the portion of those who spoil us, and the lot of those that rob us.

³⁶ Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty and five thousand: And when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

¹¹ Behold, all they who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and confounded: They shall be as nothing; and those who strive with you shall perish. ¹² You shall seek them, and shall not find them, even they who contended with you: Those who war against you shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nothing.

³¹ A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD has a controversy with the nations, He will plead with all flesh; He will give those who are wicked to the sword', said the LORD." ³² Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the borders of the earth. ³³ And on that day the slain of the LORD shall be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth: They shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground.

⁴² The sea has come up upon Babylon: She is covered with the multitude of its waves. ⁴³ Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land in which no man dwells, neither does any son of man pass by it. ⁴⁴ And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he has swallowed up: And the nations shall not flow together to him any more: Yes, the wall of Babylon shall fall.

¹¹ Now also many nations are gathered against you, that say, "Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion." ¹² But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD, neither do they understand His counsel: For He shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.

³ The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: The LORD has His way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of His feet. ⁴ He rebukes the sea, and makes it dry, and dries up all the rivers: Bashan languishes, and Carmel, and the flower of Lebanon languishes. ⁵ The mountains quake at Him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at His presence, yes, the world, and all that dwell in it. ⁶ Who can stand before His indignation? And who can abide in the fierceness of His anger? His fury is poured out like fire, and the rocks are thrown down by Him.abide: In Hebrew, stand up ⁷ The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those that trust in Him. ⁸ But with an overrunning flood He will make an utter end of that place, and darkness shall pursue His enemies. ⁹ What do all you imagine against the LORD? He will make an utter end: Affliction shall not rise up the second time. ¹⁰ For while they are entwined together as thorns, and while they are drunken as drunkards, they shall be devoured as fully dried stubble. ¹¹ There is one that comes out of you, that imagines evil against the LORD, a wicked counselor.a wicked counselor: In Hebrew, a counselor of Belial ¹² Thus says the LORD; "Though they be quiet, and likewise many, yet they shall be cut down, when he shall pass through. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.

³ And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: All that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. ⁴ In that day", says the LORD, "I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: And I will open My eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. ⁵ And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, 'The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.'

⁹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

¹ Behold, the day of the LORD comes, and your spoil shall be divided in the midst of you. ² "For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses pillaged, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city." ³ Then the LORD shall go forth, and fight against those nations, as when He fought in the day of battle.

¹² And this shall be the plague with which the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. ¹³ And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold, everyone, on the hand of his neighbor, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbor. ¹⁴ And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen compassed around shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. ¹⁵ And likewise shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the donkey, and of all the beasts that shall be in these camps, even as this plague.

⁸ and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: The number of whom is as the sand of the sea. ⁹ And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed all around the camp of the saints, and the beloved city: And fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
