²⁹ And if your right eye causes you to offend, pluck it out, and cast it from you: For it is better for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body should be cast into hell. ³⁰ And if your right hand causes you to offend, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is better for you that one of your members should perish, and not that your whole body be cast into hell.

⁴³ And if your hand causes you to offend, cut it off: It is better for you to enter into life maimed, than to go into hell having two hands, into the fire that shall never be quenched: ⁴⁴ Where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' ⁴⁵ And if your foot causes you to offend, cut it off: It is better for you to enter into life crippled, than to be cast into hell having two feet, into the fire that shall never be quenched: ⁴⁶ Where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' ⁴⁷ And if your eye causes you to offend, pluck it out: It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye, than to be cast into hell fire having two eyes: ⁴⁸ Where 'Their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.' ⁴⁹ For everyone shall be seasoned with fire, and every sacrifice shall be seasoned with salt.

¹³ For if you live after the flesh, you shall die: But if you through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.
