⁶ Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness: For they shall be filled.

⁶ There are many that say, "Who will show us any good?" LORD, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. ⁷ You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their grain and their wine increased.

¹⁵ As for me, I will behold Your face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Your likeness.

¹ To the chief Musician, Maschil, for the sons of Korah. As the hart pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after You, O God. ² My soul thirsts for God, for the living God: When shall I come and appear before God?

¹ A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; early will I seek You: My soul thirsts for You, my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; ² to see Your power and Your glory, such as I have seen You in the sanctuary.

⁵ My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips:

⁴ Blessed is the man whom You choose, and cause to approach to You, that he may dwell in Your courts: We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, even of Your holy temple.

² My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the LORD: My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

⁹ For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.

¹⁹ He will fulfill the desire of those that fear Him; He also will hear their cry, and will save them.

¹ I have come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: Eat, O friends; drink, yes, drink abundantly, O beloved.

⁶ And in this mountain the LORD of hosts shall make a feast of fat things to all people, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

¹⁷ When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue fails for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.

³ For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground: I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, and My blessing on your offspring:

⁹ that You may say to the prisoners, 'Go forth'; to those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' "They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. ¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: For He that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall He guide them.

¹ "Ho, everyone who thirsts, all of you come to the waters, and he who has no money; come all of you, buy, and eat; yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. ² Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? And your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen to Me diligently, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. ³ Incline your ear, and come to Me: Hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, even the sure mercies of David.

¹³ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, My servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry: Behold, My servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty: Behold, My servants shall rejoice, but you shall be ashamed:

¹¹ That you may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that you may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory."

¹¹ Behold, the days come", says the Lord GOD, "that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD: ¹² And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it. ¹³ In that day the fair virgins and young men shall faint for thirst.

⁵³ He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He has sent away empty.

²¹ Blessed are you that hunger now: For you shall be filled. Blessed are you that weep now: For you shall laugh.

²⁵ Woe to you that are full! For you shall hunger. Woe to you that laugh now! For you shall mourn and weep.

¹⁴ But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life."

²⁷ Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man shall give to you: For God the Father has sealed Him."

⁴⁸ I am the bread of life. ⁴⁹ Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. ⁵⁰ This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that one may eat of it, and not die. ⁵¹ I am the living bread which came down from heaven: If any man eats of this bread, he shall live forever: And the bread that I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." ⁵² The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, "How can this Man give us His flesh to eat?" ⁵³ Then Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His blood, you have no life in you. ⁵⁴ Whoever eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, has eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He who eats My flesh, and drinks My blood, dwells in Me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father has sent Me, and I live by the Father: So he who eats Me, even he shall live by Me. ⁵⁸ This is that bread which came down from heaven: Not as your fathers ate manna, and are dead: He who eats of this bread shall live forever."

³⁷ On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, "If any man thirsts, let him come to Me, and drink.

¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, neither thirst anymore; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
