⁷ You love righteousness, and hate wickedness: Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows.

¹² And he poured of the anointing oil on Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.

⁶ For You have made him most blessed forever: You have made him exceedingly glad with Your countenance.

⁵ He loves righteousness and judgment: The earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

²⁰ I have found David My servant; with My holy oil I have anointed him:

²⁶ He shall cry to Me, 'You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.'

⁴ The King's strength also loves judgment: You do establish equity, You execute judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

³ I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I have hated the work of those who turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. ⁴ A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

⁸ I will soon destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.

¹ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the meek; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; ² to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn; ³ to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that He might be glorified.

¹⁵ And Jesus answering said to him, "Let it be so now: For thus it befits us to fulfill all righteousness." Then he let Him.

²³ And then I will profess to them, 'I never knew you: Depart from me, you that work iniquity.'

²² and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, "You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased."

¹⁸ "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are bruised, ¹⁹ to preach the acceptable year of the LORD." ²⁰ Then He closed the book, and He gave it back to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all of those who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. ²¹ And He began to say to them, "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your ears."

²⁷ But He shall say, 'I tell you, I do not know you, nor what place you belong; depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.'

¹⁶ And of His fullness we all have received, and grace for grace.

³⁴ For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God: For God does not give the Spirit by limited measure to Him.

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, "Do not touch Me; for I am not yet ascended to My Father: But go to My brethren, and say to them, 'I ascend to My Father, and your Father; and to My God, and your God.' "

²⁸ You have made known to me the ways of life; You shall make me full of joy with Your countenance.'

²⁹ For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

¹⁸ And He is the head of the body, the church: Who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence. ¹⁹ For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell;

⁹ You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows."

¹⁴ Since then, as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

²⁶ For such a High Priest suited us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

²⁷ And there shall in no case enter into it anything that defiles, neither anything that works abomination, or makes a lie: But those which are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.
