¹² Then the fourth angel sounded, and a third of the sun was smitten, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars; so that a third of them were darkened, and the day did not shine for a third of it, and likewise the night.

²¹ And the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt." ²² And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days: ²³ They did not see one another, neither did anyone rise from his place for three days: But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. ²⁴ And Pharaoh called to Moses, and said, "Go, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be left: Let your little ones also go with you." ²⁵ And Moses said, "You must also give us sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice to the LORD our God. ²⁶ Our domestic beasts shall also go with us; there shall not be one hoof left behind; for we must take of them to serve the LORD our God; and we do not know with what we must serve the LORD, until we come to that place." ²⁷ But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go. ²⁸ And Pharaoh said to him, "Get away from me, take heed to yourself, see my face no more; for in that day you see my face you shall die." ²⁹ And Moses said, "You have spoken well, I will not ever see your face again."

¹⁰ For the stars of heaven and their constellations shall not give light: The sun shall be darkened in His going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

²³ Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his elders gloriously.

²³ I beheld the earth, and lo, it was without form, and void; and heaven, and they had no light.

⁷ And when I shall put you out, I will cover the heaven, and make its stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light. ⁸ I will make all the bright lights of heaven dark over you, and set darkness on your land', said the Lord GOD.

¹⁰ The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: The sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:

³¹ The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD comes.

¹⁵ The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.

⁹ And it shall come to pass in that day", says the Lord GOD, "that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

⁸ And it shall come to pass, that in all the land", says the LORD, "two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die; but one-third shall be left in the land. ⁹ And I will bring the one-third through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will prove them through testing as gold is proved: They shall call on My name, and I will hear them: I will say, 'It is My people': And they shall say, 'The LORD is my God.' "

²⁹ Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

⁴⁵ Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.

²⁴ But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

³³ And when the sixth hour had come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour.

²⁵ And there shall be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;

⁴⁴ Now it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. ⁴⁵ Even the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in the middle.

²⁰ The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the LORD comes:

⁴ In whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.

⁹ Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, ¹⁰ and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in those that perish; because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this reason God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: ¹² That they all might be damned who did not believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

¹² And I beheld when He opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

⁷ The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: And a third of the trees were burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. ⁸ Then the second angel sounded, and with all speed a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: And one third of the sea became blood; ⁹ and a third of the creatures in the sea which had life died; and a third of the ships were destroyed. ¹⁰ Then the third angel sounded, and a large star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell upon a third of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; ¹¹ and the name of the star is called Wormwood: And a third of the waters became wormwood; and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter. ¹² Then the fourth angel sounded, and a third of the sun was smitten, and a third of the moon, and a third of the stars; so that a third of them were darkened, and the day did not shine for a third of it, and likewise the night.

¹⁵ And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, to slay a third of men.

¹⁸ By these three a third of men were killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths.

⁴ And his tail drew a third of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth: And the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, to devour her Child as soon as it was born.

⁸ And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. ⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which has power over these plagues: And they did not repent to give Him glory.
