²¹ So the servant came and told his master these things. And the master of the family, being incensed, said to his servant, Go out quickly to the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor and the maimed, and the lame, and the blind.

⁸ He lifteth up the needy from the ground; And raiseth the beggar from a dunghill; To seat them among a people's princes; And he causeth them to possess a throne of glory.

¹² At this David's young men turned about, and came away, and having returned, they came and told David these words,

¹² Keep fast hold of instruction; the Lord may be angry and you may perish out of the right way. When his anger suddenly blazeth forth, happy are all they who have trusted in him.

⁷ For my soul was filled with illusions; and there was no soundness in my flesh.

⁷ Who raiseth the distressed from the ground, and lifteth the needy from a dunghill: ⁸ to seat him with princes; with the chiefs of his people.

²⁰ Wisdom uttereth her song at the gates and in the streets speaketh boldly; ²¹ and on the tops of walls she maketh proclamation; and at the gates of mighty men taketh a seat and at the gates of a city with confidence saith, ²² "While the innocent adhere to justice they shall not be put to shame: but as for fools who delight in mischief, having become wicked they hated knowledge and are become liable to censures. ²³ Behold I will pour forth to you the dictate of my spirit: and teach you this word of mine; ²⁴ seeing I have called and you have not answered: and though I continued my speech, you did not attend: ²⁵ but set at naught my counsels and disregarded my reproofs:

² For she is on the lofty summits; and hath taken her stand in the middle of highways. ³ For at the gates of the mighty she hath taken a seat, and at the entrance thereof chanteth her song. ⁴ "To you, men, I call, and utter my voice to the sons of men.

³ She hath sent out her servants, and with a loud proclamation hath given an invitation to her entertainment, saying, ⁴ "Whosoever is simple, let him come to me." And to them who want understanding she saith,

²³ [p] Thy tackling broke, for they had no strength, thy mast gave way. It will not support the sails, nor rear a standard until it be delivered up for a spoil; therefore many who are lame will seize the prey:

⁶ Then will the lame bound like a hart; and the stammering tongue will speak plain. Because water is burst forth in the desert, and torrents in a thirsty land;

¹ [J] Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem; and look, and inquire, and search in her broad ways. If you can find; if there be a man, who executeth judgment and seeketh truth, I will be merciful to them saith the Lord.

⁷ Again I will feed the flock of the slaughter for Chananites; and I will take me two staves, one I had called Beauty, and the other I called Portion; and I will feed the flock,

¹¹ And on that day it shall be broken; and the Chananites, the sheep that are kept for me, shall know for what cause there is a word of the Lord.

⁵ Blind men see, and lame walk. Lepers are cleansed and deaf hear. Dead are raised and poor have glad tidings proclaimed to them.

²⁸ Come to me all ye who labour and are heavily burdened and I will give you rest.

¹² Then his disciples coming to him said, Dost thou know that the Pharisees, when they heard that saying, were offended?

³¹ When his fellow servants saw this they were deeply affected and went and told their lord all that was done.

²⁸ But what think you? A man had two sons. And coming to the first, he said, Son, go work today in my vineyard.

³⁰ And he in reply said, I will not. But afterwards he repented and went. And coming to the second, he ordered him in like manner; and he in reply said, I will, sir; but did not go. ³¹ Which of the two did the will of his father? They say to him, The first. Jesus saith to them, Verily I say to you, The publicans and the harlots lead the way for you to the kingdom of God.

⁷ When the king heard this he was incensed, and sent forth his armies, and destroyed the murderers, and burned their city. ⁸ Then he saith to his servants, The wedding is indeed ready. but they who have been invited are unworthy;

²² And Jesus answering, said to them, Go and tell John what you have seen and heard; that the blind see; the lame walk; lepers are cleansed; deaf hear; dead are raised to life, and the poor have glad tidings proclaimed to them. ²³ And happy is he who shall not be stumbled at me.

¹⁰ Therefore, when the apostles returned, and told Jesus all that they had done, he took them apart, and withdrew to a solitary place, belonging to a city called Bethsaida.

¹³ But when thou makest an entertainment, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame and the blind,

²⁴ For I say to you, None of the men who have been invited shall taste of my supper.

⁴⁷ and that for his name reformation and remission of sins should be proclaimed to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

³⁹ Now many of the Samaritans of that city believed in him, on the testimony of the woman who said, He told me all that I ever did. ⁴⁰ Therefore, when these Samaritans came, they intreated him to tarry with them. So he stayed there two days. ⁴¹ And many more believed, because of what he himself spake, ⁴² and they said to the woman, It is not now on account of thy talk that we believe; for we ourselves have heard and we know that he is indeed the Saviour of the world, the Christ.

⁴⁷ Thereupon the Pharisees answered them, Are you also seduced? ⁴⁸ Hath any of the chief priests believed in him, or any of the Pharisees? ⁴⁹ But this multitude, which know not the law, are accursed.

³⁹ Then Jesus said, I am come into this world for judgment that they who do not see may see, and that they who see may become blind;

⁴ They, however, who were dispersed, went about proclaiming the glad tidings of the word; ⁵ and Philip having come to a city of Samaria, proclaimed to them the Christ. ⁶ And the crowds with one accord attended to what were spoken by Philip, when they heard and saw the signal miracles which he performed. ⁷ For unclean spirits, with which many were possessed, went out of them with loud outcries: and many paralytic and lame persons were cured.

³ how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation, which was first published by the Lord, and confirmed for us by them who heard him,

²⁵ See that you do not reject him who speaketh. For if they did not escape who rejected him who gave forth oracles on earth, how much less shall we who reject him who is from heaven, ²⁶ whose voice then shook the earth, but he hath now announced, saying, "Yet once more I shake not only the earth but the heaven also."

¹⁷ Obey your leaders and yield to them [for they are watching over your souls,[as they who must give an account] that they may do it with joy and not with grief; for this would be unprofitable for you.

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, hath not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom, which he hath promised to them who love him?

¹ Then I saw another sign in heaven great and wonderful: seven angels having the seven last plagues because by them the wrath of God was finished. ² And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire, and them who were victorious over the beast and over its image and over the number of its name, standing at the glassy sea having the musical instruments of God; ³ and they sing the song of Moses the servant of God and the song of the lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord, God, Almighty; Just and true are thy ways O thou king of the saints; ⁴ Who would not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou alone art perfect. For all the nations will come and worship before thee, For thy rules of rectitude are made manifest. ⁵ And after that I looked and behold! the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened. ⁶ And the seven angels having the seven plagues came out of the temple, clad in clean white linen and having their breasts girded with golden girdles. ⁷ And one of the four animate beings gave the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God who liveth for the ages of the ages. ⁸ And the temple was filled with smoke because of the glory of God and of his majesty, so that no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were finished.

¹⁵ And out of his mouth issueth a sharp sword that with it he may smite the nations. And he himself tendeth them with an iron crook; and he himself treadeth the press of the venemous and raging wine of God Almighty.

¹⁷ Now the spirit and the bride say, Come; and let him who heareth say Come. And let every one who thirsteth come; and let every one who is willing take of the water of life at free cost.
