⁴² But wo be to you Pharises for ye tithe the mynt and rewe and all manner erbes and passe over iudgment and the love of God. These ought ye to have done and yet not to have left the other vndone. ⁴³ Wo be to you Pharises: for ye love the vppermost seates in the synagoges and gretinges in the markets. ⁴⁴ Wo be to you scribes and pharises ypocrites for ye are as graves which appere not and the men yt walke over the are not ware of the. ⁴⁵ Then answered one of the lawears and sayd vnto him: Master thus sayinge thou puttest vs to rebuke also. ⁴⁶ Then he sayde: Wo be to you also ye lawears: for ye lade men with burthens greveous to be borne and ye youre selves touche not ye packes wt one of youre fyngers. ⁴⁷ Wo be to you: ye bylde the sepulchres of the Prophetes and youre fathers killed the: ⁴⁸ truly ye beare witnes that ye alowe the dedes of youre fathers for they kylled them and ye bylde their sepulchres. ⁴⁹ Therfore sayde ye wisdome of God: I will send them Prophetes and Apostles and of them they shall slee and persecute: ⁵⁰ that the bloude of all Prophetes which was sheed fro the beginninge of the worlde maye be requyred of this generacion ⁵¹ from the bloud of Abell vnto the bloud of zachary which perisshed bitwene the aulter and the temple. ¹⁰ The thefe cometh not but forto steale kyll and destroye. I am come that they myght have lyfe and have it more aboundantly.

³⁴ But goo and brynge the people vnto the lande which I sayde vnto the: beholde, myne angell shall goo before the. Neuerthelater in the daye when I vyset, I will vysett their synne vppon them.

³⁶ I was naked and ye clothed me. I was sicke and ye visited me. I was in preson and ye came vnto me.

²⁷ Pure devocion and vndefiled before God the father is this: to vysit the frendlesse and widdowes in their adversite and to kepe him silfe vnspotted of the worlde.

²⁷ my shepe heare my voyce and I knowe them and they folowe me ²⁸ and I geve vnto the eternall lyfe and they shall never perisshe nether shall eny man plucke the oute of my honde. ²⁹ My father which gave the me is greatter then all and no man is able to take them out of my fathers honde. ³⁰ And I and my father are one.

⁵ which are kept by the power of God thorow fayth vnto salvacion which salvacion is prepared all redy to be shewed in the last tyme

¹ The elders which are amonge you I exhorte which am also an elder and a witnes of the affliccions of Christ and also a partaker of the glory that shalbe opened: ² se that ye fede Christes flocke which is amonge you takynge the oversyght of them not as though ye were compelled therto but willyngly: not for the desyre of filthy lucre but of a good mynde. ³ not as though ye were lordes over the parisshes: but that ye be a insample to the flocke. ⁴ And when the chef shepheerde shall appere ye shall receave an incorruptible croune of glorye.

⁹ and myght be founde in him not havynge myne awne rightewesnes which is of the lawe: But that which spryngeth of the fayth which is in Christ. I meane the rightewesnes which cometh of God thorowe fayth

⁹ I once lived with out lawe. But when the commaundement came synne revyved and I was deed.

⁹ Do ye not remember how that the vnrighteous shall not inheret the kyngdome of God? Be not deceaved. For nether fornicators nether worshyppers of ymages nether whormongers nether weaklinges nether abusars of them selves with the mankynde ¹⁰ nether theves nether the coveteous nether dronkardes nether cursed speakers nether pillers shall inheret the kyngdome of God.

¹⁹ The dedes of the flesshe are manyfest whiche are these advoutrie fornicacio vnclenes wantannes ²⁰ ydolatrye witchecraft hatred variaunce zele wrath stryfe sedicion sectes envyinge murther dronkenes glottony and soche lyke: of the which I tell you before as I have tolde you in tyme past that they which comit soche thinges shall not inherite ye kyngdome of God. ²¹ (OMITTED TEXT)

¹⁰ and whormongers: to them that defile them selves with mankynde: to menstealers: to lyars and to periured and so forth yf ther be eny other thinge that is cotrary to holsome doctrine

⁴ Let wedlocke be had in pryce in all poyntes and let the chamber be vndefiled: for whore kepers and advoutrars god will iudge.

⁴ Ye advouterars and wemen that breke matrimonie: knowe ye not how yt the freshippe of ye worlde is ennimite to god warde? Whosoever wilbe a frende of the worlde is made the enemie of god.

¹² And Iesus went in to the temple of God and cast out all them that soulde and bought in the temple and overthrew the tables of the mony chaugers and the seates of them that solde doves ¹³ and sayde to them: It is wrytten my housse shalbe called the housse of prayer. But ye have made it a denne of theves.

³⁵ Then Iesus sayde vnto them: yet a lytell whyle is the light wt you. Walke whill ye have light lest the darcknes come on you. He that walketh in the darke wotteth not whither he goeth.

¹¹ He that hateth his brother is in darknes and walketh in darknes: and cannot tell whither he goeth because that darknes hath blynded his eyes.

¹³ They are the ragynge waves of ye see fominge out their awne shame. They are wandrynge starres to whom is reserved the myst of darcknes for ever.

¹³ But the men of sodome were wyked and synned exceadyngly agenst the LORde.

²⁰ And the LORde sayde? The crie of Sodome and Gomorra is great and there synne is excedynge grevous.

³² But their vynes are of the vynes of Sodom and of the feldes of Gomorra. Their grapes are grapes of gall, and theire clusters be bytter.

²⁴ Neverthelesse I saye vnto you: it shalbe easiar for ye londe of zodo in the daye of iudgemet the for ye.

⁹ even him whose commynge is by the workynge of Satan wyth all lyinge power signes and wonders: ¹⁰ and in all deceavablenes of vnrightewesnes amonge them that perysshe: because they receaved not the (love) of the truth that they myght have bene saved. ¹¹ And therfore god shall sende them stronge delusion that they shuld beleve lyes:

² which speake falce thorow ypocrisye and have their consciences marked with an hote yron

² the elder wemen as mothers ye yonger as sisters with all purenes.

¹ Ther were falce prophetes amonge the people even as ther shalbe falce teachers amonge you: wich prevely shall brynge in damnable sectes even denyinge the Lorde that hath bought them and brynge vpon them selves swyft damnacion ² and many shall folowe their damnable wayes by which the waye of trueth shalbe evyll spoken of

⁶ and turned the cities of zodom and Gomor into asshes: overthrewe them damned the and made on them an ensample vnto all yt after shuld live vngodly.

¹⁴ havinge eyes full of advoutrie and that canot cease to synne begylynge vnstable soules. Hertes they have exercised wt coveteousnes. They are cursed chyldren ¹⁵ and have forsaken the right waye and are gone astraye folowinge ye waye of Balam the sonne of Bosor which loved the rewarde of vnrightewesnes: ¹⁶ but was rebuked of his iniquitie. The tame and dome beast speakinge with manes voyce forbade the folisshnes of the Prophete. ¹⁷ These are welles without water and cloudes caried about of a tepest to whome the myst of darcknes is reserved for ever. ¹⁸ For when they have spoke the swellinge wordes of vanytie they begyle wt wantanes thorowe yt lustes of the flesshe them that were clene escaped: but now are wrapped in errours. ¹⁹ They promys them libertye and are them selves ye bonde servauntes of corrupcion. For of whom soever a man is over come vnto ye same is he in bondage.

⁷ eve as Sodom and Gomor and the cities aboute them (which in lyke maner defiled them selves with fornicacio and folowed straunge flesshe) are set forth for an ensample and suffre the vengeaunce of eternall fyre.

³⁴ they gave him veneger to drinke mengled with gall. And when he had tasted therof he wolde not drinke.

¹ Ye beloved beleve not every sprete: but prove the spretes whether they are of God or no: for many falce Prophetes are gone out into the worlde.

¹⁹ so that when he heareth the wordes of this curse, he blesse him selfe in his hert sayenge: I feare it not, I will ther fore walke after the lust of myne awne hert, that the drounken destroye the thurstie.

¹⁶ He yt heareth you heareth me: and he that dispiseth you despiseth me: and he that dispiseth me despiseth him that sent me.

⁸ He therfore that despiseth despiseth not man but God which hath sent his holy sprete amonge you.

¹⁵ Hence forth call I you not servauntes: for the servaunt knoweth not what his Lorde doeth. But you have I called frendes: for all thinges that I have hearde of my father I have opened to you.

¹⁶ For who knoweth the mynde of the Lorde other who shall informe him? But we vnderstonde the mynde of Christ.

¹ And Iacob called for his sonnes ad sayde: come together that I maye tell you what shall happe you in the last dayes.

⁹ And he dreamed yet another dreame and told it his brethren saynge: beholde I haue had one dreame more: me thought the sonne and the moone and .xi. starres made obaysaunce to me.

⁶ And he sayed: heare my wordes. Yf there be a prophet of the Lordes amonge you I will shewe my selfe vnto him in a vision and will speake vnto him in a dreame:

²⁰ Whill he thus thought behold ye angell of ye Lorde appered vnto him in a dreame saynge: Ioseph ye sonne of David feare not to take vnto ye Mary thy wyfe. For that which is coceaved in her is of the holy goost.

³ For whatsoever ye have spoken in in darknes: that same shalbe hearde in light. And that which ye have spoken in the the eare eve in secret places shalbe preached even on the toppe of the housses.

⁵ Therfore iudge no thinge before the tyme vntill the Lorde come which will lighten thinges that are hyd in darcknes and ope the counsels of the hertes. And then shall every man have prayse of God.

¹³ nether is there eny creature invisible in the sight of it. For all thynges are naked and bare vnto the eyes of him of who we speake.

²³ And I will kyll her children with deeth. And all the congregacions shall knowe that I am he which searcheth ye reynes and hertes. And I will geve vnto evere one of you accordynge vnto youre workes.

¹⁰ and sayde: O full of all sutteltie and disseytfulnes the chylde of the devyll and ye enemye of all righteousnes thou ceasest not to pervert the strayght wayes of the Lorde.

¹ The sprete speaketh evydently that in the latter tymes some shall departe from the fayth and shall geve hede vnto spretes of erroure and dyvelysshe doctrine of them

¹ Yf there a ryse amonge you a prophett or a dreamer of dreames and geue the a sygne or a wondre, ² and that sygne or wonder which he hath sayed come to passe, and then saye: lat vs goo after straunge Goddes which thou hast not knowen, and let vs serue them: ³ herken not vnto the wordes of that prophete or dreamer of dreames. For the Lorde thy God tepteth you, to wete whether ye loue the Lord youre God with all youre hertes ad with al youre soules. ⁴ For ye must walke after the Lorde youre God ad feare him and kepe his comaudmentes and herken vnto his voyce and serue him and cleaue vnto him. ⁵ And that prophete or dreamer of dreames shall dye for it, because he hath spoke to turne you awaye fro the Lorde youre God which broughte you out of the londe of Egipte ad delyuered you out of the housse of bondage, to thrust the out of the waye whiche the Lorde thy God commaunded the to walke in: and so thou shalt put euell awaye from the.

⁸ But Elemas the sorcerar (for so was his name by interpretacion) wt stode them and sought to turne awaye the ruler fro the fayth.

¹⁷ and their wordes shall fret even as doeth a cancre: of whose nombre ys Hymeneos and Philetos ¹⁸ which as concernynge the trueth have erred sayinge that the resurreccion is past all redy and do destroye the fayth of divers persones.

⁶ Of this sorte are they which entre in to houses and brynge into bondage wymmen laden with synne which wemen are ledde of divers lustes ⁷ ever learnynge and never able to come vnto the knowledge of the trueth. ⁸ As Iannes and Iambres withstode Moses even so do these resist the trueth men they are of corrupt myndes and leawde as concernynge the fayth:

⁴⁵ If there be any faithfull servaut and wyse whome his master hath made ruler over his housholde to geve the meate in season covenient:

⁴² And the Lorde sayde: If there be any faith full servaut and wise whom his Lorde shall make ruler over his housholde to geve them their duetie of meate at due season:

¹² Yf eny man bilde on this foundacion golde silver precious stones tymber haye or stoble: ¹³ every mannes worke shall appere. For the daye shall declare it and it shalbe shewed in fyre. And ye fyre shall trye euery mannes worke what it is.

² Furthermore it is requyred of the disposers that they be founde faithfull.

¹⁷ For we are not as many are which choppe and chaunge with the worde of God: but even oute of purenes and by the power of God and in the sight of God so speake we in Christ.

¹² And I thanke Christ Iesus oure Lorde which hath made me stronge: for he counted me true and put me in office

³² And they sayde betwene them selves: dyd not oure hertes burne with in vs whyll he talked with vs by the waye and as he opened to vs the scriptures?

⁶³ It is the sprete that quyckeneth the flesshe proffeteth nothinge. The wordes that I speake vnto you are sprete and lyfe.

³⁷ When they hearde this they were pricked in their hertes and sayd vnto Peter and vnto the other Apostles: Ye men and brethre what shall we do?

¹⁶ To the one parte are we ye savoure of deeth vnto deeth. And vnto the other parte are we the savoure of lyfe vnto lyfe. And who is mete vnto these thinges?

⁴ For the weapes of oure warre are not carnall thinges but thynges myghty in god to cast doune stronge holdes ⁵ wherwith we overthrowe ymaginacyons and every hye thynge that exalteh it silfe agaynst the knowledge of god and brynge into captivite all vnderstondynge to the obedience of Christ

¹² For the worde of god is quycke and myghty in operacion and sharper then eny two edged swearde: and entreth through even vnto the dividynge asonder of the soule and the sprete and of the ioyntes and the mary: and iudgeth the thoughtes and the intentes of the herte:

⁵ These are two olyve trees and two cadlestyckes stodinge before ye god of ye erth

³ And I wil sett my face apon that felowe, and will destroye him from amonge his people: because he hath geuen of his seed vnto Moloch, for to defile my sanctuary and to polute myne holy name.

¹⁷ And I will set my face agenste you and ye shal fall before youre enemyes, and they that hate you shal raigne ouer you, ad ye shall flee whe no man foloweth you.

²⁰ But the prophete which shall presume to speake ought in my name which I commaunded him not to speake, and he that speaketh in the name of straunge Goddes, the same prophete shall dye.

²⁰ And so the Lorde will not be mercyfull vnto him, but then the wrath of the Lorde ad his gelousye, smoke agenst that man, ad al the curses that are written in this boke light vppo him, and the Lorde doo out his name fro vnder heauen,

¹² For ye eyes of ye Lorde are over ye righteous and his eares are open vnto their prayers. But ye face of the Lorde beholdeth the that do evyll.

¹ Yf there a ryse amonge you a prophett or a dreamer of dreames and geue the a sygne or a wondre, ² and that sygne or wonder which he hath sayed come to passe, and then saye: lat vs goo after straunge Goddes which thou hast not knowen, and let vs serue them: ³ herken not vnto the wordes of that prophete or dreamer of dreames. For the Lorde thy God tepteth you, to wete whether ye loue the Lord youre God with all youre hertes ad with al youre soules. ⁴ For ye must walke after the Lorde youre God ad feare him and kepe his comaudmentes and herken vnto his voyce and serue him and cleaue vnto him. ⁵ And that prophete or dreamer of dreames shall dye for it, because he hath spoke to turne you awaye fro the Lorde youre God which broughte you out of the londe of Egipte ad delyuered you out of the housse of bondage, to thrust the out of the waye whiche the Lorde thy God commaunded the to walke in: and so thou shalt put euell awaye from the. ⁶ Yf thy brother the sonne of thy mother or thyne awne sonne or thy doughter or the wife that lieth in thy bosome or thy frende which is as thyne awne soule vnto the, entyce the secretly sayenge: let vs goo and serue straunge goddes which thou hast not knowe nor yet thy fathers, ⁷ of the goddes of the people whiche are roude aboute the, whether thei be nye vnto the or farre of from the, from the one ende of the lande vnto the other: ⁸ Se thou consente not vnto him nor herken vnto him: no let not thyne eye pitye him nor haue compassyon on hym, nor kepe him secrett, but cause him to be slayne: ⁹ Thine hande shalbe first apon hym to kyll him: and then the handes off all the people. ¹⁰ And thou shalt stone hym with stones that he dye, because he hath gone aboute to thrust the awaye from the Lord thy God which brought the out of Egipte the housse of bondage. ¹¹ And all Israel shall heare and feare ad shall doo no moare any soche wekednesse as this is, amonge them. ¹² Yf thou shalt heare saye of one of thy cities which the Lorde thy God hath geuen the to dwell in, ¹³ that certen beyng the childern of Beliall are gone out from amonge you and haue moued the enhabiters of their citie sayeng: lat vs goo and serue straunge Goddes whiche ye haue not knowen. ¹⁴ Then seke and make serche and enquere diligently. Yf it be true and the thinge of a suertie that soch abhominacion is wrought among you: ¹⁵ then thou shalt smyte the dwellers of that citie with the edge of the swerde, and destroye it mercylesse and all that is therin, and euen the very catell thereof with the edge of the swerde. ¹⁶ And gather all the spoyle of it in to the myddes of the streates thereof, and burne with fire: both the citie and all the spoyle thereof euery whitte vnto the Lord thy God. And it shalbe an hepe for euer and shall not be bylt agayne. ¹⁷ And se that their cleaue nought of the damned thinge in thine hande, that the Lorde maye turne fro his fearse wrath and shewe the mercye ad haue compassion on the and multiplye the, as he hath sworne vnto thy fathers: ¹⁸ when thou hast herkened vnto the voyce of the Lorde thy God, to kepe all his comaundmentes which I comaunde the thys daye so that thou doo that which is right in the eyes of the Lorde thy God.

¹⁷ When I thus wyse was mynded: dyd I vse lightnes? Or thinke I carnally those thinges which I thinke? that with me shuld be ye ye and naye naye.

¹⁷ And then my wrath will waxe whote agenst them, and I will forsake them and will hyde my face from them, and they shalbe consumed. And when moch aduersyte and tribulacion is come vppon them, then they will saye: because oure God is not amonge us, ¹⁸ these tribulacions are come vppon us. But I wil hyde my face that same tyme for all the euels sake which they shall haue wrought, in that they are turned vnto straunge goddes.

¹⁹ And when the Lorde sawe it, he was angre because of the prouokynge of his sonnes and doughters. ²⁰ And he sayed: I will hyde my face from the and will se what their ende shall be. For they are a froward generacion ad childern in who is no fayth.

¹¹ And they shall not teache, every man his neghboure, and every man his brother, sayinge: knowe the lorde: For they shall knowe me, from the lest to the moste of them:

²⁶ For what is any flesh that he shulde heare the voyce of the lyuynge God speakynge out of the fyre as we haue done and shulde yet lyue:

³⁶ But I say vnto you that of every ydell worde that men shall have spoken: they shall geve acountes at the daye of iudgement.

²² And he sayde vnto him: Of thine awne mouth iudge I the thou evyll servaunt. knewest thou that I am a strayte man takinge vp that I layde not doune and repinge that I dyd not sowe?

¹⁵ and sayinge: syrs why do ye this? We are mortall men lyke vnto you and preache vnto you that ye shuld turne from these vanyties vnto ye lyvinge God which made heaven and erth and the see and all that in them is:

⁷ which is nothinge els but that ther be some which trouble you and intende to pervert to gospell of Christ.

⁵ For every man shall beare his awne burthen.

⁹ For they the selves shewe of you what maner of entrynge in we had vnto you and how ye tourned to God from ymages for to serve the livynge and true god

¹⁷ These are welles without water and cloudes caried about of a tepest to whome the myst of darcknes is reserved for ever. ¹⁸ For when they have spoke the swellinge wordes of vanytie they begyle wt wantanes thorowe yt lustes of the flesshe them that were clene escaped: but now are wrapped in errours.

¹⁶ yee almost in very pistle speakynge of soche thynges: amoge which are many thynges harde to be vnderstonde which they that are vnlearned and vnstable pervert as they do other scriptures vnto their awne destruccio.

¹⁵ to geve iudgement agaynst all men and to rebuke all that are vngodly amonge them of all their vngodly dedes which they have vngodly comitted and of all their cruell speakynges which vngodly sinners have spoken agaynst him. ¹⁶ These are murmurers complayners walkynge after their awne lustes whose mouthes speake proude thynges. They have men in greate reverence be cause of a vauntage.

¹⁷ For behold I wil bringe in a floud of water apon the erth to destroy all flesh from vnder heaven wherin breth of life is so that all that is in the erth shall perish.

²⁸ then I will walke contrary vnto you also wrathfully and will also chastice you seuen tymes for youre synnes:

³⁹ Se now howe that I, I am he, and that there is no God but I. I can kyll and make alyue, ad what I haue smyten that I can heale: nether ye there that can delyuer any man oute off my honde.

⁴¹ Then shall the kynge saye vnto them that shalbe on the lyfte hande: departe from me ye coursed into everlastinge fire which is prepared for the devyll and his angels.

⁹ which shalbe punysshed with everlastynge damnacion from the presence of the lorde and from the glory of his power

³⁷ And thou shalt goo to wast ad be made an ensample ad a gestyngestocke vnto al nacios whether the Lord shall carye the.
