¹⁸ But you shall remember the LORD your God: for it is he that gives you power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he swore unto your fathers, as it is this day.

⁸ But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, has the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondmen, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

¹² Wherefore it shall come to pass, if all of you hearken to these judgments, and keep, and do them, that the LORD your God shall keep unto you the covenant and the mercy which he swore unto your fathers:

¹ Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman wakes but in vain. ² It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep.

¹ Blessed be the LORD my strength which teaches my hands to war, and my fingers to fight:

²² The blessing of the LORD, it makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

⁸ For she did not know that I gave her corn, and wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold, which they prepared for Baal.
