Acts 3 Cross References - VIN

1 One day Peter and John were going up together for the hour of prayer, at three in the afternoon, 2 And a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those entering the temple courts. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to enter the temple, he asked them for money. 4 And Peter, looking straight at him (as did John) said: Look at us. 5 So the man gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. 6 But Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!” 7 Taking him by the right hand, Peter helped him up, and at once the man’s feet and ankles were strengthened. 8 He sprang to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and leaping and praising God. 9 When all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 they recognized him as the man who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. 11 While the man clung to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and ran to them in the walkway called Solomon’s Colonnade. 12 When Peter saw this, he addressed the people: “Men of Israel, why are you surprised by this? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified His servant Jesus. You handed Him over and rejected Him before Pilate, even though he had decided to release Him. 14 You rejected the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. 15 You killed the Author of life, but God raised Him from the dead, and we are witnesses of the fact. 16 By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know has been made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through Him that has given him this complete healing in your presence. 17 And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders. 18 But in this way God has fulfilled what He foretold through all the prophets, saying that His Christ would suffer. 19 Repent therefore, and turn again, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that he may send the Christ who hath been appointed for you, [even] Jesus 21 Heaven must take Him in until the time comes for the restoration of all things, which God announced long ago through His holy prophets. 22 In fact, Moses said, 'The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers. You must listen to everything he tells you. 23 Everyone who does not heed His words will be completely cut off from among the people.’ 24 Indeed, all the prophets from Samuel on, as many as have spoken, have proclaimed these days. 25 And you are sons of the prophets and of the covenant God made with your fathers, when He said to Abraham, ‘Through your offspring all the families of the earth will be blessed.’ 26 When God raised up His servant, He sent Him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.”

9 The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize Him. 11 He came to his own--yet his own did not receive him. 12 But to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God 13 children born not of blood, nor of the desire or will of man, but born of God. 14 The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John testified concerning Him. He cried out, saying, “This is He of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me has surpassed me, because He was before me.’” 16 Out of the fullness of his undeserved kindness he gives us one blessing after another. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has seen God at any time. The only Son, who is at the Father's side, has made him known. 19 And this was John’s testimony when the Jews of Jerusalem sent priests and Levites to ask him, “Who are you?” 20 He did not refuse to confess, but openly declared, “I am not the Christ.” 21 They asked him, "What then? Are you Elijah?" He said, "I am not." "Are you the prophet?" He answered, "No." 22 They said therefore to him, "Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?" 23 John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet: “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’” 24 Then the Pharisees who had been sent 25 They asked him, "Why then do you baptize, if you are not the Christ nor Elijah nor the prophet?" 26 “I baptize with water,” John replied, “but among you stands One you do not know. 27 He is the One who comes after me, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.” 28 This happened in Bethany on the other side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing. 29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, "Look, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! 30 This is He of whom I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because He was before me.’

They all answered, “Crucify Him!” 23 "Why, what crime has he committed?" asked Pilate. But they kept on furiously shouting, "Let him be crucified!" 24 When Pilate saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but that instead a riot was breaking out, he took water and washed his hands before the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “You shall bear the responsibility.” 25 All the people answered, "May his blood be on us, and on our children."

Crucify him!" 22 A third time he appealed to them: "Why, what crime has the man committed? I have discovered in him nothing that deserves death. I will therefore give him a light punishment and release him." 23 But they kept shouting the more insistently, demanding that he should be crucified, and their shouts won the day.

1 After Jesus had said this, he looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, so that the Son may glorify you. 2 For You granted Him authority over all humanity, so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him. 3 Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent. 4 I am honoring you [while] on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world existed.

Acts 2:23-24

23 He was handed over by God’s set plan and foreknowledge, and you, by the hands of the lawless, put Him to death by nailing Him to the cross. 24 But God raised Him from the dead, releasing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for Him to be held in its clutches.

20 which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, 21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. 22 And he subordinated all things under his feet, and appointed him head over all things for the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills everything in every way.

Hebrews 11:9-16

9 By faith he dwelt in the promised land as a stranger in a foreign country. He lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 11 By faith Sarah, even though she was barren and beyond the opportune age, was enabled to conceive a child, because she considered Him faithful who had promised. 12 And so from one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore. 13 All these people died in faith, without having received the things they were promised. However, they saw them and welcomed them from afar. And they acknowledged that they were strangers and exiles on the earth. 14 Those who say such things show that they are seeking a country of their own. 15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 16 Instead, they were longing for a better country, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

Psalms 22:1-30

1 My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? 2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not answer; and in the night, and am not silent. 3 Yet you are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. 4 In You our fathers trusted; They trusted, and You delivered them." 5 They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed. 6 But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by humankind and despised by people. 7 All who see me deride me; they bust out the lip, they shake the head, 8 "He trusts in the LORD; let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him." 9 But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust while at my mother's breasts. 10 On you I was cast from the womb. From my mother's belly you have been my God. 11 Don’t be far from me, for trouble is near. For there is no one to help. 12 Many bulls have surrounded me, strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me. 13 they gape on me with their mouths as a tearing and a roaring lion. 14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax; it is melted within me. 15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth; and you have brought me into the dust of death. 16 For dogs have surrounded me; a gang of evil-doers has encircled me. They pierced my hands and my feet. 17 I can count all my bones. People stare and gloat over me. 18 They divide My garments among them and cast lots for My clothing. 19 But You, O LORD, be not far off; O My Strength, hurry to help Me! 20 Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog. 21 Save me from the mouth of the lion, and from the horns of the wild oxen answer me. 22 I will declare your name to my brothers. Among the assembly, I will praise you. 23 You who fear the LORD, praise him. All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him. Revere him, all you descendants of Israel. 24 For He has not despised nor hated the affliction of the afflicted; and He has not hidden His face from him, but when he cried to Him, He heard. 25 From you comes my praise in the great assembly. I will pay my vows before those who fear him. 26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek the LORD shall praise Him; your heart shall live forever. 27 All the limits of the earth shall remember and return to the LORD, And all the families of the nations shall bow down before Him." 28 Because the kingship belongs to the LORD, and he rules over the nations. 29 All the fat ones of the earth will eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust will bow before him, even he who cannot keep his soul alive. 30 Posterity shall serve him. Future generations shall be told about the Lord.

Psalms 69:1-36

1 Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck. 2 I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold. I have come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me. 3 I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail looking for my God. 4 Those who hate me without cause are more than the hairs of my head. My persecutors are mighty, and they want to destroy me. Must I be forced to return what I did not steal? 5 God, you know my sins, and my guilt is not hidden from you. 6 Let those who wait for you not be put to shame because of me, O Sovereign LORD Almighty. Let those who seek you not be disgraced because of me, O God of Israel. 7 For I have suffered reproach for Your sake; shame has covered my face. 8 I am a stranger to my brothers, a foreigner to my mother's sons. 9 Zeal for your house consumes me, and the mockeries of those who insult you fall on me. 10 I weep and fast, and I am mocked for it. 11 When I put on the clothing of grief, they said evil of me. 12 Those who sit at the gate talk of me and I am the song of the drunkards. 13 But as for me, my prayer is to You, O LORD, at a time of favor, O God! in the plentitude of Your mercy answer me, in the truth of Your salvation. 14 Rescue me from the mud and do not let me sink. Rescue me from those who hate me, and from the deep waters. 15 Do not let the torrent of waters flood over me, or the deep swallow me, or the pit close its mouth over me. 16 Answer me, O LORD, because your loyal love is good; according to your abundant mercies, turn to me, 17 Do not hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily. 18 Draw near and redeem me; ransom me because of my enemies. 19 You know my reproach and my shame, and my dishonor; my enemies are all before You. 20 Reproach hath broken my heart, and I am overwhelmed: and I looked for sympathy, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. 21 They gave me also gall for my food, and made me drink vinegar for my thirst. 22 Let their table before them become a snare, may it become a retribution and a trap. 23 Let their eyes be darkened, so that they cannot see. Let their backs be continually bent. 24 Pour out Your wrath on them; and let the glow of Your anger overtake them. 25 Let their palace be desolate, and let no one dwell in their tents. 26 For they persecute those whom you have struck, and they brag about the pain of those you have wounded. 27 Charge them with crime upon crime. Do not let them come into your righteousness. 28 Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous. 29 But I am in pain and distress. Let your salvation, God, protect me. 30 I will praise the name of God in song, and magnify him with thanksgiving. 31 That will please the LORD more than oxen and bulls with horns and hooves. 32 The humble have seen and are glad; you who seek God, your heart shall live. 33 For the LORD hears the needy and does not despise his captive people. 34 Let heavens and earth praise him, the seas and all that moves in them, 35 For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah. They shall settle there, and own it. 36 The seed also of his servants will inherit it and those who love his name will dwell in it.

Isaiah 53:1-12

1 Who has believed our message, and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? 2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him. Nothing in his appearance will make us desire him. 3 He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised, and we esteemed him not 4 He took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows. We considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; each one has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he did not open his mouth. 8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who [among them] considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living? for the transgression of my people was he stricken 9 He made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, although he had done no violence, and there was no deceit in his mouth. 10 It was the LORD's will to allow him to be crushed. Even though the LORD makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the LORD will prosper in his hand. 11 After his suffering he will see the light and be satisfied. By his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many. He will bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great and he will divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors. Yet he bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.

Psalms 32:1-5

1 {Of David. Instruction.} Blessed is he [whose] transgression is forgiven, [whose] sin is covered! 2 Blessed is the man to whom LORD does not impute sin, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. 3 When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. 4 For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah. 5 I acknowledged my sin to you and I did not hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to the LORD and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

The kings of Sheba and Seba will offer gifts. 11 Yes, all kings will bow down before him. All nations will serve him. 12 For he will deliver the needy who crieth, and the afflicted, who hath no helper; 13 He will have pity on the poor and needy, he will save the needy persons. 14 He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his sight: 15 And he shall live, and the gold of Sheba shall be given to him. Men shall pray for him continually. He shall bless him all day long. 16 Abundance of grain shall be throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field. 17 His name endures forever, his name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed in him, all nations will call him blessed. 18 Praise be to the LORD God, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. 19 Blessed be to his glorious name forever. May the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen!

1 Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things. His right hand, and his holy arm, have worked salvation for him. 2 the LORD has made his salvation known. He has uncovered his righteousness for the nations to see. 3 He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. 4 Shout joyfully to the LORD all the earth. Break out into joyful singing, and make music. 5 Make melody to the LORD with the harp, With the harp and the sound of melody." 6 With trumpets and the sound of a ram's horn shout in the presence of the LORD, the king! 7 Let the sea roar, and the fullness of it; the world, and those who live in it. 8 Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing for joy together. 9 Let them sing before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

1 This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. 2 In the last days the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established as the highest of the mountains and exalted above the hills. All the nations will stream to it. 3 Then many people will come and say: "Let us go to the mountain of the LORD, to the House of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways so that we may live by them." The law will go out from Zion. The word of the LORD will go out from Jerusalem.

My highways will be raised up. 12 Lo, these shall come from far: and, lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim 13 Shout for joy, O heavens! Rejoice, O earth! Break into joyful shouting, O mountains! For the LORD has comforted his people. He will have compassion on his afflicted. 14 But Zion said, "The LORD has forsaken me, and the Lord has forgotten me." 15 Can a woman forget her nursing child? Will she have no compassion on the child from her womb? Although mothers forget, I will not forget you. 16 Behold, I have carved you on the palms of My hands; your walls are forever before Me. 17 Your children hasten; your destroyers and those who laid you waste depart from you. 18 Lift up your eyes all around and see; they all gather and come to you. As I live, says the LORD, you shall surely wear them as an ornament, and bind them on as a bride. 19 "Even if you are destroyed and demolished, and your land is in ruins, you will be too crowed for your people. Those who devoured you will be long gone. 20 The children of your bereavement will say in your ears, 'This place is too small for me. Give me a place to live in.' 21 Then you will say in your heart, "Who has borne me these?" And, "I was bereaved and barren, exiled and thrust away; so who raised these? Look at me! I was left alone; ⌊where have these come from⌋?" 22 Thus saith the Lord God: Behold I will lift up my hand to the Gentiles, and will set up my standard to the people. And they shall bring thy sons in their arms, and carry thy daughters upon their shoulders.

Isaiah 52:1-10

1 Awake, awake, O Zion, put on your strength. Put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again. 2 Shake off your dust! Rise up and sit enthroned, O Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, O captive Daughter of Zion. 3 For this is what the LORD says: "You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed." 4 The Sovereign LORD says: "At first my people went down to Egypt to live as aliens. Now Assyria has oppressed them." 5 "What do I have here?" Declares the LORD. "For my people have been taken away for nothing. Those who rule them mock," declares the LORD. "And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed. 6 "Therefore my people will all know my name! In that day they will know that it is I who foretold it. Yes, it is I!" 7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” 8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices. Together they shout for joy. They will see it with their own eyes when the LORD returns to Zion. 9 Burst into songs of joy together, you ruins of Jerusalem! the LORD has comforted his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem. 10 the LORD hath made bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

More are the children of the desolate woman than of the woman, who has a husband," proclaims the LORD. 2 "Enlarge the place of your tent. Stretch your tent curtains wide and do not hold back. Lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes. 3 "For you will spread out to the right and to the left. Your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities. 4 "Do not be afraid. You will not suffer shame. Do not fear disgrace. You will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood." 5 "For your Maker is your husband. the LORD Almighty is his name! The Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer. He is called the God of all the earth. 6 "the LORD will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit; a wife, who married young, only to be rejected, says your God. 7 "For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back. 8 "In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you," says the LORD your Redeemer. 9 "To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again. 10 "Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD. "I have compassion on you." 11 "O afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted, I will build you with stones of turquoise, your foundations with sapphires. 12 "I will make your battlements of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones. 13 And all your sons will be taught of the LORD and great will be the peace of your sons. 14 "You will be established in righteousness. Tyranny will be far from you. You will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed and it will not come near you.

Isaiah 60:1-22

1 Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. 2 For look! darkness shall cover the earth, and thick darkness the peoples, but the LORD will rise on you, and his glory will appear over you. 3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. 4 "Look up, look around, and watch. All of your people assemble and come to you. Your sons come from far away. Your daughters are carried in their arms. 5 "Then you will see this and rejoice. Your heart will shake with joy. The riches of the sea will be brought to you. The wealth of the nations will come to you. 6 »Many camels will cover your land, young camels from Midian and Ephah. Everyone from Sheba will come. They will bring gold and incense. They will sing the praises of the LORD. 7 All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered together to you. The rams of Nebaioth will serve you. They will be accepted as offerings on my altar; and I will beautify my glorious house. 8 "Who are these people that fly by like clouds and like doves to their nests? 9 Surely the islands shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring your sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, for the name of the LORD your God, and for the Holy One of Israel, because he has glorified you. 10 “Foreigners will build up your walls, and their kings will serve you: for in my wrath I struck you, but in my favor I have had mercy on you. 11 "Your gates will always be open. They will never be closed day or night so that people may bring you the wealth of the nations. Even their kings are led as prisoners. 12 For that nation and kingdom that will not serve you will perish. Yes, those nations will be utterly wasted. 13 The glory of Lebanon shall come to you: the juniper, the box tree, and the cypress together, to beautify the place of My sanctuary; yea, I will glorify the place of My feet. 14 "The sons of those who oppress you will bow in front of you. All who loathe you will bow at your feet. They will call you the city of the LORD, Zion, the city of the Holy One of Israel. 15 Although you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through you, I will make you an eternal excellence, a joy of many generations. 16 You will also drink the milk of the nations, and will nurse from royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the LORD, am your Savior, your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. 17 For bronze I will bring gold; for iron I will bring silver; for wood, bronze, and for stones, iron. I will also make peace your governor, and righteousness your ruler. 18 Violence will no more be heard in your land, desolation nor destruction within your borders, but you will call your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. 19 The sun will be no more your light by day; nor will the brightness of the moon give light to you, but the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. 20 Your sun will no more go down, nor your moon withdraw; for the LORD will be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning will be ended. 21 "Then all your people will be righteous and they will possess the land everlastingly. They will be the seedlings I have planted, the honored work of my hands. 22 The little one shall become a thousand, and the smallest a mighty nation: I, the LORD, will hasten it in its time.

The sound of weeping and of crying will be heard in it no more." 20 "Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years. He who dies at a hundred will be thought a mere youth. The sinner who reaches a hundred will be considered accursed. 21 "They will build houses and dwell in them. They will plant vineyards and eat their fruit. 22 "No longer will they build houses and others live in them, or plant and others eat. For as the days of a tree, so will be the days of my people. My chosen ones will long enjoy the works of their hands. 23 "They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune. For they will be a people blessed by the LORD, they and their descendants with them. 24 "Before they call I will answer! While they are still speaking I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb will feed together and the lion will eat straw like the ox and dust will be the serpent's food. They will not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, says the LORD.

Isaiah 66:10-14

10 "Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn over her; 11 "You will nurse and be satisfied from her comforting breasts. You will nurse and be satisfied at her full breasts." 12 This is what the LORD says: "I will offer you peace like a river and the wealth of the nations like an overflowing stream. You will nurse and be carried in Jerusalem's arms and cuddled on her knees. 13 "As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you. You will be comforted in Jerusalem." 14 When you see it, your heart will rejoice and you will flourish like new grass. The power of the LORD will be made known to his servants, but he will condemn his enemies.

Isaiah 66:18-22

18 And I know their works and their imagination. I am going to gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory. 19 "I will set up a sign among them and send some of their survivors to the nations: to Tarshish, Put and Lud, Meshech, Rosh, Tubal, Javan, and to the distant coastlands who have not heard of my fame or seen my glory. They will tell about my glory among the nations. 20 They will bring all your brothers from every nation like a grain offering to the LORD. They will come on horses, in chariots, in wagons, on mules and camels to my holy mountain, Jerusalem, declares the LORD. They will come like the people of Israel who bring their grain offerings in clean dishes to the LORD’s temple. 21 And I will also take some of them for myself as priests and Levites," says the LORD. 22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, will remain before me, says the LORD, so will your seed and your name remain.

Jeremiah 31:18-20

18 “I have surely heard Ephraim grieving thus, 'You have chastised me, and I was chastised, as an untrained calf. Turn me, and I will be turned; for you are the LORD my God. 19 Indeed, after I turned away, then I repented. And after I came to understand, I slapped my forehead. I was both ashamed and humiliated because I bear the disgrace of my youth.'" 20 "Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a darling child? Indeed, as often as I've spoken about him, I surely still remember him. Therefore I deeply yearn for him. I'll surely have great compassion on him," declares the LORD.

My sleep had been pleasant.

I will make them respect me so that they will never turn away from me. 41 I'll rejoice over them to do good for them, and I'll faithfully plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.

Jeremiah 33:15-26

15 In those days and at that time I'll cause a righteous Branch to spring up for David, and he will uphold justice and righteousness in the land. 16 In those days Judah will be saved, and Jerusalem will dwell safely. This is the name by which she will be called: the LORD our righteousness.” 17 For this is what the LORD says: 'David will never be without a man sitting on the throne of the house of Israel, 18 nor shall the priests the Levites lack a man before Me to offer burnt offerings, and to kindle grain offerings, and to do sacrifice forever. 19 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: 20 "Thus says the LORD: 'If you could break my covenant with the day, and my covenant with the night, so that day and night would not come at their time, 21 Also my covenant with David my servant may be made void, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne, and with the Levites and priests my ministers. 22 "'I will increase the descendants of my servant David and the Levites who serve me in the same way as the stars of heaven that cannot be counted and the sand on the seashore that cannot be measured.'" 23 The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah: 24 "Haven't you noticed what these people have been saying? 'The LORD rejected the two families that he had chosen!' They have contempt for my people and no longer consider them a nation. 25 This is what the LORD says: 'If I had not established my covenant for day and night and the laws that govern the heavens and earth, 26 then I might reject the descendants of Jacob and my servant David by not taking some of his descendants as rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Indeed, I'll restore their fortunes, and I'll have compassion on them.'"

Ezekiel 34:23-31

23 "'I will place one shepherd over them, my servant David. He will take care of them. And they shall dwell safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods. 26 And I will make them a blessing round about my hill: and I will send down the rain in its season, there shall be showers of blessing. 27 The tree of the field will yield its fruit, and the earth will yield its increase, and they will be secure in their land. Then they will know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bars of their yoke, and have delivered them out of the hand of those who made slaves of them. 28 "'"They will no longer be prey to the nations. Wild animals will no longer eat them. They will live safely, and no one will frighten them. 29 And I will raise for them a garden plot of renown, and they will no longer be victims of famine in the land, and they will not bear any more the insult of the nations. 30 They will know that I, the LORD, their God am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people, says the Sovereign LORD. 31 You my sheep, the sheep of my pasture, are men, and I am your God,' says the Sovereign LORD.”

I will gather them from everywhere and bring them to their own land. 22 I will form them into one nation in the land on the mountains of Israel. One king will rule all of them. They will no longer be two nations or be divided into two kingdoms. 23 They will no longer dishonor themselves with their idols, with their detestable things, or with their rebellious acts. I will forgive them for all the times they turned away from me and sinned. I will cleanse them so that they will be my people, and I will be their God. 24 And my servant David will be king over them and they all will have one shepherd. They will also walk in my ordinances and observe my statutes and do them. 25 "'"They will live in the land that I gave my servant Jacob, the land where their ancestors lived. They, their children, and their grandchildren will live in it for a very long time. My servant David will be their prince for a very long time. 26 Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them. It will be an everlasting covenant with them. I will place them, multiply them, and will set my sanctuary among them forever more. 27 "'"My dwelling place will be with them. But I have gathered them to their own land and have not left any of them there. 29 And I will not any more hide My face from them, for I have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.

Then Jerusalem will be holy, and no foreigners will invade her again. 18 It will happen in that day, that the mountains will drop down sweet wine, the hills will flow with milk, all the brooks of Judah will flow with waters, and a fountain will flow out from the LORD's house, and will water the valley of Shittim. 19 Egypt will be desolate, and Edom will be a desert, because of violence against the people of Judah since they shed innocent blood in their land. 20 But Judah will be inhabited forever, and Jerusalem for all generations. 21 And I will pardon their bloodguilt, which I have not pardoned, for the LORD dwells in Zion."

They will plant vineyards and drink the wine from them. They will plant gardens and eat the fruit from them. 15 I will plant the people of Israel in their own land, never again to be torn out of their land that I gave them," says the LORD your God.

Micah 7:18-19

18 Who is a God like You, who pardons iniquity and passes by the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? You will throw all our sins into the depths of the sea.

Zephaniah 3:14-20

14 Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. 15 the LORD has turned off your judgments; He has turned away your enemy. the LORD, the King of Israel, is in your midst; you shall not fear evil any more. 16 In that day it will be said to Jerusalem, Do not fear, O Zion. Do not let your hands be slack. 17 The LORD your God in the midst of you is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over you with joy; he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing. 18 I will remove those who grieve about the appointed feasts from you. They are a burden and a reproach to you. 19 Behold, at that time I will deal with all that afflict you: and I will save her that is lame, and gather those that were driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. 20 At that time I will bring you in, and at that time I will gather you; for I will give you honor and praise among all the peoples of the earth, when I restore your fortunes before your eyes, says the LORD.

30 At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the tribes of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 31 And He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. 32 Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and sprout leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So also, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. 36 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Mark 13:30-37

30 Assuredly I tell you that this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things happen. 31 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. 32 Now no one knows anything about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, not even the Son, but only the Father. 33 Take heed, watch; for you do not know when the time will come. 34 It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to be on the watch. 35 Therefore keep watch, because you do not know when the master of the house will return—whether in the evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or in the morning. 36 lest he come suddenly, and find you sleeping. 37 What I say to you, I say to all, Watch.

Do not let me see this great fire anymore, or I will die. 17 "the LORD said to me: 'They have spoken well. 18 I will raise them up a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put My words in his mouth and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him. 19 But if someone will not listen to those words that the prophet speaks in my name, I will hold him accountable.

Let us put up three shelters: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” (He did not know what he was saying.) 34 While Peter was speaking, a cloud appeared and enveloped them, and they were afraid as they entered the cloud. 35 And a voice came from the cloud, saying, “This is My Son, whom I have chosen; listen to Him!”

These are the very words that testify about Me, 40 yet you refuse to come to Me to have life. 41 I do not accept glory from men, 42 but I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves. 43 I have come in my Father's name, and you refuse to accept me. If someone else comes in his own name you will accept him. 44 How can you believe if you accept glory from one another, yet do not seek the glory that comes from the only God? 45 Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father. Hebrews 2:9-17

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. 10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering. 11 For he who makes holy and they who are made holy are all of one. For this cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers, 12 and say, "I will tell your name to my brothers, In the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise"; 13 And again, "I will put my trust in him." And again, "Here am I, and the children God has given me." 14 Therefore, since the children have flesh and blood, He too shared in their humanity, so that by His death He might destroy him who holds the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. 16 For surely it is not the angels He helps, but the descendants of Abraham. 17 So He had to be made like His brothers in every way, that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, in order to make atonement for the sins of the people.

My son, you have risen up from the prey; he stoops, he crouches like a lion; and like a lioness, who can rouse him? 10 The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until he comes to whom it belongs. To him will the obedience of the peoples be. 11 "He will tie his donkey to a grapevine, his colt to the best vine. He will wash his clothes in wine, his garments in the blood of grapes. 12 "His eyes are darker than wine. His teeth are whiter than milk. 13 Zebulun shall live at the sea shore. And he shall be a haven for ships, and his border beside Sidon. 14 "Issachar is a strong donkey, lying down between the saddlebags. 15 "When he sees that his resting place is good and that the land is pleasant, he will bend his back to the burden and will become a slave laborer. 16 Dan will be the judge of his people, as one of the tribes of Israel. 17 Dan will be a serpent on the trail, an adder in the path, that bites the horse's heels, so that his rider falls backward. 18 I waited for thy deliverance, the LORD. 19 "Gad will be attacked by a band of raiders. He will strike back at their heels. 20 "Asher's food will be rich. He will provide delicacies fit for a king. 21 "Naphtali is a doe set free, who bears beautiful fawns. 22 "Joseph is a fruitful vine, a fruitful vine by a spring. His branches run over the wall. 23 The archers have fiercely attacked him, and shot at him, and hated him: 24 »His bow stayed steady! His arms remained limber because of the help of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the name of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel, 25 even by the God of your father, who will help you, by the Almighty, who will bless you, with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lies below, blessings of the breasts, and of the womb. 26 »The blessings of your father are greater than the blessings of the oldest mountains and the riches of the ancient hills. May these blessings rest on the head of Joseph, on the crown of the prince among his brothers. 27 “Benjamin is a ravenous wolf. In the morning he will devour the prey. At evening he will divide the plunder.” 28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father said to them when he blessed them, each according to their blessing. 29 And he commanded them and said to them I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me beside my fathers, at the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite, 30 In the rock in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre in the land of Canaan, which Abraham got from Ephron the Hittite, to be his resting-place. 31 »Abraham and his wife Sarah are buried there. Isaac and his wife Rebekah are buried there. I also buried Leah there. 32 "The field and the cave in it were bought from the Hittites." 33 When Jacob finished instructing his sons he drew his feet up to the bed. Then he took his last breath and was gathered to his people.

For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” 14 He redeemed us so that the blessing promised to Abraham would come to the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
