¹ The heavens and the earth were finished, and all their vast array.

¹ In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.

¹⁰ And God called the dry land Earth, and the gatherings of the waters he called Seas, and God saw that it was good.

⁴ ¶ These are the origins of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens

¹¹ For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them, and he rested on the seventh day. Therefore, the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

¹⁷ It is a sign between me and the sons of Israel for ever; for in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and was refreshed.

¹⁹ and lest having looked up to the sky, and having seen the sun and the moon and the stars, and all the heavenly bodies, you should go astray and worship them, and serve them, which the Lord your God has distributed to all the nations under heaven.

³ By becoming a servant of other gods and worshipping them or the sun or the moon or all the stars of heaven, against my orders;

¹⁵ And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, saying, O LORD God of Israel, who dwellest above the cherubim, thou alone art the God unto all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.

³ He rebuilt the high places that his father Hezekiah had destroyed. He erected altars for Baal, crafted an Asherah, just as King Ahab of Israel had done, and worshipped and served the stars of heaven. ⁴ And he built altars in the house of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, In Jerusalem I will put My name. ⁵ He built altars for all the army of the sky in the two courts of the LORD’s house.

¹² »Praise the LORD the God of Israel, Creator of heaven and earth! He has given King David a wise son, full of understanding and skill. He now plans to build a Temple for the LORD and a palace for himself.

⁶ "You alone are the LORD. You alone have made the heavens, the heavens of the heavens, and all of their army, the earth and all that is in it, the waters and all that is in them. You give life to all of them, and the army of the heavens worship you.

⁹ "Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?

⁶ By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, and all the hosts of them by the breath of his mouth.

⁹ For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm.

¹¹ The heavens are Yours, and the earth is Yours; You have founded the world, and the fullness of it. ¹² You have created the north and the south. Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name. ¹³ Yours is an arm with mastery; Your hand is strong; Your right hand is exalted.

² He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.

⁵ to Him who by understanding made the heavens; for His grace endures forever: ⁶ to Him who spread out the earth above the waters; for His grace endures forever: ⁷ Who made the great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever. ⁸ the sun to rule by day; for His grace endures forever;

⁶ who made heaven and earth, the sea and all that is in them, the one who keeps faith forever,

⁴ And all the powers of the heavens shall melt, and the sky shall be rolled up like a scroll; and all the stars shall fall like leaves from a vine, and as leaves fall from a fig tree.

²⁶ "Lift your eyes and look to the heavens. Who created all these? The being that brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name created all these! Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. ²⁷ "'Why do you say, O Jacob, and complain, O Israel: 'My way is hidden from the LORD! My God disregards my cause?' ²⁸ "Do you not know? Have you not heard? the LORD IS THE EVERLASTING GOD, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and no one can measure (find out) his understanding.

⁵ Thus says God, the LORD, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it.

¹² I myself made the earth, and I created humankind upon it. I, my hands, stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.

¹⁸ the LORD says: "Who created the heavens? He who is God. He fashioned and made the earth. He founded it and he did not create it to be empty but formed it to be inhabited." He says: "I am the LORD, and there is no other.

¹³ Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has spread out the heavens. when I call to them, they stand up together.

⁹ "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

¹⁷ For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth and the former things will not be remembered, nor come into mind.

² They'll be spread out to the sun, the moon, and all the stars of the heavens, which they loved and served, and which they followed, consulted, and worshiped. Their bones won't be collected, nor will they be buried. They'll be like dung on the surface of the ground.

¹² He who made the earth by his power, and established the world by his wisdom; also stretched out the heavens by his understanding.

¹⁶ The Portion of Jacob is not like them; for He is the Maker of all things; and Israel is the rod of His inheritance. the LORD Almighty is His name.

¹ An oracle. The word of the LORD concerning Israel. The LORD, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:

¹³ Suddenly a multitude of the Heavenly Army appeared with the angel, praising God by saying,

²⁴ And when they heard this, they lifted their voices to God together and said, "Sovereign Lord, it is you who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them,

⁴² But God turned, and gave them over to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets, 'Did you offer to me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?

³ Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said: “So I swore on oath in my anger, ‘They shall never enter My rest.’” And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world.
