1 Jesus also said to His disciples, “There was a rich man whose manager was accused of wasting his possessions. 2 So he called him in to ask, ‘What is this I hear about you? Turn in an account of your management, for you cannot be manager any longer.’ 3 The manager said to himself, ‘What shall I do, now that my master is taking away my position? I am too weak to dig and too ashamed to beg. 4 I know what I will do, so that after my removal from management, people will welcome me into their homes...’ 5 " So he called for each of his master's debtors. He asked the first, 'How much do you owe my master?' 6 "'A hundred measures of oil,' he answered. "He said to him, 'Take your bill and sit down quickly and write fifty." 7 Then he asked another, ‘And how much do you owe?’ ‘A hundred measures of wheat.’ he replied. ‘Take your bill and write eighty,’ he told him. 8 The master commended the dishonest manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the sons of this age are more shrewd in dealing with their own kind than are the sons of light. 9 I tell you, use worldly wealth to make friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, they will welcome you into eternal dwellings. 10 Whoever is faithful with very little will also be faithful with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. 11 So if you have proved untrustworthy in using your ill-gotten wealth, who will trust you with true riches? 12 And if you have not been trustworthy with what belongs to someone else, who will give you something of your own? 13 No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” 14 The Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all of this and were scoffing at Jesus. 15 So He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves before men, but God knows your hearts. For what is prized among men is detestable before God. 16 The Law and the Prophets were proclaimed until John. Since that time, the gospel of the kingdom of God is being preached, and everyone is forcing his way into it. 17 But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for a single stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law. 18 Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery, and he who marries a divorced woman commits adultery. 19 "There was once a rich man, who used to dress in purple and fine linen, and to live in luxury every day. 20 Near his gateway there had been laid a beggar named Lazarus, who was covered with sores, 21 and longing to be fed from what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 Now it happened that the poor man died, and the angels carried him into AbrahamÆs bosom; and the rich man also died and was buried. 23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham from afar, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he cried out, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue. For I am in agony in this fire.’ 25 But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and Lazarus received evil things; but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.' 27 "The rich man said, 'Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house 28 for I have five brothers; let him warn them so that they will not also come to this place of torture.' 29 Abraham answered, 'They have Moses and the prophets; let them listen to them.' 30 And he said, 'No, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent!' 31 He said to him, 'If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced, not even if one rose from the dead."

See, I have gained five more.’ 21 His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Enter into the joy of your master!’ 22 Then the servant who had received two talents also came and said, ‘Master, you entrusted me with two talents. Enter into the joy of your master!’ 24 Then he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed: 25 So in my fear, I went and hid your talent in the ground. See, you have what belongs to you.’ 26 But his master answered him, 'You wicked and lazy servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Then you should have deposited my money with the bankers, and on my return I would have received it back with interest. 28 "'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents. 29 For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Just as you used to offer the parts of your body in slavery to impurity and to escalating wickedness, so now offer them in slavery to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 For when you were the slaves of sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What fruit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? The outcome of those things is death. 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life.

These are the very words that testify about Me, 40 yet you refuse to come to Me to have life. 41 I do not accept glory from men, 42 but I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves. 43 I have come in my Father's name, and you refuse to accept me. If someone else comes in his own name you will accept him. 44 How can you believe if you accept glory from one another, yet do not seek the glory that comes from the only God? 45 Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, in whom you have put your hope. 46 If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. 47 But since you do not believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?”

2 Timothy 3:15-17

15 From infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.

2 Peter 1:19-21

19 And we have the prophetic word made more sure, and you will do well to pay attention to this as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture comes from the prophet’s own interpretation. 21 for prophecy never came by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

Genesis 9:27

27 "May God extend the territory of Japheth. And may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be his slave."

John 11:43-53

43 When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!" 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet bound with grave clothes, and his face wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, "Unbind him, and let him go." 45 Therefore many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in Him. 46 But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. 47 whereupon the high priests and the Pharisees called a meeting of the Sanhedrin. "Whatever is to be done?" they said. "The fellow is performing a number of Signs. 48 If we let Him go on like this, everyone will believe in Him, and then the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.” 49 But one of them, named Caiaphas, who was high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all! 50 You do not realize that it is better for you that one man die for the people than that the whole nation perish.” 51 He did not say this on his own, but being high priest that year he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation, 52 and not only for the nation, but also for the scattered children of God, to gather them together into one. 53 So from that day on they plotted to kill Him.

John 12:10-11

2 Corinthians 5:11

11 Therefore, since we know what it means to fear the Lord, we try to persuade men. What we are is clear to God, and I hope it is clear to your conscience as well.
