¹ Praise the LORD! Praise God in his holy place. Praise him in his mighty heavens. ² Praise him for his mighty acts. Praise him for his immense greatness. ³ Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet! Praise him with harp and lyre! ⁴ Praise him with tambourine and dancing; praise him with strings and flute. ⁵ Praise him with loud cymbals! Praise him with resounding cymbals! ⁶ Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD.

⁶ Then God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters, separating water from water!" ⁷ So God made the expanse, separating the water beneath the expanse from the water above it. And so it was. ⁸ God called the expanse sky. There was evening and there was morning, a second day.

¹ For the conclusion. A Psalm by David. The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament proclaimeth the work of his hands.

⁹ The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and strippeth the forests bare; and in His temple all say: 'Glory.'

¹³ I will come to your house with burnt offerings. I will fulfill my vows to you ¹⁴ which my lips promised, and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress. ¹⁵ I will offer burnt sacrifices of fatlings to You, with the incense of rams; I will offer bulls with goats. Selah. ¹⁶ Come and listen, all of you who fear God, and I will tell you what he did for me.

¹⁹ For he looketh down from his sanctuary; out of the heaven doth the LORD behold the earth,

¹⁸ I will fulfill my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people, ¹⁹ in the courts of the house of the LORD; in your midst, O Jerusalem. Praise the LORD!

¹⁹ Open for me the gates of righteousness, and I will go in at them and give thanks to the Lord. ²⁰ This is the gate of the LORD, through which the righteous will enter.

² Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and praise the LORD.

¹ Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints.

²² Something like a dome was spread over the heads of the living creatures. It looked like dazzling crystal. ²³ And under the firmament their wings were stretching out flapping, the other to the other; to each two covering their bodies. ²⁴ When the creatures moved I heard the sound of their wings. The sound was like the noise of rushing water. It was like the thunder (voice) of the Almighty. It was like the commotion in an army camp. When the creatures stood still, they lowered their wings. ²⁵ And there is a voice from the expanse over their heads when they stand and lower their wings. ²⁶ Above the dome over their heads was something that looked like a throne made of sapphire. On the throne was a figure that looked like a human.

¹ I looked at the dome over the heads of the angels. And I saw something that looked like a throne made of sapphire.

³ And those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.

²⁴ “Sovereign LORD, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your strong hand. For what god is there in heaven or in earth that can do works like yours, and mighty acts like yours?

⁴ For great is the LORD, and highly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods

³ Great is the LORD, and very worthy of praise, and his greatness is unsearchable.

⁵ I will speak of the glorious honor of Your majesty, and of Your wonderful works. ⁶ And they will speak of the power of your awesome deeds, and I will tell of your greatness.

¹² To make known to the children of men his mighty acts, and the glorious splendour of his kingdom.

¹⁷ Ah, Sovereign LORD! You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and stretched out arm. Nothing is too great for You. ¹⁸ showing loyal love to the thousands, and repaying the guilt of parents into the laps of their children after them. Powerful, great, mighty, his name is the LORD Almighty, ¹⁹ »You are great in counsel and mighty in deed. Your eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men. You give to everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds.

³ and they sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvelous are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the ages! ⁴ Who will not fear You, O Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy. All nations will come and worship before You, for Your righteous acts have been revealed.”

¹⁰ Also, when ye be merry in your feast days and in the first days of your months, ye shall blow the trumpets over your burnt sacrifices and peaceofferings, that it may be a remembrance of you before your God. I am the LORD your God."

²⁴ And Shebaniah, Jehoshaphat, Nethaneel, Amasai, Zechariah, Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, blew the trumpets before the ark of God; and Obededom and Jehiah were also doorkeepers for the ark.

²⁸ And all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the Lord with shouting, and with the sound of a horn, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, playing loudly on lutes and harps.

⁴² and with them Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those making a sound, and instruments of the song of God; and the sons of Jeduthun were at the gate.

² Give thanks unto the LORD with the harp; sing psalms unto him with the ten-stringed lute.

² Sing a song and strike the tambourine. Play the sweet sounding lyre with the harp. ³ Blow the ram's horn in the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.

³ To do this on a ten-stringed instrument with a melody on a harp.

⁵ Make melody to the LORD with the harp, With the harp and the sound of melody." ⁶ With trumpets and the sound of a ram's horn shout in the presence of the LORD, the king!

² Awake, harp and lyre. I will awake the dawn.

³ Let them praise his name with dancing. Let them make music to him with tambourines and lyres.

⁵ that whenever you hear the sound of the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp, pipe, and all kinds of music, you fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king has set up.

²⁰ Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron's sister, took a tambourine in her hand and went out with all the women behind her with tambourines and dancing.

¹² They sing to the tambourine and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the flute.

⁵ David and all the Israelites danced and sang with all their might to honor the LORD. They played harps, lyres, drums, tambourines, rattles, and cymbals.

⁸ David and all the people of Israel celebrated with all their might before God. They did it with songs and with harps, lyres, tambourines, cymbals and trumpets.

¹⁶ Then David ordered the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brothers as singers with instruments of song, musical instruments, stringed instruments, and cymbals, raising their voices for joy.

¹⁹ The musicians Heman, Asaph, and Ethan were appointed to play bronze cymbals.

⁵ Asaph was the head. Zechariah was second, then Jeiel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed Edom, and Jeiel with harps and lyres. Asaph played the cymbals.

¹ David and the commanders of the army set apart for the service some of the sons of Asaph and of Heman and of Jeduthun, who were to prophesy with lyres, harps and cymbals; and the number of those who performed their service was:

⁶ All these were under the direction of their father to sing in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, harps and lyres, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun and Heman under the direction of the king.

²² Praise the LORD, all you his works in all places of his dominion. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

¹⁰ All your works will give thanks to you, the LORD. Your saints will extol you.

²¹ My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD! All flesh will praise his holy name forever and ever.

⁷ Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures, and all depths. ⁸ lightning and hail, snow and clouds; stormy wind, fulfilling his word; ⁹ Ye mountains, and all hills, fruit trees, and all cedars; ¹⁰ wild animals and all livestock; small creatures and flying birds; ¹¹ Ye kings of the earth, and all nations; ye princes, and all judges of the earth;

¹³ And I heard every creature in heaven, and on earth, and under the earth, and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying: “To Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be praise and honor and glory and power forever and ever.”
