²¹ “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord’, will go into the kingdom of the heavens, but he who does the will of my Father who is in the heavens.

⁵⁰ For whoever does the will of my Father in the heavens, he is my brother and sister and mother.”

³¹ Which of the two did the will of the father?” They say to Him, “The first”. Jesus says to them: “Assuredly I say to you that the tax collectors and the prostitutes will go into the kingdom of God before you do.

³⁵ Because whoever does the will of God, the same is my brother, my sister, my mother.”

²¹ Because from within, out of men’s hearts, the evil designs proceed—adulteries, fornications, murders,

¹³ who were begotten, not by blood, nor by the desire of the flesh, nor by the will of a man, but by God .

¹⁷ If anyone wants to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is from God or whether I am speaking on my own.

² Of course not! How can we who died to sin keep on living in it?

¹¹ Thus you also, consider yourselves to be dead indeed to the sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁴ Therefore, my brothers, you also were put to death to the law through the body of the Christ so as to belong to another—to Him who was raised from the dead—so that we should produce fruit to God.

² Yes, stop conforming to the pattern of this world; rather, be transformed by the renewing of your mind so as to be able to experience the good and satisfying and perfect will of God.

⁷ You see, none of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.

¹⁵ and He died for all so that those who now live should no longer live for themselves but for the One who died for all and was raised again.

¹⁹ For through the law I died to the law in order to live to God. ²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ, so it is no longer I who live but Christ lives in me; what I now live in this body I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself in my place.

³ among whom all of us also used to conduct ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the flesh and of the senses, and were by nature children of wrath, just like the rest.

¹⁷ So then, I affirm and insist on this in the Lord: you must no longer carry on as the rest of the Gentiles do, in the futility of their mind,

²² that you put away, concerning your former way of life, the old man (that keeps on being corrupted by the deceitful desires), ²³ and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, ²⁴ and put on the new man, created in the likeness of God, in true righteousness and holiness.

⁷ Therefore do not be participants with them ⁸ —even though you were once darkness, you are now light in the Lord. Walk as children of light

¹⁷ That is why you must not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

⁶ not only when being watched, to please men, but as slaves of the Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

⁹ For this very reason, since the day we heard of it, we have not stopped praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the real knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,

⁷ in which things you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. ⁸ But now you must also rid yourselves of all these—anger, rage, malice, slander, obscene speech—out of your mouth.

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a slave of Christ, greets you; he is always wrestling in prayer for you, that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

¹⁸ Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

³ Because we ourselves were also foolish at one time, disobedient, being deceived, being enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, detestable, hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness of our Savior God and His love toward mankind manifested itself, ⁵ He saved us—not because of righteous deeds that we ourselves had done but according to His mercy, by means of the bath of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit, ⁶ whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, ⁷ so that having been justified by His grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. ⁸ The above is a trustworthy statement and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be concerned to take the lead in good works. These things are good and profitable for mankind.

²¹ equip you for every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

¹⁸ Having willed it, He brought us forth by a word of truth, so that we might be a sort of first fruits of His products.

¹⁴ as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts as in your ignorance,

¹ So then, laying aside all malignity —even all deceit and play-actings and envies, yes all malicious speaking—

¹⁴ or to governors, as being sent by him, both for punishment of evildoers and for praise of good-doers. ¹⁵ Because such is the will of God, to silence the ignorance of foolish people by doing good:

¹⁷ The world, with its craving, is passing away, but he who does God’s will remains forever.
