¹² But these, as unreasoning animals, creatures of instinct made to be caught and destroyed, spouting off in matters of which they are ignorant, will be destroyed by their own depravity,

²² But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: a dog returns to its own vomit and a bathed sow to wallowing in mud.

¹⁰ But these speak abusively against whatever they do not understand, while whatever they know by instinct, like unreasoning animals—by these things they are ruined.
