¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God .

²³ “Behold, the virgin will become pregnant and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel”, which being translated is, ‘God with us’.

² He Himself existed in the beginning with God.

¹⁴ So the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we observed His glory, glory of an Only-begotten, from the Father, full of grace and truth.

⁸ while to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; ‘Scepter of Uprightness’ is the scepter of Your kingdom. ⁹ You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness, therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of exultation beyond Your companions.” ¹⁰ Also: “You, LORD, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are works of Your hands; ¹¹ they will perish but You continue on—they will all grow old like a garment; ¹² You will roll them up like a cloak and they will be changed, while You stay the same and Your years will never end.” ¹³ On the other hand, to which of the angels did He ever say, “Sit on my right until I place your enemies as a stool under your feet”?

³ without father, without mother, without genealogy; having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but having been made like the Son of God —remains a priest continually.

⁸ Jesus Christ is Himself, yesterday and today and into the ages.

¹ Simon Peter, slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have obtained with us the same kind of faith in the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:

¹ That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have witnessed with our eyes, that which we contemplated and our hands handled with reference to the word of the Life ² —oh yes, the Life was manifested, and we have seen and testify and declare to you that eternal Life who was in the presence of the Father and was manifested to us—

⁷ actually there are three who bear witness

²⁰ We know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the genuine God, and the Life eternal.

² who gave witness to the word of God, even the testimony of Jesus Christ—to all that He saw, both the things that are and those that must happen after these.

⁸ “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “He who is and who was and who is coming, The Almighty.”

¹¹ saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”

¹⁷ And when I saw Him I fell at His feet as if dead. And He placed His right hand upon me saying, “Do not fear. I am the First and the Last,

⁸ “And to the messenger of the church in Smyrna write: These things says the First and the Last, who became dead and came to life:

¹³ and He was clothed with a robe that had been dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

⁶ Then He said to me, “I have become the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the one who thirsts I will give of the spring of the water of Life freely.

¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, beginning and end, the First and the Last.”
