⁴ That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

²⁶ Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. ²⁷ What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that publish ye upon the house-tops.

²⁹ And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant to thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,

²⁹ Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

⁴ And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit, and of power: ⁵ That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

¹⁴ Now thanks be to God, who always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savor of his knowledge by us in every place. ¹⁵ For we are to God a sweet savor of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: ¹⁶ To the one we are the savor of death to death; and to the other the savor of life to life. And who is sufficient for these things? ¹⁷ For we are not as many, who corrupt the word of God: but as from sincerity, but as from God, in the sight of God we speak in Christ.

¹² Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

¹ Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; ² But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty; not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but, by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. ³ But if our gospel is hid, it is hid to them that are lost: ⁴ In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine to them.

²⁰ For which I am an embassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

⁶ Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
