¹¹ The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.

⁵ And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues, and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily, I say to you, they have their reward.

²⁵ And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

⁹ But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. ¹⁰ For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. ¹¹ For he that said, Do not commit adultery; said also, Do not kill. Now if thou committest no adultery, yet if thou killest, thou art become a transgressor of the law. ¹² So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.

¹⁷ Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
