² Even as they delivered them to us, who from the beginning were eye-witnesses, and ministers of the word;

¹ The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ the Son of God;

¹⁴ The sower soweth the word.

⁴⁸ And ye are witnesses of these things.

²⁷ And ye also shall bear testimony, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

³ To whom also he showed himself alive after his passion, by many infallible proofs, being seen by them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

⁸ But ye shall receive power after the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses to me, both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.

²¹ Wherefore, of these men who accompanied us, all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, ²² Beginning from the baptism of John, to that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection.

²⁰ For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.

³⁹ And we are witnesses of all things which he did, both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree. ⁴⁰ Him God raised the third day, and showed him openly; ⁴¹ Not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

¹⁶ But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared to thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of the things which thou hast seen, and of the things in which I will appear to thee;

¹⁶ That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹ Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

⁷ Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effectual working of his power. ⁸ To me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

¹¹ And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; ¹² For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:

²³ If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which hath been preached to every creature which is under heaven; of which I Paul am made a minister; ²⁴ Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church: ²⁵ Of which I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God;

³ How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by them that heard him;

¹ The elders who are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:

¹⁶ For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eye-witnesses of his majesty.

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the word of life; ² (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and testify, and show to you that eternal life which was with the Father, and was manifested to us;) ³ That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
