¹ In the beginning existed the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

¹⁷ And he is before all things, and by him all things consist, And he is the head of his body the church;

³ Without father, without mother, without pedigree, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life, but being made like the son of God, remaineth a priest continually.

² The same was in the beginning with God.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.

¹⁸ No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

³⁰ I and the Father are one. ³¹ Then the Jews again took up stones to stone him. Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my Father; ³² for which of those works do ye stone me? ³³ The Jews answered him, We stone thee not for a good work, but for blasphemy, and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again I leave the world, and go to the Father.

⁵ And now, Father, glorify thou me with thyself, with the glory which I had with thee, before the world was.

²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God.

⁵ Whose are the fathers, and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is, over all, God, blessed for ever.

⁹ And to let all men see, what is the fellowship of the mystery, which was hidden from the beginning of the world by God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

⁶ Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God;

¹⁶ The mystery of godliness is the pillar and ground of the truth, and without controversy a great thing: God was manifested in the flesh, was justified by the spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up into glory.

¹³ Looking for the blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God, even our Saviour Jesus Christ.

⁸ But unto the Son, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of righteousness: ⁹ Thou hast loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. ¹⁰ And, Thou, Lord, hast in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of thy hands. ¹¹ They shall perish, but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; ¹² And as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. ¹³ But to which of the angels did he ever say, Sit at my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?

⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and to day and for ever.

¹ Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us, thro' the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ.

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have beheld, and our hands have handled of the word of life: ² For the life was manifested, and we have seen, and testify and declare to you the eternal life which was with the Father, and was manifested to us:

⁷ For there are three that testify on earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood, and these three agree in one.

²⁰ But we know that the Son of God is come; and he hath given us an understanding that we may know the true one; and we are in the true one, even in his Son Jesus Christ; this is the true God and eternal life.

² Who hath testified the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, all things which he saw.

⁸ Yea. Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who cometh, the Almighty.

¹¹ and heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet, Saying, what thou seest, write in a book and send to the seven churches, to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead: and he laid his right-hand upon me, saying, Fear not, I am the First and the Last,

⁸ And to the angel of the church of Smyrna write, These things saith the First and the Last, who was dead and is alive.

¹⁴ And to the angel of the church at Laodicea write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.

²³ saying, Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a Son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is, being interpreted, God with us.)

¹³ And he is clothed in a vesture dipt in blood, and his name is called, The Word of God.

⁶ And he said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him that thirsteth of the fountain of the water of life freely.

¹³ I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
