⁴⁹ Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honour my Father, and ye dishonour me.

¹⁵ And Jesus answering said to him, Suffer it now; for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. ¹⁶ And Jesus being baptized, went up straightway from the water, and lo the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and coming upon him. ¹⁷ And lo a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight.

²⁹ And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always the things that please him.

⁴ Jesus hearing it, said, This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified thereby.

²⁸ But for this cause I came, for this hour. Father, glorify thy name. Then a voice came from heaven, I have both glorified, and I will glorify it again.

³¹ Jesus saith, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified by him. ³² If God be glorified by him, God will also glorify him with himself, and will shortly glorify him.

¹³ And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified thro' the Son.

⁴ I have glorified thee on earth. I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

⁶ Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God; ⁷ Yet emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. ⁸ And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross. ⁹ Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and hath given him a name which is above every name, ¹⁰ That at the name of Jesus every knee might bow, of those in heaven, and those on earth, and those under the earth: ¹¹ And every tongue might confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord in the glory of God the Father.
