¹⁰ And have ye not read this scripture? The stone which the builders rejected, is become the head of the corner?

³ But he said to them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was hungry, and they that were with him?

⁴ And he answering said to them, Have ye not read, that he who made them, made them male and female from the beginning?

¹⁶ were sore displeased, And said to him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith to them, Yea: have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

⁴² Jesus saith to them, Have ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, is become the head of the corner? This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.

³¹ But touching the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying, I am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac,

²⁵ And he said to them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need and was hungry he and they that were with him?

²⁶ And touching the dead, that they rise, Have ye oot read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake to thim, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?

¹⁴ But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand) then let them that are in Judea flee to the mountains:

³³ As it is written, Behold I lay in Sion a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence: and every one that believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

³ And Jesus answering them said, Have ye not read, even this, what David did, when he hungered, and they that were with him?

¹⁷ And hearing it they said, God forbid. And he looked on them and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, this is become the head of the corner? ¹⁸ Whosoever shall fall on that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

¹¹ This is the stone which was set at nought by you builders, which is become the head of the corner. ¹² And there is salvation in no other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

²⁰ Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone, On whom all the building fitly framed together, ²¹ groweth into an holy temple in the Lord: ²² On whom ye also are built together, for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

⁷ Therefore to you who believe, he is precious: but to them who believe not, The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner. ⁸ And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, to them who stumble, not believing the word, whereunto also they were appointed.
