¹ To the angel of the church at Ephesus write, These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right-hand, that walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks. ² I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, that thou canst not bear evil men; and thou hast tried those who say they are apostles and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast patience, ³ and hast borne for my name's sake, and hast not fainted. ⁴ But I have against thee, that thou hast left thy first love. ⁵ Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works: if not, I come to thee, and will remove thy candlestick out of its place, unless thou repent. ⁶ But thou hast this, that thou hatest the works of the Nicola?tans, which I also hate. ⁷ He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of my God. ⁸ And to the angel of the church of Smyrna write, These things saith the First and the Last, who was dead and is alive. ⁹ I know thy affliction and poverty, (but thou art rich) and the reviling of those who say they are Jews and are not, but a synagogue of Satan. ¹⁰ Fear none of those things which thou art about to suffer: behold the devil is about to cast some of you into prison that ye may be tried, and ye shall have affliction ten days: Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life. ¹¹ He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches: He that overcometh shall not be hurt by the second death. ¹² And to the angel of the church at Pergamos write, These things saith he who hath the sharp two-edged sword. ¹³ I know where thou dwellest, where the throne of Satan is; and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, in the days wherein Antipas, my faithful witness was, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. ¹⁴ But I have a few things against thee, that thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling-block before the sons of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication. ¹⁵ So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicola?tans, which I hate. ¹⁶ Repent therefore; if not, I come to thee, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. ¹⁷ He that hath an ear let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh will I give of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which none knoweth, but he that receiveth it. ¹⁸ And to the angel of the church at Thyatira write, These things saith the Son of God, who hath eyes as a flame of fire, and his feet like fine brass. ¹⁹ I know thy love and faith, and thy service and patience, and thy last works more than the first. ²⁰ But I have against thee, that thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, who callest herself a prophetess, and teacheth and seduceth my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols. ²¹ And I gave her time to repent of her fornication; but she will not repent. ²² Behold I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her, into great affliction, unless they repent of her works. ²³ And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know, that I am he who searcheth the reins and hearts; and I will give you, every man, according to your works. ²⁴ But I say to you, the rest that are at Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak, I will lay upon you no other burden. ²⁵ But what ye have, hold fast till I come. ²⁶ And he that overcometh and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations. ²⁷ (And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken in pieces) as I also have received from my Father. ²⁸ And I will give him the morning star. ²⁹ He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.

²⁰ For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the world.

³⁵ He was a burning and a shining light, and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

¹¹ and heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet, Saying, what thou seest, write in a book and send to the seven churches, to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea. ¹² And I turned to see the voice that spake with me; and being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks, And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one, ¹³ like a son of man, cloathed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about at the breast with a golden girdle.

¹⁶ And he had in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword; and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

²⁰ The mystery of the stars which thou sawest in my right hand and of the seven golden candlesticks. The stars are angels of the churches: and the candlesticks are seven churches.

⁸ And to the angel of the church of Smyrna write, These things saith the First and the Last, who was dead and is alive.

¹² And to the angel of the church at Pergamos write, These things saith he who hath the sharp two-edged sword.

⁷ And to the angel of the church of Philadelphia write, These things saith the Holy, the True One, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and none shutteth, and shutteth and none openeth.

¹⁴ And to the angel of the church at Laodicea write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.

¹⁰ And the third angel sounded, and there fell from heaven a great star burning as a lamp, and it fell on the third part of the rivers, and on the fountains of waters. ¹¹ And the name of the star is called Wormwood, and many men died of the waters, because they were bitter. ¹² And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so that the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for the third part thereof,

¹ And a great sign was seen in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.

²³ And then will I declare to them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

¹³ For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. ¹⁵ Therefore it is no great thing, if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose ends shall be according to their works.

⁷ but there are some that trouble you, and would subvert the gospel of Christ.

¹⁴ That we may be no longer children, fluctuating to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the slight of men, by cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive:

³ Remembring without ceasing your work of faith, and labour of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of our God and Father:

²¹ Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

¹⁹ But the foundation of God standeth fast, having this seal, The Lord knoweth those that are his: and, Let every one who nameth the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.

¹⁰ For God is not unrighteous, to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

¹ But there were false prophets also among the people, as there shall likewise be false teachers among you, who will privily bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. ² And many will follow their pernicious ways, by reason of whom the way of truth will be evil spoken of. ³ And through covetousness will they with feigned speeches make merchandize of you, whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their destruction slumbereth not.

²¹ I have not written to you, because ye know not the truth; but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. ²² Who is that liar, but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is Antichrist who denieth the Father and the Son.

¹ Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

⁶ But thou hast this, that thou hatest the works of the Nicola?tans, which I also hate.

⁸ I know thy works, (behold I have given before thee an opened door, none can shut it) that thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

¹⁵ I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: O that thou wert cold or hot!

²¹ And they compel one Simon a Cyrenian, who was passing by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.

¹⁵ But that on the good ground are they, who, having heard the word, keep it in an honest and good heart, and bring forth fruit with perseverance.

²⁷ And whosoever doth not bear his cross and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

¹ And he spake a parable to them to this end, that they ought always to pray, and not to faint;

¹⁹ In your patience possess ye your souls.

²¹ But all these things will they do to you, for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me.

⁷ and honour, and immortality, eternal life.

³ And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, ⁴ knowing that tribulation worketh patience, And patience experience, and experience hope;

²⁵ But if we hope for what we see not, we patiently wait for it.

¹² Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, continue instant in prayer.

⁴ For whatsoever things were written aforetime, were written for our instruction, that we, through patience and consolation of the scriptures, may have hope. ⁵ Now the God of patience and consolation give you to think the same thing, according to Christ Jesus,

¹² Salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour in the Lord. Salute the beloved Persis, who hath laboured much in the Lord.

⁷ believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

¹⁶ That ye also submit to such, and to every one that worketh with us and laboureth.

¹ Therefore having this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not: But have renounced the hidden things of shame,

¹⁶ Therefore we faint not, but even though the outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

⁹ Therefore we are ambitious, whether present, or absent, to be well-pleasing to him.

⁵ in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labours, in watchings, in fastings;

¹⁵ Not boastingly extending ourselves beyond our measure, in the labours of others; but having hope, now your faith is increased, to be inlarged by you,

²³ Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak foolishly) I more: in labours more abundantly, in stripes more exceedingly, in prisons more abundantly, in deaths often.

² Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

⁹ But let us not be weary of well doing; for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

¹⁶ Holding fast the word of life, that I may glory in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

³ And I intreat thee also, true yoke-fellow, help those women who laboured together with me in the gospel, with both Clement and my other fellow-labourers, whose names are in the book of life.

¹¹ Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and long-suffering with joyfulness:

⁹ For ye remember, brethren, our labour and toil: working night and day, that we might not burden any of you, we preached to you the gospel of God.

¹² Now we beseech you, brethren, to know them that labour among you,

⁵ And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and the patience of Christ.

⁸ Neither did we eat any man's bread for nothing, but wrought with labour and toil, night and day, that we might not burden any of you.

¹³ And ye, brethren, be not weary in well-doing.

¹⁰ For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, especially of them that believe.

¹⁷ Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in the word and teaching.

¹² That ye be not slothful, but followers of them, who through faith and long suffering inherited the promises.

¹⁵ And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

³⁶ For ye have need of patience, that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise.

¹ Wherefore, seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which easily besetteth us, and run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith;

³ For consider him that endured such contradiction from sinners against himself, lest ye be weary and faint in your minds. ⁴ Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. ⁵ And yet ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh to you as to sons, My son, despise not thou the chastning of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him.

¹³ Let us then go forth to him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

³ But let patience have it's perfect work, ⁴ that ye may be perfect and intire, wanting nothing.

⁷ Be patient, therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath patience for it, till he receive the early and the latter rain. ⁸ Be ye also patient, stablish your hearts; for the coming of the Lord is nigh. ⁹ Murmur not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned; behold the judge standeth before the door. ¹⁰ Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering, affliction, and of patience. ¹¹ Behold, we count them happy that have endured. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord: for the Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy.

⁶ and to courage knowledge, And to knowledge temperance, and to temperance patience,

⁹ I John, your brother and companion in the affliction, and in the kingdom, and patience of Jesus, was in the island Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus.

¹⁰ Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee, from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

¹² And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. ¹³ But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved.

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more, in all knowledge and in all spiritual sense,

¹³ Brethren, I do not account myself to have apprehended. ¹⁴ But one thing I do, forgetting the things that are behind, and reaching forth unto the things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded; and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. ¹⁶ But whereunto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

⁹ Touching brotherly love, we need not write to you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another. ¹⁰ And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren that are in all Macedonia; but we exhort you, brethren, that ye increase more and more,

³ We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.

⁴¹ They say to him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out the vineyard to other husbandmen who will render him the fruits in their seasons. ⁴² Jesus saith to them, Have ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, is become the head of the corner? This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes. ⁴³ Therefore I say to you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

⁴⁸ But if that evil servant say in his heart, My Lord delayeth his coming: ⁴⁹ And shall begin to smite his fellow-servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken: ⁵⁰ The Lord of that servant shall come in a day that he expecteth him not, and in an hour that he is not aware of, ⁵¹ And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping, and gnashing of teeth.

⁹ What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do? He will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others.

¹⁷ And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

⁴⁵ But if that servant say in his heart, My Lord delayeth his coming, and shall begin to beat the men servants and maidens, and to eat, and drink, and be drunken: ⁴⁶ The Lord of that servant will come in a day when he expecteth not, and at an hour when he knoweth not, and will cut him in sunder, and appoint him his portion with the unfaithful.

¹⁶ He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and give the vineyard to others.

³⁰ The times of ignorance indeed God overlooked; but he now commandeth all men every where to repent. ³¹ Because he hath appointed a day, in which he will judge the world righteously, by the man whom he hath ordained, whereof he hath given assurance to all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

⁴ Christ is become of no effect to you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

³² But call ye to mind the former days, in which, after ye were inlightened, ye endured so great a conflict of sufferings:

¹² Wherefore I will not neglect always to remind you of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the present truth, ¹³ Yea I think it right, so long as I am in this tabernacle to stir you up by reminding you:

²⁴ Now to Him who is able to keep you from falling, and to preserve you faultless in the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

² Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, which are ready to die; for I have not found thy works compleat before my God. ³ Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast and repent. If thou watch not, I will come as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come upon thee.

¹⁹ Whomsoever I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous and repent.

²⁰ And the rest of the men, who were not killed by these plagues, yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and wood, which can neither hear, nor see, nor walk: ²¹ Neither repented of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornications, nor of their thefts.

⁹ And the men were scorched exceedingly, and blasphemed the name of God, who had power over these plagues: but they repented not to give him glory.

⁹ Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God: ¹⁰ he that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. If any come to you, and bring not this doctrine,

¹⁵ He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

⁹ He that hath ears to hear let him hear.

⁴³ Then shall the righteous shine forth as the Sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

¹⁵ There is nothing entering into a man from without, which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, these are they that defile the man.

⁴³ And Jesus said to him, Verily I say unto thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

³³ I have spoken these things to you, that ye may have peace in me. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but take courage: I have overcome the world.

¹⁰ But God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, even the deep things of God.

⁴ Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. ⁵ And there are diversities of administrations, but the same Lord: ⁶ And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God who worketh all in all. ⁷ But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each, to profit withal. ⁸ For to one is given by the Spirit, the word of wisdom; to another by the same Spirit, the word of knowledge; ⁹ To another faith by the same Spirit; ¹⁰ to another the gift of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another the discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues. ¹¹ But one and the same Spirit worketh all these, dividing to every one severally as he willeth. ¹² For as the body is one, and yet hath many members, but all the members of the body, many as they are, are one body, so is Christ.

⁴ and heard unspeakable things, which it is not possible for man to utter.

⁴ For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. ⁵ Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

¹¹ He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches: He that overcometh shall not be hurt by the second death.

¹² He that overcometh, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, and my new name. ¹³ He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith to the churches.

²¹ He that overcometh, I will give him to sit with me on my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne. ²² He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.

¹⁰ And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come the salvation, and the might, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ, for the accuser of our brethren is cast out, who accused them before our God day and night. ¹¹ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

⁹ If any one have an ear, let him hear.

¹³ And I heard a voice out of heaven, saying to me, Write: From henceforth happy are the dead who die in the Lord: Yea (saith the Spirit) that they may rest from their labours. Their works follow them.

² And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire, and them that gained the victory over the wild beast, and over his image, and over the number of his name, standing at the sea of glass, and having the harps of God.

⁷ He that overcometh shall inherit these things; and I will be to him a God, and he shall be to me a son.

² In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river is the tree of life, bearing twelve sorts of fruits, yielding its fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.

¹⁴ Happy are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in by the gates into the city.

¹⁷ And let him that thirsteth, come: let him that willeth, take the water of life freely.

⁸ Yea. Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, saith the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who cometh, the Almighty.

¹⁰ Then Jesus saith to him, Get thee hence, Satan; for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

¹⁸ he found the place where it was written, The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me, to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

²⁰ And lifting up his eyes on his disciples, he said, Happy are ye poor: for your's is the kingdom of God.

²¹ So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.

⁶⁵ And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.

²² Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith; and that we must through many tribulations enter into the kingdom of God.

¹¹ And frequently punishing them in all the synagogues, I compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.

¹⁷ Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law,

²⁸ For he is not a Jew, who is one in outward shew, neither is that circumcision which is apparent in the flesh. ²⁹ But he is a Jew, who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.

³ And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also,

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall affliction, or distress, or persecution, or hunger, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

⁶ Not as if the word of God had fallen to the ground; for all are not Israel, who are of Israel.

¹⁰ As sorrowing, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, yet possessing all things.

² That in a great trial of affliction, their overflowing joy and their deep poverty abounded to the riches of their liberality:

⁹ For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

⁴ For when we were with you we told you before, we should be afflicted; as it came to pass, and ye know.

⁶ Seeing it is a righteous thing with God, to recompence affliction to them that afflict you. ⁷ And to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with his mighty angels,

¹³ having put me into the ministry, Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecuter, and a reviler; but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

¹⁸ To do good, to be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate,

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom, which he hath promised to them that love him? ⁶ But ye have disgraced the poor.

⁹ Behold I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie, behold, I will make them come and lie down before thy feet, and know that I have loved thee.

¹⁷ Because thou sayst, I am rich, and have inriched myself, and have need of nothing, and knowest not, that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. ¹⁸ I counsel thee to buy of me gold purified in the fire, that thou mayst be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayst be clothed, and the shame of thy nakedness may not appear; and eye-salve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayst see.

¹⁴ And he said to me, These are they who come out of great affliction, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

²² And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end, shall be saved.

²⁸ And be not afraid of them who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather be afraid of him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

¹³ But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved.

³⁵ For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life, for my sake and the gospels, he shall save it.

¹³ And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake; but he that endureth to the end, he shall be saved.

⁴ But I say to you, my friends; Fear not them that kill the body, and after that can do no more: ⁵ But I will shew you whom ye shall fear: fear him, who after he hath killed, hath power to cast into hell: yea, I say to you, fear him. ⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. ⁷ But even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

¹² But before all these things they shall lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my names sake.

¹⁶ But ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. ¹⁷ And ye shall be hated by all men for my names sake. ¹⁸ But there shall not an hair of your head perish. ¹⁹ In your patience possess ye your souls.

²⁵ He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world, shall preserve it to life eternal.

² And while they were at supper (the devil having now put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon,

²⁷ And after the sop, then Satan entered into him.

²⁴ But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life precious to myself, so I may finish my course with joy, and the ministry which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

¹³ But Paul answered, What mean ye, weeping and breaking my heart? I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord Jesus.

²⁵ And every one that contendeth, is temperate in all things: and they indeed, to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible.

² who were dead in trespasses and sins, Wherein ye formerly walked, according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the sons of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in time past,

¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world, of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places.

⁷ I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; ⁸ Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge will render me in that day, and not to me only, but to all them likewise that have loved his appearing.

¹² Happy is the man that endureth temptation: for when he hath been proved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

⁶ Wherein ye greatly rejoice, tho' now for a little while (if need be) ye are in heaviness thro' manifold temptations. ⁷ That the trial of your faith, which is much more precious than gold, (that perisheth, tho' it be tried with fire) may be found unto praise, and honour, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

⁴ And when the chief shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.

⁸ for your adversary the devil, walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour:

¹⁰ Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee, from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon the whole world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. ¹¹ I come quickly. Hold fast what thou hast, that none take thy crown.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the antient serpent, who is called the devil and satan, who deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out unto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

² And the wild beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion; and the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority.

⁷ And it was given him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them, and authority was given him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation.

¹⁵ And it was given him to give breath to the image of the wild beast; so that the image of the wild beast should speak: and he will cause, that as many as will not worship the image of the wild beast shall be killed. ¹⁶ And he causeth all, small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slaves, to receive a mark in their right-hand, or in their forehead, ¹⁷ That no man might buy or sell, but he that had the mark, the name of the wild beast, or the number of his name.

⁷ He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches. To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of my God.

⁶ Happy and holy is he that hath a part in the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

¹⁴ And death and hades were cast into the lake of fire: this is the second death.

⁸ But the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.

¹² For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder both of the soul and spirit, both of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

¹⁵ And out of his mouth goeth forth a sharp two-edged sword, that with it he may smite the nations. And he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the wine-press of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty.

²¹ And the rest were slain by the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which went forth out of his mouth; and all the birds were satisfied with their flesh.

²³ But when they persecute you in this city, flee to another; for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

⁹ Then shall they deliver you to be afflicted, and shall kill you; and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

¹⁷ And ye shall be hated by all men for my names sake.

¹⁴ And here also he hath authority from the chief priests, to bind all that call on thy name.

²⁰ And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I also was standing by and consenting to his death, and kept the garments of them that slew him.

⁸ But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own family, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel.

¹³ Hold fast the pattern of sound words, which thou hast heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

¹² If we suffer, we shall also reign with him:

⁶ But Christ as a Son over his own house, whose house we are, if we hold fast the confidence and the glorying of hope, firm to the end.

²³ Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering (for he is faithful that hath promised) And let us consider one another,

⁷ Do not the rich oppress you and drag you to the judgment-seats? Do not they blaspheme that worthy name, by which ye are called?

³ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write to you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write to you and exhort you, to contend earnestly for the faith which was once delivered to the saints. ⁴ For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were of old described before with regard to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.

⁹ I know thy affliction and poverty, (but thou art rich) and the reviling of those who say they are Jews and are not, but a synagogue of Satan. ¹⁰ Fear none of those things which thou art about to suffer: behold the devil is about to cast some of you into prison that ye may be tried, and ye shall have affliction ten days: Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee the crown of life.

²⁴ But I say to you, the rest that are at Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak, I will lay upon you no other burden. ²⁵ But what ye have, hold fast till I come.

³ Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast and repent. If thou watch not, I will come as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I will come upon thee.

⁸ I know thy works, (behold I have given before thee an opened door, none can shut it) that thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. ⁹ Behold I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie, behold, I will make them come and lie down before thy feet, and know that I have loved thee.

¹¹ I come quickly. Hold fast what thou hast, that none take thy crown.

¹² Here is the patience of the saints, who keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

⁷ Wo to the world because of offences: for it must needs be that offences come; but wo to that man by whom the offence cometh.

²⁰ But that we write to them, to abstain from things offered to idols and fornication, and things strangled and blood. ²¹ For Moses hath of old time them that preach him in every city, being read in the synagogues every sabbath-day.

²⁹ and things strangled and fornication; from which keeping yourselves ye will do well. Fare ye well.

²⁵ As touching the Gentiles that believe, we have written and determined, that they should observe no such thing; save only that they keep themselves from what is offered to idols, and from blood, and from what is strangled, and from fornication.

³² Wherefore? Because they sought it, not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law: for they stumbled at that stumbling stone;

⁹ And David saith, Let their table become a snare, and a trap, and a stumbling block, and a recompence to them.

¹³ Let us therefore no longer judge one another; but judge this rather, not to lay a stumbling block, or a scandal before a brother.

²¹ It is good, not to eat flesh, neither to drink wine, nor to do any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or made weak.

²³ to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness:

¹³ Meats are for the belly, and the belly for meats; yet God will destroy both it and them. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. ¹⁴ And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power. ¹⁵ Know ye not, that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? ¹⁶ God forbid. Know ye not, that he who is joined to an harlot is one body? For they two, saith he, shall be one flesh. ¹⁷ But he that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit. ¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doth, is without the body; but he that committeth fornication, sinneth against his own body.

² Yet, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife; and let every woman have her own husband.

⁴ we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no God but one. ⁵ For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, (as there are many gods and many lords) Yet to us there is but one God, ⁶ the Father from whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. ⁷ But there is not in all men this knowledge; for some do even until now, with consciousness of the idol, eat it as sacrificed to the idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. ⁸ But meat commendeth us not to God; for neither if we eat, are we the better, nor if we eat not, are we the worse. ⁹ But take heed, lest by any means this your liberty become a stumbling-block to the weak. ¹⁰ For if any one see thee, who hast knowledge, sitting at meat in an idol-temple, will not the conscience of him that is weak be encouraged to eat of the things sacrificed to the idol? ¹¹ And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died. ¹² But when ye sin thus against your brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. ¹³ Wherefore if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

¹⁸ Consider Israel after the flesh. Are not they who eat of the sacrifices, partakers of the altar? ¹⁹ What say I then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is any thing? or that an idol is any thing? ²⁰ But that what the heathens sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God. Now I would not that ye should be partakers with devils. ²¹ Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils; ye cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and the table of devils. ²² Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? ²³ All things are lawful for me; but all things are not expedient; all things are lawful for me; but all things edify not. ²⁴ Let no one seek his own, but every one another's welfare. ²⁵ Whatever is sold in the shambles eat, asking no questions for conscience sake. ²⁶ For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof. ²⁷ And if any of the unbelievers invite you, and ye are disposed to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no questions for conscience sake. ²⁸ But if any one say to you, This hath been sacrificed to an idol, eat not, for his sake that shewed thee, and for conscience sake. ²⁹ Conscience I say, not thy own, but that of the other: for why is my liberty judged by another's conscience? ³⁰ For if I by grace am a partaker, why am I blamed for that for which I give thanks? ³¹ Therefore whether ye eat or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

⁴ Marriage is honourable in all men, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

⁸ And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, to them who stumble, not believing the word, whereunto also they were appointed.

¹⁵ Who have forsaken the right way and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam, the son of Boser, who loved the reward of unrighteousness.

¹¹ Wo to them; for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Korah.

⁴ But I have against thee, that thou hast left thy first love.

¹⁵ Without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and every one that loveth and maketh a lie.

¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,

⁸ And then will that wicked one be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the Spirit of his mouth, and destroy with the brightness of his coming:

⁵ Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works: if not, I come to thee, and will remove thy candlestick out of its place, unless thou repent.

⁷ Behold, I come quickly: happy is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book.

¹¹ He answered and said to them, Because to you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven; but to them it is not given.

³² But he said to them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. The disciples said one to another, Hath any man brought him to eat?

⁴⁸ I am the bread of life. Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness, and yet died. ⁴⁹ This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat of it, and not die. ⁵⁰ I am the living bread which came down from heaven: ⁵¹ If any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever, and the bread that I will give, is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world. ⁵² The Jews then debated among themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? ⁵³ But Jesus said to them, Verily, verily I say unto you, unless ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. ⁵⁴ He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. ⁵⁵ For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. ⁵⁶ He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. ⁵⁷ As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father, so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. ⁵⁸ This is the bread which came down from heaven; not as your fathers ate manna, and died: he that eateth of this bread, shall live for ever.

¹⁴ But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit; for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

³ For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

³ And they sing a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders: and none could learn the song but the hundred forty-four thousand, who were redeemed from the earth.

¹² His eyes are a flame of fire, and upon his head are many diadems, and he hath a name written, which none knoweth but himself. ¹³ And he is clothed in a vesture dipt in blood, and his name is called, The Word of God.

¹⁷ And lo a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight.

³ And the tempter coming to him said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. ⁴ But he answering said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. ⁵ Then the devil taketh him with him into the holy city, and setteth him on the battlement of the temple, ⁶ And saith to him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down; for it is written, He shall charge his angels concerning thee, and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

⁵ While he yet spake, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight: hear ye him.

⁵⁴ And the centurion and they that were with him, guarding Jesus, seeing the earthquake and the things that were done, feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

³⁵ And the angel answering said to her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee; therefore also that Holy thing which shall be born, shall be called the Son of God.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.

⁴⁹ Nathagael answered and said to him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the King of Israel.

¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him, may not perish, but have everlasting life.

¹⁸ He that believeth on him, is not condemned; but he that believeth not, is condemned already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.

³⁵ The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. ³⁶ He that believeth on the Son, hath everlasting life: but he that obeyeth not the Son, shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.

²⁵ Verily, verily I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live.

³⁶ God came (and the scripture cannot be broken) Say ye of him whom God hath sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God?

³⁶ And as they went on the way, they came to a certain water. And the eunuch said, Behold water: what hindereth me to be baptized?

⁴ who was of the seed of David, according to the flesh, But declared the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead,

³² He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

¹⁴ His head and hair were white as white wool, as snow, ¹⁵ and his eyes as a flame of fire, And his feet like fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace, and his voice as the voice of many waters.

² and every one that beareth fruit, he purifieth it, that it may bear more fruit.

¹ Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. ² And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith so as to remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. ³ And though I give all my goods to feed the poor, and deliver up my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing. ⁴ Love suffereth long and is kind; love envieth not; love acteth not rashly, is not puffed up: ⁵ Doth not behave indecently, seeketh not her own, is not provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not at iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth: ⁶ Covereth all things, ⁷ believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. ⁸ Love never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

¹⁴ And above all these put on love, which is the bond of perfection:

⁶ But now when Timotheus was come to us from you, and had brought us the good tidings of your faith and love, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, longing to see us, as we also to see you:

⁵ Whereas the end of the commandment is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience, and faith unfeigned,

⁸ And above all things, have fervent love to each other; for love will cover a multitude of sins.

⁷ and to patience godliness, And to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

¹⁸ But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity! Amen.

² I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, that thou canst not bear evil men; and thou hast tried those who say they are apostles and are not, and hast found them liars: And hast patience, ³ and hast borne for my name's sake, and hast not fainted. ⁴ But I have against thee, that thou hast left thy first love.

¹³ I know where thou dwellest, where the throne of Satan is; and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, in the days wherein Antipas, my faithful witness was, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.

²² What if God, being willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, yet endured with much long-suffering the vessels of wrath fitted for destruction?

²⁰ Who some time disbelieved, when the long-suffering of God waited in the Days of Noah, while the ark was preparing, wherein few, that is, eight persons were saved through the water:

⁹ The Lord is not slow concerning his promise (tho' some men count it slowness) but is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

¹⁵ And account the long-suffering of our Lord salvation, as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given him, hath written to you:

¹¹ And they gnawed their tongues for pain, and blasphemed the God of heaven, because of their pains, and because of their sores, and repented not of their works.

³ I tell you, Nay; but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

²¹ and I should mourn over many of them who had sinned before, and have not repented of the uncleanness, and fornication, and lasciviousness, which they have committed.

²⁵ apt to teach, patient of evil, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if haply God may give them repentance, to the acknowledging of the truth; ²⁶ And they may awake out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

² With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication.

³ For all nations have drank of the wine of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich, thro' the abundance of her delicacies.

⁹ And the kings of the earth, who had committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall weep and mourn over her, when they see the smoke of her burning,

¹⁸ That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of chief captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of those that sit on them, and the flesh of all men both bond and free, both small and great. ¹⁹ And I saw the wild beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together, to make war with him that sat on the horse and with his army. ²⁰ And the wild beast was taken, and with him the false prophet, who had wrought the miracles before him, with which he deceived them who had the mark of the wild beast, and them who had worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the rest were slain by the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which went forth out of his mouth; and all the birds were satisfied with their flesh.

²⁷ For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father, with his angels; and then shall he render to every man according to his work.

²⁴ But Jesus did not trust himself to them, ²⁵ because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man; for he knew what was in man.

¹⁷ He saith to him, Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my sheep. He saith to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said to him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith to him, Feed my sheep.

²⁴ And they prayed and said, Thou, Lord, who knowest the hearts of all, shew which of these two thou hast chosen,

⁵ But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up to thyself wrath in the day of wrath, and revelation, and righteous judgment of God? ⁶ Who will render to every one according to his works: To them that by patient continuance in well-doing seek for glory, ⁷ and honour, and immortality, eternal life. ⁸ But to them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, shall be indignation and wrath, ⁹ tribulation and anguish, Even upon every soul of man who worketh evil, of the Jew first, and also the Gentile: ¹⁰ But glory, honour, and peace shall be to every one who worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile. ¹¹ For there is no respect of persons with God.

²⁷ But he who searcheth the hearts, knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit: for he maketh intercession for the saints, according to God.

¹² So then every one of us shall give an account of himself to God.

¹⁰ For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that every one may receive according to what he hath done in the body, whether good or evil.

⁵ For every man shall bear his own burden.

¹³ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight; but all things are naked and opened to the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

¹⁷ And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning in fear:

⁸ And I saw and behold a pale horse, and he that sat on him, his name was Death, (and Hades followeth even with him) and power was given him over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with the scimetar, and with famine, and with death, and by the beasts of the earth.

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of the things that were written in the books, according to their works.

²⁸ For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost and to us, that no further burden be laid upon you than these necessary things, To abstain from meats offered to idols and blood,

¹¹ Lest Satan get an advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

³ But I fear lest as the serpent deceived Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from simplicity toward Christ.

¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. ¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world, of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places.

⁹ Whose coming is after the mighty working of Satan, with all power and signs and lying wonders, ¹⁰ And with all deceiveableness of unrighteousness in them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And therefore God shall send them strong delusion, so that that they shall believe a lie, ¹² That they all may be condemned, who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, the antient serpent, who is called the devil and satan, who deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out unto the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

¹⁴ And he deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the wonders which it is given him to do before the wild beast: saying to them that dwell on the earth, to make an image to the wild beast, which had the wound by the sword, and yet lived.

³ I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, that where I am, ye may be also.

²² Jesus saith to him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is it to thee? ²³ Follow thou me. Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him, That he should not die: but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is it to thee?

²⁸ named Agabus stood up, and signified by the Spirit, that there would be a great famine through all the world; which also came to pass under Claudius Cesar.

⁹ Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil, cleave to that which is good.

⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and manifest the counsels of the hearts. And then shall every one have praise from God.

²⁶ Therefore as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye shew forth the Lord's death, till he come.

¹⁴ Having therefore a great high priest, that is passed thro' the heavens, Jesus the son of God,

¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, the elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth, and the works that are therein, shall be burnt up.

⁷ Behold he cometh with clouds, and every eye shall see him, and they who have pierced him: and all the tribes of the earth shall wail because of him.

²⁰ He that testifieth these things saith, Yea, I come quickly. Amen: Come, Lord Jesus!

²⁸ Jesus said to them, Verily I say to you, that ye who have followed me, in the renovation, when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

¹³ Those on the rock are they, who, when they hear, receive the word with joy. But they have no root, who for a while believe; but in time of temptation fall away. ¹⁴ That which fell among thorns are they, who, having heard, go forth, and are choked with cares, and riches, and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection. ¹⁵ But that on the good ground are they, who, having heard the word, keep it in an honest and good heart, and bring forth fruit with perseverance.

²⁹ And I appoint to you a kingdom, as my Father to me, ³⁰ That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

²⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

³¹ Then said Jesus to the Jews who believed on him, If ye continue in my word, ye are my disciples indeed: ³² And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

³⁷ Nay, in all these things we more than conquer, through him who hath loved us.

³ Know ye not, that we shall judge angels? ⁴ How much more things pertaining to this life? If then ye have any controversies of things pertaining to this life, do ye set them to judge who are of no esteem in the church?

⁵ Therefore when I could bear no longer, I sent to know your faith, left by any means the tempter should have tempted you, and our labour be in vain.

³⁸ Now the just shall live by faith; but if he draw back, my soul hath no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not of them who draw back to perdition, but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

²⁰ But art thou willing to know, O empty man, that faith without works is dead?

¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest, that they were not all of us.

²³ And this is his commandment, that we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

⁵ Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

⁵ He that overcometh, he shall be cloathed in white raiment, and I will not blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name, before my Father and before his angels.

¹² He that overcometh, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go out no more: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God, and my new name.

²¹ He that overcometh, I will give him to sit with me on my throne, as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.

⁴ And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them; and I saw the souls of them who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the wild beast nor his image, neither had received the mark on their forehead or on their hand; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

⁵ And there shall be no night there, neither is there need of a lamp, or of the light of the sun; for the Lord God will give them light, and they shall reign for ever.

²⁷ All things are delivered to me by my Father; and no one knoweth the Son but the Father; neither knoweth any one the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son is pleased to reveal him.

²⁹ And I appoint to you a kingdom, as my Father to me,

²⁴ Father, I will that these also whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

⁵ And she brought forth a man child, who shall rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to his throne.

⁷⁸ Thro' the tender mercy of our God, whereby the Day-spring from on high hath visited us, ⁷⁹ To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct our feet into the way of peace.

¹⁹ And we have the word of prophecy more confirmed, to which ye do well that ye take heed, as to a lamp that shone in a dark place, till the day should dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:

¹⁶ I Jesus have sent my angel to testify to you, to the churches, these things. I am the root and the off-spring of David, the bright, the morning-star. And the spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.
