³ And þa geneahleahte se costnigend. & cwæð. Gyf þu godes sune syo. cwæð þæt þas stanes syen to hlafe gewordan.

³³ Soðlice þa þe on þam scype wæron comen & to him ge-bædon & þus cwæðen. Soðlice þu ert godes sune.

⁵ hym þa gët sprecende. & soðlice þa briht-welcan hyo ofer-scan. & þa efne com stefen of þam wolcne & cwæð. Her ys min leofe sunu. on þan me well ge-likað. ge-hereð hine.

² swa us be-tahten þa þe hyt of fremðe ge-sægen. & þare spræce þëenæs wæren. ³ Me ge-þuhte geornlice eallen oð ænde-byrdnysse writen þe þu seleste theophilus.

³⁵ Ða andswerede hyre se ængel. Se halge gast on þe be-kymd & þas heagestan mihte þe ofer-scædeð. & for þan þt halig þe of þe akenned byð; byð godes sune ge-nemned.

¹⁰ & se engel heom to cwæð. Nelle ge eow on-dræden. soðlice nu ich eow bodige mychele blisse syo beoð eallen folce. ¹¹ for þan to dayg eow is hælend akenned. se is drihten crist on dauiðes ceastre.

¹⁴ Ænd þt word wæs flæsc ge-worden. & eardede on üs. & we ge-segen hys wulder swylche akennedes wuldor of fæder þt wæs ful myd gyfe. & soðfæstnesse.

³⁴ & ic ge-seah & ge-wytnesse kydde þt þes is godes sune.

⁴⁹ Hym answerede þa nathanael ænd þus cwæð. Rabbi þu eart godes sune. ænd þu eart israele kyng.

¹⁶ God lufede middan-eard swa þæt he sealde hys akennedan sune þæt nan ne for-wurðe þe on hine ge-lefð. Ac habbe þt eche lyf.

⁶⁹ & we ge-lefed & witen þæt þu ert crist godes sune.

³¹ Witoðliche þas þing synden awritan þt ge ge-lyfen. þt se hælend is crist godes sunu. & þæt ge hæbbeð eche lyf; þanne ge lyfað on hys naman.
