²⁹ Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?

¹⁷ And his disciples remembred that it was written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.

¹⁵ Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

¹ We then that are strong, ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please our selves.

¹ It is reported commonly, fornication is among you, and such fornication as is not even among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife. ² And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who hath done this deed, might be taken from among you. ³ For I verily being absent in body, but present it spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, him that hath so done this deed; ⁴ In the name of our Lord Jesus, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus, ⁵ To deliver such an one unto Satan, for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved to the day of the Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵ I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man amongst you, that shall be able to judge between his brethren? ⁶ But brother goeth to law with brother, and that with unbelievers. ⁷ Now there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another: why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer your selves to be defrauded?

¹⁵ Know ye not, that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? By no means. ¹⁶ Know ye not that he that is joined to an harlot, is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh. ¹⁷ But he that is joined unto the Lord, is one spirit. ¹⁸ Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doth, is without the body: but he that committeth fornication, sinneth against his own body.

¹³ Wherefore, if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

²² To the weak became I weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save all men.

²² What, have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise [you] not.

²⁶ And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it: or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

¹² Now if Christ be preached that he is risen from the dead, how say some among you, that there is no resurrection of the dead? ¹³ But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: ¹⁴ Then [is] our preaching vain, your faith [is] also vain. ¹⁵ Yea, we are found false witness of God; because we have testified of God, that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up. ¹⁶ For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: ¹⁷ And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. ¹⁸ Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ, are perished. ¹⁹ If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. ²⁰ But now is Christ risen from the dead, the first-fruits of them that are fallen asleep. ²¹ For since by man was death, by man is also the resurrection of the dead. ²² For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. ²³ But every man in his own order: Christ the first-fruits, afterward they that are Christ's, at his coming. ²⁴ Then is the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule, and all authority, and power. ²⁵ For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. ²⁶ For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under [him, it is] manifest that he is excepted who did put all things under him. ²⁷ The last enemy [that] shall be destroyed, [is] death. ²⁸ And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all, ²⁹ Else what shall they do who are baptized for them, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead? ³⁰ And why stand we in jeopardy every hour? ³¹ I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ, I die daily. ³² If after the manner of men, I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink, for to morrow we die. ³³ Be not deceived! Evil communications corrupt good manners. ³⁴ Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.

³⁶ Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickned except it die first.

⁴ For out of much affliction and anguish of heart, I wrote unto you with many tears; not that you should be grieved, but that ye might know the love which I have more abundantly unto you. ⁵ But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all.

⁵ For when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without fightings, within fears. ⁶ Nevertheless, God that comforteth those that are cast down, comforted us by the coming of Titus:

¹³ For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. ¹⁴ And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. ¹⁵ [It is] no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

⁹ For we are glad when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, your perfection.

⁷ Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. ⁸ But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you, than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. ⁹ As we said before, so say I now again, if any one preach any other gospel unto you, than that ye have received, let him be accursed. ¹⁰ For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? If I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

⁴ And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty, which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: ⁵ We gave place by subjection, [no not] for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. ⁶ But of these, who seemed to be somewhat: whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me; God accepteth no man's person: for they who seemed [to be somewhat], in conference added nothing to me.

¹⁴ But when I saw that they walked not uprightly, according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before all, If thou, a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, How compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

¹ O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you? before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you. ² This only would I learn of you, received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of Faith? ³ Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

⁸ Howbeit, then when ye knew not God, ye did service unto them who by nature are no gods. ⁹ But now after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? ¹⁰ Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years. ¹¹ I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain. ¹² Brethren, I beseech you, be as I [am]; for I [am] as ye [are]: ye have not injured me at all. ¹³ Ye know how through infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel unto you formerly. ¹⁴ And my temptation which was in my flesh, ye despised not, nor rejected but received me as an angel of God, as Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ What a blessedness yours was then? for I bear you record, that if possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have even given them to me. ¹⁶ Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth? ¹⁷ They zealously affect you, not well; yea, they would exclude you, that you might affect them: But be zealous for the better gifts. ¹⁸ [It is] good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you. ¹⁹ My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you, ²⁰ I desire to be present with you now, and to change my voice, for I stand in doubt of you.

² Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. ³ For I testify to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debter to do the whole law. ⁴ Christ is become of no effect unto you; whosoever of you are justified by the law, ye are fallen from grace.

² Bear ye one another's burdens, andso fulfil the law of Christ.

⁵ For this cause, when I could no longer forbear, I sent to know your faith; lest by some means the tempter have tempted you, and our labour be in vain. ⁶ But now when that Timothy is come from you unto us, and brought us good tidings of your faith and charity, and that ye have good remembrance of us always, desiring greatly to see us, as we also you: ⁷ Therefore, brethren, we are comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: ⁸ For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.

¹⁰ If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him good speed. ¹¹ For he that biddeth him good speed, is partaker of his evil deeds.

³ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of our common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you, that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. ⁴ For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were of old described as coming to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and, denying the only Lord, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

² I know thy works, and labour, and thy patience, that thou canst not bear them that are evil: and thou hast tried them who say they are themselves apostles, and are not; and hast found them liars:

²⁰ Notwithstanding, I have against thee, because thou sufferest thy wise Jezabel, who calleth herself a prophetess, and she teacheth and seduceth my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

¹⁵ I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot. ¹⁶ So then because thou art luke-warm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth: ¹⁷ Because thou sayst, I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. ¹⁸ I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayst be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayst be clothed, and the shame of thy nakedness may not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eye-salve, that thou mayst see.
