1 From whence [are] wars and whence fightings among you? [are they] not hence, of your lusts, that war in your members?
2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world, is the enemy of God.

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you: cleanse the hands, ye sinners, and purify the hearts, ye double-minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, [and] weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and joy to heaviness.
10 Humble your selves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
11 Speak not evil one of another, my brethren. He that speaketh evil of a brother, or judgeth a brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.
12 There is one lawgiver and judge, who is able to save, and to destroy: who art thou that judgest thy neighbour?
13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow let us go into such a city, and continue a year, and buy and sell; and we will get gain:
14 Whereas ye know not what [shall be] on the morrow: What [is]your life? It will be even a vapour that appeareth for a little time, and then also vanisheth away.
15 For that ye [ought] to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.
17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

21 Because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkned.
Romans 1:32
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but consent to them that do them.
Romans 2:17-23
17 But if thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God;
18 And knowest [his] will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law,
19 And art confident that thou thy self art a guide of the blind, a light of them who are in darkness,
20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, who hast the form of knowledge, and of the truth in the law.
21 Thou therefore who teachest another, teachest thou not thy self? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?
22 Thou that sayst a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?
23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?
Romans 7:13
13 Was then that which is good, made death unto me? By no means. But sin that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
2 Peter 2:21
21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after they have known [it], to return backward from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
