¹ There were present at that season, some that told him of the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. ² And Jesus answering, said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galileans, were sinners above all Galileans, because they suffered these things? ³ I tell you, No; but except ye shall repent, ye shall all likewise perish. ⁴ Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them: think ye that they were debters above all men that dwell in Jerusalem? ⁵ And I tell you, No; but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. ⁶ He spake also this parable: one had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came and sought fruit there from, and found none. ⁷ And he said unto the dresser of his vineyard, behold, these three years, It is now that I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: Bring the Ax; cut it down, why cumbreth it the ground? ⁸ And he answering, said unto him, Lord, let it alone yet this year, till I shall dig about it, and cast a vessel of dung [upon it.] ⁹ Parhaps it may bear fruit; and if not, after that thou shalt cut it down. ¹⁰ And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath, ¹¹ And behold, there was a woman who had an infirmity of spirit eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could not at all lift up[her self]. ¹² And when Jesus saw her, he said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. ¹³ And he laid hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. ¹⁴ But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, and said, unto the multitude. There are six days in which they ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath-day. ¹⁵ But the Lord Jesus answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite; doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox and ass from the stall, and lead [him] away to watering? ¹⁶ And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath-day? ¹⁷ And, his adversaries were ashamed: and all the multitude rejoyced for all the glorious things, they had seen done by him. ¹⁸ And he said, unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? ¹⁹ It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden, and it grew, and became a tree: and the fowls of the air lodged under the branches of it. ²⁰ Whereunto is the kingdom of God like? and to what shall I compare it? ²¹ It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three Seahs of meal, till the whole was leavened. ²² And he went through the cities and countreys, teaching and journeying to Jerusalem. ²³ Then said one unto him, Lord, are those that are saved few? But he said unto them, ²⁴ Strive to enter in at the strait door: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not find it. ²⁵ When once the master of the house shall be come in, and shut the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence you are: ²⁶ Then shall ye begin to say, Lord, we have eat and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. ²⁷ And he shall say, I tell you, I never knew you: depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. ²⁸ There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and you thrust out. ²⁹ And they shall come from the east, and the west, and the north, and the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. ³⁰ And behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last. ³¹ The same hour there came certain of the Pharisees, to him, saying, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod seeketh to kill thee. ³² And he said unto them, Go ye and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out daemons, and I shall do cures to day, and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. ³³ Nevertheless, I must walk today, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem. ³⁴ Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto it, how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen her brood under [her] wings, and ye would not? ³⁵ Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: But I say unto you, Ye shall by no means see me, until the time shall come when ye shall say, Blessed [is] he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

² And when they had bound him, they led [him away], and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

³⁷ After him rose up Judas of Galilee, in the days of the taxing, and drew away much people after him: he also perished, and as many as obeyed him, were dispersed.

¹⁷ For the time [is], that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if [it] first [begin] at us, what shall the end [be] of them that obey not the gospel of God? ¹⁸ And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

⁴ Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them: think ye that they were debters above all men that dwell in Jerusalem?

² And the disciples asked him, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

⁴ And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.

² And saying, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

¹⁰ Now also the ax is laid to the root of the trees: therefore every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. ¹¹ I indeed baptize you in water unto repentance; but he that cometh after me, is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to carry: he will baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and fire. ¹² Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into his garner: but he will burn up the chaff with unquenched fire.

⁴⁵ Then goeth he, and taketh with him self seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and his last state is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

⁷ When the king heard [it], he was wroth: and he sent forth his army, and destroyed those murderers, and burnt up their city.

³⁵ That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the land, from the blood of righteous Abel, unto the blood of Zacharias, son of Barachias, whom ye have slain between the temple and the altar. ³⁶ Verily I say unto you, all these things shall come upon this generation. ³⁷ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them who are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth [her] chickens under her wings, and ye would not! ³⁸ Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

²¹ For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, nor may they ever be again. ²² And except those days should be shortned, there shall no flesh escape: but for the elects sake those days shall be shortned. ²³ Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is the Christ, or there: ye shall not believe [it]. ²⁴ For there will be raised false Christs, and false prophets, and will shew great signs and wonders, insomuch that if possible the very elect should be deceived. ²⁵ Behold, I have told you before. ²⁶ Wherefore, if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert, go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers, believe [it] not. ²⁷ For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth unto the west: so shall the coming of the Son of man be. ²⁸ Wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles also be gathered together. ²⁹ Immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sunbe darkned, and the moon shall not give its light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.

⁵ And I tell you, No; but except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

⁴² Saying, If thou also hadst known in this day, what things concern thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. ⁴³ For the days will come upon thee, that thine enemies will cast a trench, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, ⁴⁴ And will level thee even with the ground, and thy children; and they will not leave stone upon stone in this whole [city,] because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

²² For these be the days of vengence, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. ²³ Wo unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days: for there will be great distress in the land, and wrath in this people. ²⁴ And they shall fall by the edge of the sword; and shall be led away captive unto all nations; and Jerusalem shall be troden down of the Gentiles; until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

²⁸ But Jesus turning unto them, said, Daughters of Jerusalem weep not for me, nor lament; but weep for your selves, and your children. ²⁹ For the days will come, in the which they shall say, Blessed [are] the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave nourishment. ³⁰ Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us,

⁴⁷ And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name, as far as all nations;beginning at Jerusalem.

³⁸ But Peter saith unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. ³⁹ For the promise is ours, and to our children, and to all that are afar off, as many as the Lord our God shall call. ⁴⁰ And with many other words didhe testify and exhort them, saying, Save your selves from this untoward generation.

¹⁹ Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come upon you, from the face of the Lord.

²¹ And I gave her space to repent; and she would not repent of her fornication. ²² Behold, I will cast her into prison, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they will repent of their deeds.

¹² And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debters.

²⁴ And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him who owed him ten thousand talents.

⁴¹ But he said, There was a certain creditor, who had two debters: the one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty[.] ⁴² When [they] had nothing to pay, he forgave both. Which of them therefore will love [him] most?

⁴ And forgive us our debts; for we also forgive our debters. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

⁷ And said, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam (which is interpreted Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.

¹¹ He answered, A man that is called Jesus, made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to Siloam, and wash: I went therefore and washed, and come seeing.

³ I tell you, No; but except ye shall repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

¹⁹ And when he saw one fig-tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said unto it, Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward for ever, And presently the fig-tree withered away. ²⁰ And when the disciples saw [it], they marvelled, saying, How soon is the fig tree withered away?

³⁴ And when the time of the fruits drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. ³⁵ And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. ³⁶ Again therefore, he sent other servants, more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. ³⁷ But last of all, he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. ³⁸ But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir, come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. ³⁹ And they caught [him], and slew him, and cast him out of the vineyard: ⁴⁰ When the Lord therefore of the vineyard shall come, what will he do unto those husbandmen?

¹² And on the morrow as they came from Bethany, he was hungry. ¹³ And seeing a fig-tree from far, having leaves, he came, to see if there were any thing thereon, and he found nothing but leaves; for the time of figs was not [yet]. ¹⁴ Jesus answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit of thee hereafter for ever. And his disciples heard.

¹⁰ Now at the season, he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but they beat him, and sent [him] away empty. ¹¹ And He sent another servant; and they beat him also, and treated [him] shamefully, and sent [him] away empty. ¹² And He sent a third; They wounded him also, and cast [him] out. ¹³ But the Lord of the vineyard, said, What shall I do? I will send my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him. ¹⁴ But when they saw him, they reasoned one with another, saying, This is the heir: come let us kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.

¹⁶ Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you, that you should go and bring forth much fruit, and your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

¹⁷ Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

⁹ And think not to say within your selves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of there stones to raise up children unto Abraham. ¹⁰ Now also the ax is laid to the root of the trees: therefore every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

¹⁹ Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewn down and cast into the fire.

⁹ But the ax is already laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruits, is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

² Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away: and every one that beareth fruit, he will purge it, that it may bear more fruit.

⁶ If any one abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather it, and cast [it] into the fire, and it is burned.

⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? ⁵ But after thy hardness and impenitent heart, treasurest up unto thy self wrath against the day of wrath, and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

¹ Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel [is], that they might be saved.

¹⁴ If by any means I may provoke to emulation my flesh, and might save some of them.

⁹ The Lord is not slack concerning, his promise, as some men count slackness, but is long-suffering for your sakes, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

¹⁵ Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and the prophets, and have persecuted us; and please not God, and are contrary to all men:

⁸ But that which beareth thorns and briers, [is] rejected, and [is] nigh unto cursing; whose end [is] to be burned.

³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous [are] thy works, Lord God almighty; just, and true [are] thy ways, thou King of nations. ⁴ Who shall not fear [thee,] O Lord, and glorify thy name? for [thou] only [art] holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest O Lord.

⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, who art, and wast, the Holy one, because thou hast judged thus: ⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; they are worthy. ⁷ And I heard [another out of] the altar say, Even so, Lord God almighty, true and righteous [are] thy judgments.

²³ And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness, and all manner of disease among the people.

¹⁵ And he taught in the synagogues, being glorified of all. ¹⁶ But he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and As the custom was, he went into the synagogue, on the sabbath day, and stood up to read.

⁴⁴ And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.

³² As they went out, behold they brought to him a dumb man possessed with a dæmon. ³³ And when the dæmon was cast out, the dumb spake: and the multitudes marveled, saying, It was never so seen in Israel.

²¹ And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, from a Child.

² And certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had gone seven daemons.

²⁷ And they went forth to land. And a man met him out of the city, who had daemons a long time, and ware no clothes, neither abode in an house, but in the tombs.

⁴³ And a woman who had a bloody flux twelve years, whom no one was able to cure,

¹⁶ And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath-day?

⁵ But a man was there, who had lived thirty and eight years in his infirmity. ⁶ When Jesus saw him lie, and know that he had been now a long time so, he saith to him, Wilt thou be made whole?

¹⁹ And they asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how therefore doth he now see? ²⁰ His parents answered them and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind: ²¹ But by that means he now seeth, we know not, or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age, ask him, he shall speak for himself.

² And lo a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entred into the temple.

²² For the man was above forty years old, on whom the miracle of healing was shewed.

⁸ And there sat a certain man, impotent in his feet, from his mother's womb, who never had walked. ⁹ The same heard Paul speak; being in fear: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, ¹⁰ Said with a loud voice, I say to thee, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Stand up right on thy feet. [And] he presently [immediately] leaped and walked.

¹⁶ And when the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with dæmons: and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all that were sick:

⁸ But he knowing their thoughts, saith to the man which had the withered hand, Rise up, and stand in the midst. And he arose, and stood up. ⁹ But Jesus said unto them, I ask you, Is it lawful on the sabbath to do good, or to do evil?to save life, or to destroy [it]?But they held their peace. ¹⁰ And looking round about upon them all, in anger, he saith unto the man, stretch forth thy hand. And he stretched it forth; and his hand was restored whole as the other also. And he said unto them, that the son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

²³ Beseeching him, and saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death, Come and touch her with thy hands that she may be healed, and she shall live.

⁵ And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed [them].

²⁵ After that, he put hands again upon his eyes, and he began to look up: and he was restored, so as to see all things clearly,

¹⁸ And they shall take up serpents in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not at all hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

⁴⁰ Now when the sun was set, all they that had any sick with divers diseases, brought them onto him: and he laid his hands on every one, and healed them.

¹⁴ And when he saw them, he said unto them, Be ye healed: Go shew your selves unto the priests. And it came to pass that as they went, they were cleansed. ¹⁵ And one of them when he saw that he was cleansed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God. ¹⁶ And fell down on [his] face at his feet: and he was a Samaritan. ¹⁷ And Jesus answering said to them, Were there not ten cleansed? where [are] the nine?

⁴³ And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw [it], gave glory to God.

¹⁷ And Ananias went away and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him, said, Brother Saul, the Lord hath sent me, Jesus that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

² But when the Pharisees saw them, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath.

¹⁰ And behold, there was a man there who had his hand withered: and they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbaths? that they might accuse him. ¹¹ But he said unto them, What man is there among you, that shall have one sheep, and is shall fall into a pit on the sabbath, does he not lay hold on it, and lift [it] out? ¹² How much then is a man better than a sheep? wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbaths.

² And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath, that they might accuse him. ³ And he saith unto the man who had the withered hand, Stand in the midst. ⁴ And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? but they held their peace. ⁵ And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the deadness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored presently. ⁶ And the Pharisees went out, and took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

²² And there cometh a certain ruler of the synagogue, and fell at his feet,

⁷ The scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal, that they might find to accuse him.

¹¹ And they were filled with madness; and reasoned one with another, how they might destroy him.

⁴¹ And a man named Jairus, and he a ruler of the synagogue came: and fell down at Jesus feet, and besought him to come to his house;

³ And Jesus answering, spake unto the lawyers and Pharisees, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath, or not? ⁴ And they held their peace. And he took and healed him, and let [him] go: ⁵ And said unto them, Which of you shall have a sheep or an ox fallen into a pit on the sabbath-day and will not straightway pull him out? ⁶ But they did not give him answer to these things.

¹⁵ The man therefore departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him whole. ¹⁶ And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, because he had done these things on the sabbath.

¹⁴ And it was the sabbath when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes. ¹⁵ Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. But He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see. ¹⁶ Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he observeth not the sabbath. But others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such signs? And there was a division among them.

¹⁵ And after the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men [and] brethren, if ye have any word of wisdom, for exhortation to the people, say on.

⁸ And Crispus the chief ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house: and many of the Corinthians hearing, believed, and were baptized, believing on God, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment-seat.

² For I bear them record, that they have a Zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

⁵ Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye.

⁷ Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesie of you, saying,

¹⁴ Let these that are blind alone: they be blind leaders. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

¹³ But wo unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because ye shut up the kingdom of the heavens before men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to enter.

²⁸ Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisie and iniquity.

⁴² Either how canst thou say to [thy] brother, Let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye; and behold a beam is in thine eye?Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote out of thy brothers eye.

¹ But as many people encompassed him round about, insomuch that they crouded one upon another, he began to say unto the disciples, First of all beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisie.

⁵ And said unto them, Which of you shall have a sheep or an ox fallen into a pit on the sabbath-day and will not straightway pull him out?

²¹ Jesus answered and said, I have done one work, and ye all marvel at it, ²² Moses gave unto you circumcision: not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers: and ye on the sabbath circumcise a man. ²³ If therefore a man on the sabbath receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; how are ye angry at me, because I have perfectly cured a man on the sabbath? ²⁴ Judge not according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

²⁰ But Peter said unto him, The money go to perdition with thee, because thou hast thought that the free gift of God may he purchased with money. ²¹ Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: thy heart is not right before God. ²² Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray the Lord, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. ²³ For I see that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and the bond of iniquity.

⁹ Then Saul who also [is] Paul filled with the Holy Ghost, looked earnestly at him, ¹⁰ And said, O full of all subtilty and all knavery, thou son of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the ways of the Lord which are right?

¹⁰ Then said Jesus unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only thou shalt serve.

⁸ Bring forth therefore fruit worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within your selves, We have Abraham for [our] father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise children unto Abraham.

⁹ But Jesus said unto him, that This day is salvation in this house, forsomuch as he also is the son of Abraham.

⁴⁴ Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do: he was a murderer of men from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

²⁶ Men, Brethren, children of the family of Abraham, and whosoever among us feareth God, to us is the word of this salvation sent forth.

¹² And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham. ¹³ For the promise that he should be the heir of the world, [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. ¹⁴ For if they which are of the law [be] heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect. ¹⁵ Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, [there is] no transgression. ¹⁶ Therefore [it is] of the faith of Jesus, by grace; to the end that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all,

²⁶ And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

⁶ But they did not give him answer to these things.

³⁷ And when they were come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoyce and praise God, for all the things that they had seen done. ³⁸ Saying, Blessed [be] he that cometh in the name of the Lord: Blessed be the King. Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. ³⁹ But some of the Pharisees from among the multitude, said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. ⁴⁰ But he answered and said unto them, I say unto you, that if these should hold their peace, the stones would cry out.

⁴⁸ And found not what they might do to him: for all the people were attentive to hear him.

⁴⁰ And after that, they durst not ask him any question at all.

¹⁷ The multitude therefore that were with him bear record that he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead. ¹⁸ For this cause the multitude also met him, for that they heard that he had done this sign.

⁹ And all the people saw him walking about and praising God. ¹⁰ And they knew him, that it was he who sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. ¹¹ And as Peter and John went out, he went out together with them, taking hold of them. But those that were amazed stood in the cloister called Solomon's.

²¹ So when they had further threatned them, they let them go, not finding a cause why they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.

⁹ But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all, as theirs also was.

¹⁶ Having a good conscience; that whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsly accuse your good conversation in Christ.

²⁴ Another parable he put forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of the heavens is likened unto a man who sowed good seed in his own field:

³¹ Another parable spake he unto them, saying, The kingdom of the heavens is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field. ³² Which in deed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is greater than herbs and becometh a tree: so that the birds of heaven come and lodge in the branches thereof.

²⁶ And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as a man, that should cast seed upon the ground,

³⁰ And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it? ³¹ [It is] like a grain of mustard, which when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be upon the earth. ³² It becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches, so that the fowls of the heaven may lodge under the shadow of it. ³³ And with many such parables spake he the word as they were able to hear [it]. ³⁴ But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded them to his disciples.

³¹ Whereunto then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like?

²⁰ Whereunto is the kingdom of God like? and to what shall I compare it?

²¹ Neither shall they say, Lo here, or, lo there: do not believe [them], for behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

²⁰ And he saith unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye shall have faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

³¹ [It is] like a grain of mustard, which when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be upon the earth. ³² It becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches, so that the fowls of the heaven may lodge under the shadow of it.

⁶ But he said unto them, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might have said unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it should have removed;and unto this sycamine-tree, be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

⁴¹ Then they that believed his word, were baptized; and the same day there were added about three thousand souls.

⁴ But many of them which heard the word, believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

¹⁴ Symeon hath declared how God at the first hath visited the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. ¹⁵ And to this will agree the words of the prophets, as it is written, ¹⁶ After these things I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down: and I will build again, the ruins thereof, and I will erect it again. ¹⁷ That the residue of men might seek out God, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who will do these things. ¹⁸ Known unto the Lord is his work from the beginning of the world.

²⁰ And when they heard [it,] they glorified the Lord, saying, Thou seest, brother, how many ten-thousands in Judea there are who have believed, and they are all zealots of the law.

¹⁹ Through his mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem unto Illyricum and round about, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded, and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdom of this world is become the kingdom of our Lord, and of his Christ, and he shall reign for ever and ever.

³³ Another parable spoke he unto them, The kingdom of the heavens is like unto leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

¹⁴ But whosoever shall drink of the water that I shall give him, will never thirst: but the water that I shall give him, wilt be in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life.

⁶ Your glorying it not good: Know ye not that a little leaven corrupteth the whole lump?

⁶ Being confident of this very thing, that he who hath begun a good work in you, will perform [it] until the day of Jesus Christ;

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge, and all judgment; ¹⁰ That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere, and without offence till the day of Christ; ¹¹ Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ unto the glory and praise of Christ. [God.]

²³ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly: and may your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. ²⁴ Faithful [is] he that calleth you, who also will do [it].

²¹ Whrefore lay apart all filthiness, and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

³⁵ And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness, and every disease.

⁶ And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching,

³² And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem: and Jesus went with them; and they were amazed. And he took again the twelve, and began to say what things should happen unto him, ³³ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man shall be delivered unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes: and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the gentiles; ³⁴ And they shall mock him, and shall spit upon him, and after three days he shall rise again.

⁴³ But he said unto them, that I must preach the kingdom of God in other cities also; for therefore am I sent. ⁴⁴ And he preached in the synagogues of Galilee.

⁵¹ And it came to pass, when the days were fulfilled that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

³⁸ Jesus of Nazareth; whom God anointed with the Holy Ghost, and with power: He went about doing good, and healing all that were brought into subjection by the devil: for God was with him.

¹⁴ Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

²⁵ But when the disciples heard [it], they were exceedingly amazed, afraid, saying, Who then can be saved?

¹⁶ So the last shall be first, and the first last: for the called are many, but the chosen are few.

¹⁴ For the called are many, but the chosen are few.

³ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the age? ⁴ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man may deceive you. ⁵ For many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ: and deceive many.

⁴ Tell us when these things shall be and what the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? ⁵ And Jesus answering, began to say to them, Take heed lest any one deceive you.

¹³ And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. ¹⁴ And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge over you? ¹⁵ And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of all sort of covetousness; for life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which a man possesseth.

⁷ And the disciples asked him, saying, Master, When will these things be? and what will be the sign of thy coming? ⁸ But he said, See that ye be not deceived: for many will come in my name, saying, I am He, and the time draweth near: go ye not after them.

²¹ -- ²² Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he remain thus until I come, what [is that] to thee? Follow thou me.

⁷ And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. ⁸ But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

¹³ Enter ye in at the strait gate; for wide [is] the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be who go in thereat: ¹⁴ Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow the way which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

¹² And from the days of John the Baptist, until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

¹⁸ For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brothers wife. ¹⁹ Therefore Herodias watched him, and would have killed him, and could not. ²⁰ For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a just and holy man, and observed him, and when he heard him, he did many things, and heard him gladly;

³⁶ But Watch ye and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and ye shall stand before the Son of man.

²⁷ Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto eternal life, which the Son of man giveth unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

³⁴ Ye shall seek me, and shall not find [me]: and where I am, ye cannot come.

²¹ Then said he again unto them, I go away and ye shall seek me, and shall die in your sins: whither I go ye cannot come.

³³ Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, that Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say unto you.

³¹ But Israel, which followed after the law, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. ³² Wherefore? Because it was not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law: They stumbled at that stumbling stone; ³³ As it is written, Behold I lay in Sion a stumbling stone, and rock of scandal, and he that believeth on him, shall not be ashamed.

³ For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

²⁴ Know ye not that they who run in a race, run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run that ye may obtain. ²⁵ And every one that striveth for the mastery, is temperate in all things: Now, they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. ²⁶ I therefore so run, not as uncertainly: so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: ²⁷ But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means when I have preached to others, I my self should be a castaway.

¹² Wherefore my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. ¹³ For it is God who worketh in you, both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure.

²⁹ Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

¹¹ Let us labour therefore, Brethren, to enter into that rest, lest any man fall from the same example of truth.

¹⁰ Wherefore the rather, Brethren, give diligence that by your good works you may make your comfort and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall not fall:

²¹ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens: but he that doeth the will of my father who is in the heavens, he shall enter into the kingdom of the heavens. ²² Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out dæmons? and in thy name done many wonderful works? ²³ And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me all ye that work iniquity.

¹⁰ And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and they that were ready, went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. ¹¹ Afterwards came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. ¹² But he answered and said, Verify I say unto you, I know you not.

⁴¹ Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into eternal fire, which my Father hath prepared for the devil and his angels:

⁴⁶ And why say ye to me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

²⁷ And he shall say, I tell you, I never knew you: depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

² For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in a day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now the day of salvation.

⁷ Wherefore, as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, ⁸ Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

¹⁷ For ye know how that afterward when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

⁵ Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away:

¹⁶ They profess that they know God; but in works they deny [him], being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

¹² But he answered and said, Verify I say unto you, I know you not.

²⁵ When once the master of the house shall be come in, and shut the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence you are:

³ But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

⁹ But now after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

¹⁹ Nevertheless, the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of the Lord depart from iniquity.

¹¹ And I say unto you, that many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens. ¹² But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

⁴² And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

⁵⁰ And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

¹³ Then said the king to his servants, Take him by his hands and feet, and cast [him] into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth,

⁵¹ And shall cut him in sunder, and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

³⁰ And cast ye forth the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

¹⁵ And thou, Capharnaum, shalt thou be exalted to heaven?or shalt thou be depressed to hades.

¹⁵ And when one of them that sat with him, heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

²³ And in hades he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus resting in his bosom.

⁴² And turning to the Lord, he said to him, Remember me in the day of thy coming. ⁴³ But Jesus answered and said unto him, that rebuked [the other,] Be of good courage, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

⁵ A manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

¹¹ For so an entrance shall be ministred unto you abundantly, into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

⁸ But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

¹⁵ Without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

¹¹ And I say unto you, that many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of the heavens.

²⁷ And then shall he send the angel, and shall gather together the elect from the four winds, from the uttermost parts of the earth, to the uttermost parts of heaven.

²⁸ Be it known therefore unto you, that this salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and [that] they will hear it.

⁶ That the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs; and of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ, by the gospel: ⁷ Whereof I have been made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me, by the effectual working of his power. ⁸ Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

⁶ Which is come unto you, as [it is] in all the world, and bringeth forth fruit, and increaseth, as also in you, since the day ye heard [it], and have acknowledged the grace of God in truth.

²³ If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, which was preached to all the creation that is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister.

⁹ After this I beheld a great multitude, and no man could number them, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, cloathed with white robes, and palms in their hands; ¹⁰ And they cry with a loud voice, saying. Salvation to our God who sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

³⁰ But many first shall be last; and the last first.

²⁸ But what think you? A man had two sons, and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in the vineyard. ²⁹ He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented and went into the vineyard. ³⁰ But he came to the other, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, Sir; and went not. ³¹ Whether of them two did the will of his father? They say, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, that the publicans and harlots go ito the kingdom of God before you.

³¹ But many first, shall be last and the last, first.

¹ Now at that time Herod the tetrarch heard of the fame of Jesus.

¹ Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Cesar, Pontius Pilate being procurator of Judea, and Herod [being tetrarch of Galilee].and his brother Philip tetrarch of Iturea, and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,

¹⁴ And king Herod heard, for his name was spread abroad, and they said, That John the Baptist was risen from the dead, and therefore mighty works are done by him.

²⁶ The king when he heard was exceeding sorry, yet For his oaths sake, and for their sakes who sat with him, he would not refuse her. ²⁷ But immediately he sent an executioner, and commanded his head to be brought: and he went and beheaded him in the prison, ²⁸ And brought the head in a dish, and gave [it] to the damsel: and the damsel gave [it] to her mother.

¹⁹ But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brothers wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done, ²⁰ Added also this above all, that he shut up John in prison.

⁷ Now Herod the tetrarch having heard what was done, he was perplexed, because it was said of some, that John was risen from the dead: ⁸ And of some, that Elias had appeared: [and] of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again. ⁹ And Herod said, John have I beheaded; But who is this of whom I hear these things? And he desired to see him.

⁸ And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long time, because he had heard of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him. ⁹ And he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing. ¹⁰ And the chief priests and scribes stood, and vehemently accused him. ¹¹ And Herod with his soldiers set him at nought, and mocked [him,] and arayed him in a shining robe, and sent him back to Pilate.

³² Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from the Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

⁸ His disciples say unto him, Rabbi, the Jews even now sought to stone thee; and goest thou thither again? ⁹ Jesus answered, Hath not the day twelve hours? If any one walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. ¹⁰ But if any one walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is not light in him.

⁴ I have glorified thee on the earth: And I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. ⁵ And now, O Father, glorifie thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had from thee before the world was.

³⁰ When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head and gave up the ghost.

¹⁰ For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

⁹ And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

²⁸ For the law maketh men priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath which was since the law the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

¹⁸ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man will be betrayed unto the chief priests, and unto the scribes, and they will condemn him to death,

¹¹ And many said, This is Jesus, the prophet of Nazareth, of Galilee.

⁵³ And they did not receive him, because his face was going to Jerusalem.

³⁴ Jesus saith unto them, My food is that I may do the will of him that sent me, and finish his work.

⁴ I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh when no one can work.

⁹ Jesus answered, Hath not the day twelve hours? If any one walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

⁵⁴ Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went unto the country Samphurein, near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with the disciples.

³⁵ Jesus therefore said unto them, Yet a little while is the light among you: walk therefore while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

²⁷ For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and her rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the scriptures of the prophets which are read every sabbath, even they have fulfilled [them] in condemning [him.]

³⁵ And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. ³⁶ Again therefore, he sent other servants, more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.

³ And sent forth his servants, to call them that were invited to the marriage feast, and they would not come.

⁶ And the remnant took his servants, and treated [them] injuriously, and slew [them].

³⁷ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them who are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth [her] chickens under her wings, and ye would not! ³⁸ Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. ³⁹ For I say unto you, that ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of God.

²⁸ And he was angry, and would not go in: But his father came out, and began to intreat him.

⁴¹ And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, ⁴² Saying, If thou also hadst known in this day, what things concern thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

⁴⁴ And will level thee even with the ground, and thy children; and they will not leave stone upon stone in this whole [city,] because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

²⁸ But Jesus turning unto them, said, Daughters of Jerusalem weep not for me, nor lament; but weep for your selves, and your children.

¹⁴ But ye oppressed the holy one, and the just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you, ¹⁵ And killed the prince of life, whom God raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

⁵² Which of the prophets have not they persecuted? and they have slain those who shewed before of the coming of the just one, of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

⁵⁹ And they stoned Stephen, invocating and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.

¹ And at that time there was a great persecution and affliction upon the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles, who tarried at Jerusalem.

²⁵ For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, for she is in bondage with her children. ²⁶ But Jerusalem which is above, is free, which is our mother.

⁸ And their deadbody[shall be] in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

⁹ And the multitudes that went before him, and that followed, cried saying, Hosanna to the son of David: blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the highest.

⁹ And they that went along, and they that followed, cried, saying, Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord: ¹⁰ And blessed [be] the kingdom of our father David, that cometh: Hosanna in the highest.

⁵ And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones, and gifts, he said, ⁶ Ye see these things; the days will come, in the which there shall not be left stone upon stone in the wall here, that shall not be thrown down.

²⁴ And they shall fall by the edge of the sword; and shall be led away captive unto all nations; and Jerusalem shall be troden down of the Gentiles; until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

³⁴ Ye shall seek me, and shall not find [me]: and where I am, ye cannot come. ³⁵ The Jews therefore said among themselves. Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersion of the Greeks, and teach the Greeks? ³⁶ What saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find [me]: and where I am, ye cannot come?

²² The Jews therefore said, Will he kill himself? because he saith, Whither I go ye cannot come. ²³ And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath, But I am from above: ye are of this world, I am not of this world. ²⁴ I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your Sins: for if ye believe not me that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.

¹³ Took branches of palm trees and went forth to meet him, and cried aloud, saying, Hosanna, blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel.

³⁵ Jesus therefore said unto them, Yet a little while is the light among you: walk therefore while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. ³⁶ While ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

¹⁹ Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more: but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. ²⁰ In that day ye shall know, that I [am] in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. ²¹ He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father: and I will love him, and will manifest my self to him. ²² Judas saith unto him, not Scarioth, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thy self unto us, and not unto the world? ²³ Jesus answered and said unto him, If any one love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and I will come unto him, and make my abode with him.

¹³ And set up false witnesses against him, who said, This Man ceaseth not to speak words against the holy place, and the law. ¹⁴ For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place, and will change the customs which Moses delivered us.

⁹ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart, that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ¹¹ For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him, shall by no means be ashamed. ¹² For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all, is rich unto all that call upon him. ¹³ For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. ¹⁴ How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? ¹⁵ And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

¹⁵ But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart, ¹⁶ Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. ¹⁷ Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord [is, is] liberty. ¹⁸ But we all with open face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image, from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.
