¹ And they went and bought sweet spices, that they might anoint him. ² And early in the morning, the first [day] of the week, they came unto the sepulchre, at the rising of the sun. ³ And they said among themselves, Who shall roll away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? for it was very great. ⁴ And they come and find the stone rolled away. ⁵ And entring into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted. ⁶ And the Angel saith unto them, Be not affrighted: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified: he is risen, he is not here: behold his place where they laid him. ⁷ But go and tell his disciples and Peter, that lo I go before you into Galilee: there shall ye see me, as I said unto you. ⁸ And they went out, and fled from the sepulchre; for fear and extasy seized upon them, and they were amazed, they said nothing to any one; for they were afraid. ⁹ NOW when he was risen early, the first [day] of the week, he made himself known first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven dæmons. ¹⁰ She went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept. ¹¹ And they heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, and they did not believe him. ¹² And after, he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. ¹³ And they went away and told [it] unto the rest, neither believed they them. ¹⁴ But afterward he appeared unto the eleven, as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief, and hardness of heart, because they believed not them who had seen him after he was risen. ¹⁵ And he said unto them, Go ye into the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. ¹⁶ For he that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved; but he that believeth not, shall be condemned. ¹⁷ And these signs shall follow them that believe, in my name shall they call out dæmons: they shall speak with new tongues. ¹⁸ And they shall take up serpents in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not at all hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. ¹⁹ So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. ²⁰ And they went forth and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

¹ In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn towards the first [day] of the week, came Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, to see the sepulchre. ² And behold, there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven, And came and rolled away the stone, and sat upon [it]. ³ His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow. ⁴ And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead. ⁵ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, who was crucified. ⁶ He is not here; for he is risen, as he said: come see the place where the Lord lay. ⁷ And go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen; and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee, there shall ye see him; I have told you. ⁸ And they departed quickly from the sepulchre, with fear and great joy, and did run to bring his disciples word. ⁹ And behold, Jesus met them, saying Hail. And they came, and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. ¹⁰ Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall ye see me.

³ And Jesus being in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster-box of ointment; and she brake the alabaster-box, and poured it on his head.

⁸ She hath done what she could: she is come aforehand to anoint my body to the burying.

⁴⁰ There were women looking from afar: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less, and of Joses, and Salome;

⁴² And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath.

⁴⁷ And Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, beheld the place where he was laid.

⁴ And they come and find the stone rolled away. ⁵ And entring into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were affrighted.

⁸ And they went out, and fled from the sepulchre; for fear and extasy seized upon them, and they were amazed, they said nothing to any one; for they were afraid.

⁵⁴ And when he had laid him, he put to the sepulchre a stone which twenty men could hardly roll.

⁵⁶ And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath-day.

²⁵ Now there stood by the cross of Jesus, his mother, and his mothers sister, Mary [the] daughter of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

³¹ The Jews therefore, because it [was] the preparation, that the bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath, because it was the preparation, for that was the great Sabbath day, besought Pilate that their legs might be broken, and they might be taken away.

³⁹ But there came also Nicodemus, who at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought a mixture of myrrh, and aloes, about an hundred litrae. ⁴⁰ They therefore took the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes, with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

¹ Now the first [day] of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, while it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. ² She runneth therefore and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulcher, and we know not where they have laid him. ³ Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. ⁴ Now they ran both together: and the other disciple out ran Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. ⁵ And [he] stooping down, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. ⁶ Simon Peter therefore came also following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lying, ⁷ And the napkin that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in one place by it self. ⁸ Then went in therefore that other disciple who came first to the sepulchre, and he saw and believed not. ⁹ For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead. ¹⁰ the disciples therefore went away again unto their own homes.

⁶⁰ And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed. ⁶¹ And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre. ⁶² Now the next day that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, ⁶³ Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, that after three days I will rise. ⁶⁴ Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure untill the third day, lest his disciples come and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. ⁶⁵ Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch, go your way make [it] sure as you know [how to do]. ⁶⁶ So they went and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, with a watch.

⁴⁶ Now Joseph had bought fine linen, and he took him, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre, and departed. ⁴⁷ And Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, beheld the place where he was laid.

⁴⁹ But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been an apparition, and they all cried out, ⁵⁰ And were terrifyed, And he talked [with them], and saying, Be of good cheer, it is I, be not afraid.

¹⁵ And straitway all the multitude, when they beheld Jesus, were greatly amazed, and rejoycing, saluted him.

¹² And when Zacharias saw [him], he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

²⁹ And she was troubled at the saying, and considered in her self what sort of salutation this should be. ³⁰ And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: For thou hast found favour with God.

³ And they entred in, and found not the body. ⁴ And it came to pass, as they were perplexed about it; behold two men stood by them in a shining garment. ⁵ And [they were] afraid, and bowed down [their] faces to the earth; But they said unto them, Why seek ye him that is alive among the dead?

⁸ Then went in therefore that other disciple who came first to the sepulchre, and he saw and believed not.

¹¹ But Mary stood without at the sepulchre, weeping: As therefore she wept, she stooped down unto the sepulchre, ¹² And seeth two angels, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain:

⁴⁰ For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whales belly: so shall the Son of man also be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

²⁶ But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, That it is an apparition; and they cried our for fear. ²⁷ But straightway he spake unto them, saying, Be of good courage, It is I, be not afraid.

⁴ And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead. ⁵ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, who was crucified. ⁶ He is not here; for he is risen, as he said: come see the place where the Lord lay. ⁷ And go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen; and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee, there shall ye see him; I have told you.

²⁴ Saying, What have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the holy one of God.

⁹ And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no one what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead. ¹⁰ But they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what it was when he should rise from the dead?

³⁴ And they shall mock him, and shall spit upon him, and after three days he shall rise again.

⁴ And it came to pass, as they were perplexed about it; behold two men stood by them in a shining garment. ⁵ And [they were] afraid, and bowed down [their] faces to the earth; But they said unto them, Why seek ye him that is alive among the dead? ⁶ Remember how many things he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, ⁷ That the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. ⁸ And they remembred his words,

²⁰ How the chief priests and our rulers delivered this man unto the judgement of death, and have crucified him. ²¹ But we trusted that it was He who was to redeem Israel: and with all these things to day is the third day since these things were done. ²² Yea, and certain women also made us astonished, who were early at the sepulchre: ²³ And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive. ²⁴ And certain of them who were with us, went to the sepulchre, and found as the women said, But him we have not seen. ²⁵ But he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart as to all that the prophets have spoken! ²⁶ That Christ ought to have suffered these things, and to have entred into his glory? ²⁷ And he began from Moses, and all the prophets, to expound unto them in the scriptures, the things concerning himself.

⁴⁶ And said unto them, Thus it is written, that Christ should suffer, and rise the third day.

¹⁹ Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I wilt raise it up. ²⁰ Then said the Jews, Forty and six years has this temple been built, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? ²¹ But he spake of the temple of his body. ²² When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembred that he had said this: and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

¹⁹ And Pilate wrote a title and put on the cross, And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. ²⁰ This title therefore read many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the city: and it was written in Hebrew, in Greek, in Latin.

²² Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, aman approved of God among you, by miracles and wonders and signs, all which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye your selves know: ²³ Him, being given you by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by a wicked hand have fastned to a cross, and slain:

¹⁰ Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

³⁸ Jesus of Nazareth; whom God anointed with the Holy Ghost, and with power: He went about doing good, and healing all that were brought into subjection by the devil: for God was with him. ³⁹ And we [are] his witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; and they slew [him,] and hanged [him] on a tree: ⁴⁰ Him God raised up the third day, and granted him to be made manifest:

³ For I delivered unto you first of all, that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures: ⁴ And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures: ⁵ And that he was seen of Cephas, and after those things of the eleven. ⁶ Afterward he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once: of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. ⁷ After that he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead: and he laid his right hand upon me, saying. Fear not; I am the first begotten, and the last: ¹⁸ He that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore; and have the keys of hades and of death.

³² But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

⁷ And go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen; and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee, there shall ye see him; I have told you.

¹⁰ Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall ye see me.

¹⁶ Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, unto a mountain whereJesus had appointed them. ¹⁷ And when they saw him, they worshipped: but some doubted.

²⁸ But after I am risen I will go before you unto Galilee.

⁵⁰ And they all forsook him and fled.

⁶⁶ And as Peter was in the palace, there cometh to him one of the maids of the high priest. ⁶⁷ And seeing Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, Thou wast with Jesus of Nazareth. ⁶⁸ But he denied, saying, I neither know nor understand what thou sayst. He went out into the porch; and the cock crew. ⁶⁹ And the maid seeing him again, he denyed again, and she began to say to them that stood by, This is [one] of them. ⁷⁰ And a little after, they that stood by said again, Surely thou art [one] of them: for thou art a Galilean. ⁷¹ But he began to curse, and to say, I know not the man of whom ye speak. ⁷² And presently the cock crew the second time. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said. And when he thought thereon, he began to weep.

¹ After these things, He shewed himself again to his disciples at the sea of Tiberias; But thus shewed he [himself]:

³¹ He was seen many days of them who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are till now his witnesses unto the people.

⁵ And that he was seen of Cephas, and after those things of the eleven.

⁷ So that contrariwise, [ye ought] rather to forgive and comfort, lest perhaps such an one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow.

⁸ And they departed quickly from the sepulchre, with fear and great joy, and did run to bring his disciples word.

⁴ Carry neither purse, nor bag, nor shoes: and salute no one by the way.

⁹ And returned, and told all these things unto the eleven, and all the rest. ¹⁰ Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary [the mother] of James, and other [women] with them, told these things unto the apostles, ¹¹ And these words seemed to them as an idle tale, and they believed them not.

²² Yea, and certain women also made us astonished, who were early at the sepulchre: ²³ And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive. ²⁴ And certain of them who were with us, went to the sepulchre, and found as the women said, But him we have not seen.

³⁷ But they were terrifyed and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

⁵⁶ Among whom was Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and of Joseph, and the mother of Zebedee's children.

² And certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had gone seven daemons.

¹⁰ Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary [the mother] of James, and other [women] with them, told these things unto the apostles,

¹² And seeth two angels, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain:

¹⁴ When she had thus said, she turned her self back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it is Jesus. ¹⁵ Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? she supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou hast taken him away, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. ¹⁶ Jesus saith unto her, Mary. But She turned her self, and saith unto him, Rabboni, which is to say, Lord, Master. ¹⁷ Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not: for I have not yet ascended to the Father: Go therefore to the brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God. ¹⁸ Mary Magdalene cometh and telleth his disciples, that she had seen the Lord, and declared to them what he had said to her. ¹⁹ The same day therefore at evening, being the first [day] of the week, and when the doors were shut, where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you.

⁷ But upon the first [day] of the week, when we the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow, [and] continued his speech until midnight:

² Upon the first [day] of the week, let every one of you lay by him in store, as he hath been prospered, that there be no gatherings when I come.

¹⁰ I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

¹⁵ And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridegroom fast, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the day will come when the bridegroom shall be taken from them and then they shall fast in those days.

³⁰ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man who is in the heavens, and then shall all the tribes of the land mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming upon the clouds of heaven, with great power and glory.

⁷² And presently the cock crew the second time. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said. And when he thought thereon, he began to weep.

¹⁷ And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have among your selves, walking sad?

⁶ But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

²⁰ Verily, verily I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament; The world shall rejoyce. Ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. ²¹ A woman when she is in travail, hath sorrow, because her day is come: but assoon as she has brought forth the child, she remembreth no more the sorrow, for joy that a man is born into the world. ²² And ye now therefore shall have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one taketh from you.

¹⁸ Mary Magdalene cometh and telleth his disciples, that she had seen the Lord, and declared to them what he had said to her.

¹⁹ And he answered them, and saith, O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? how long must I suffer you? bring him unto me.

¹⁴ But afterward he appeared unto the eleven, as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief, and hardness of heart, because they believed not them who had seen him after he was risen.

¹³ But there were two of them who went that same day to a village whose name was Oulammaus, which was from Jerusalem threescore furlongs. ¹⁴ And they talked together of all these things which had happened. ¹⁵ And it came to pass, that while they communed, and enquired, Jesus drew near, and went with them. ¹⁶ But their eyes were holden, that they should not know him. ¹⁷ And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have among your selves, walking sad? ¹⁸ And one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, not knowing the things which are come to pass in it in these days? ¹⁹ But he said unto him; What things? ¹⁴ This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, since he was risen from the dead.

³¹ But he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be perswaded, though one rise from the dead, and go away to them.

²⁵ The other disciples therefore said unto him, that We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, put my hands into his Side, and put my finger into the print of the nails, I will not believe.

²⁰ Then began he to upbraid the cities wherein most of his mighty works were done, because they repented not.

¹⁶ And he said, Are ye also yet without understanding? ¹⁷ Do not ye understand, that whatsoever entreth in at the mouth, goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

⁸ When Jesus perceived [it], he said, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among your selves, because ye have no bread? ⁹ Do ye not yet understand, neither remember when there were five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? ¹⁰ Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? ¹¹ How, do ye not understand, that I spake [it] not concerning bread? Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the Sadducees,

²⁰ And he saith unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye shall have faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

¹⁸ And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entreth into the man, it cannot defile him?

¹⁷ And when Jesus knew [it], he saith unto them, Why reason ye in your hearts, because ye have no loaves of bread? perceive ye not yet, neither mind your heart is blinded? ¹⁸ Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? neither do ye remember?

¹¹ And they heard that he was alive, and had been seen of her, and they did not believe him. ¹² And after, he appeared in another form unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. ¹³ And they went away and told [it] unto the rest, neither believed they them.

²⁵ But he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart as to all that the prophets have spoken!

³⁶ And as they thus spake, he himself stood in the midst of the disciples. ³⁷ But they were terrifyed and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. ³⁸ But he said unto them, Why are ye troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? ³⁹ Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I my self: handle me and see, for a spirit hath not bones and flesh as ye see me have. ⁴⁰ -- ⁴¹ And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said, Have ye here any meat? ⁴² And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish. ⁴³ And he took [it,] and did eat before them.

¹⁹ The same day therefore at evening, being the first [day] of the week, and when the doors were shut, where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you. ²⁰ And when he had so said, he shewed [his] hands and his side to them. His disciples therefore were glad when they saw the Lord.

²⁷ Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and put unto my side; and be not faithless, but believing.

⁷ Wherefore, as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, ⁸ Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

¹⁵ While it is said, To-day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. ¹⁶ For some when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. ¹⁷ But with whom was he grieved forty years? [was it] not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness? ¹⁸ And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not? ¹⁹ So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; be zealous therefore, and repent.

⁵ These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, and said, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into a city of Samaritans enter ye not. ⁶ But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

¹⁹ Go ye now and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them unto the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

¹⁰ And the gospel must first be preached unto all nations.

¹⁰ And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, and it shall be to all people. ¹¹ For unto you is born this day, in the city of David, a Saviour, Who is Christ the Lord.

³¹ Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people: ³² A light for a revelation [to the Gentiles] and the glory of thy people Israel.

²¹ So the servant came, and shewed his lord all these things. And the master of the house being angry, said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring hither the poor, and the maimed, and the lame, and the blind. ²² And the servant said, what thou hast commanded is done, and yet there is room. ²³ And the lord said unto his servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

⁴⁷ And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name, as far as all nations;beginning at Jerusalem. ⁴⁸ And ye are also witnesses of these things.

¹⁶ Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you, that you should go and bring forth much fruit, and your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

²¹ He therefore said to them again, Peace be unto you: as the Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

⁸ But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

¹⁸ But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

²⁶ But now is made manifest, by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.

¹⁷ And came, and preached peace to those who were afar off, and to those that were nigh.

⁶ Which is come unto you, as [it is] in all the world, and bringeth forth fruit, and increaseth, as also in you, since the day ye heard [it], and have acknowledged the grace of God in truth.

²³ If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, which was preached to all the creation that is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister.

¹⁴ And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father sent the Son, the Saviour of the World.

⁶ And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people.

¹⁵ Saying, The times are fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe in the gospel.

¹² Those by the wayside, are they that follow: [then] cometh the devil, and taketh the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.

¹² As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God; to them that believe on his name: ¹³ They were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, not of the will of man, but of God.

⁵ Jesus answered, Verily verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Holy Spirit, be cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.

¹⁵ That every one who believeth in him, should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁶ For God hath so loved the world, that he hath given his only begotten Son, that every one who believeth on him, should not perish, but have eternal life.

¹⁸ He that believeth on him shall not be judged: but he that believeth not, is judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. ¹⁹ And this is the judgement, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

³⁶ That he who believeth on the Son, may have eternal life: But he that believeth not the Son, shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

²⁴ Verily verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath eternal life, and shall not come into judgement; but is passed from death unto life.

²⁹ Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye may believe on him whom he hath sent.

³⁵ Jesus therefore said unto them, I am the bread of life; he that cometh to me, shall not hunger at all; and he that believeth on me, shall not thirst at all.

⁴⁰ For this is the will of my Father that sent me, that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

³⁷ In the last day, that great [day] of the feast, Jesus stood, and cried, saying, If any one thirst, let him come and drink. ³⁸ He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

²⁴ I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your Sins: for if ye believe not me that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.

²⁵ Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; ²⁶ And whosoever liveth, and believeth on me, shall never die. Believest thou this?

⁴⁶ I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me, should not abide in darkness. ⁴⁷ And if any one hear my words, and keep them not, I judge him not: for I came not that I might judge the world, but that I might save the world. ⁴⁸ He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

³¹ But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that believing ye might have eternal life in his name.

³⁸ But Peter saith unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

⁴¹ Then they that believed his word, were baptized; and the same day there were added about three thousand souls.

³⁶ And as they went on the way, they came unto a certain water; and the Eunuch said, See water, what doth forbid me to be baptized? ³⁷ And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayst. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. ³⁸ And he commanded the chariot to stand: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. ³⁹ And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.

⁴³ To him witness all the prophets, that through his name whosoever believeth in him, shall receive remission of sins.

³⁹ By him therefore every one that believes is justified before God, from all things by repentance, from which we could not be justified by the law of Moses.

⁴⁶ But Paul and Barnabas waxed bold,and said unto them, The word of God was to be first spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge your selves unworthy of eternal life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles.

³⁰ And brought them out, and securing the rest, he said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? ³¹ And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. ³² And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, with all that were in his house.

¹⁶ And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on his name.

⁶ God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?

²⁴ But for us also to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead,

⁹ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart, that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ¹¹ For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him, shall by no means be ashamed. ¹² For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all, is rich unto all that call upon him. ¹³ For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. ¹⁴ How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

⁸ In a flame of fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus:

¹² That they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

³⁸ Now the just shall live by my faith: but if he draw back, my foul shall have no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition: but of them that believe, to the saving of the soul.

²¹ Who by him are faithful unto God that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.

²¹ The which figure baptism doth also now save you: not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the stipulation of a good conscience towards God, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

¹⁰ He that believeth on the Son of God, hath the record in himself: he that believeth not the Son hath made himself a liar, because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. ¹¹ And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life: and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that hath the Son, hath life; he that hath not the Son of God, hath not life. ¹³ These things have I written unto you that ye may know that you who believe on the name of the Son of God have eternal life; and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

¹⁵ And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire.

⁸ But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

³⁸ John answered him and said, Master, we saw one casting out dæmons in thy name, who followeth not with us; and we forbad [him].

¹⁷ And the seventy two returned with joy, saying, Lord, even the daemons are subject unto us through thy name.

¹² Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do, shall he do also, and greater than these shall he do; because I go unto the Father.

⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. ⁵ [Now] there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. ⁶ And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, and they heard every one speak in their [own] languages. ⁷ And they were amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these who speak, Galileans? ⁸ And how hear we every man in our tongue, wherein we were born? ⁹ Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, in Judea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, ¹⁰ Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt also, and in the parts of Libya, about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, ¹¹ Cretes, and Arabians; we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.

³³ Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured out upon you this, which ye now both see and hear.

¹⁶ There came also a multitude [out] of the cities together round about unto Jerusalem, bringing the sick, and them who were vexed with unclean spirits: who were all healed.

⁷ Unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

⁴⁶ For they heard them speaking with other tongues, and magnifying God. But Peter said,

¹⁸ And this did she many days. But Paul turned to the spirit, and being grieved said, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out immediately.

⁶ And when Paul had laid [his] hands upon them, the Holy Ghost presently fell on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.

¹² So that from his body were carried unto the sick, handkerchiefs or aprons also, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out. ¹³ Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call overthem who had evil spirits, the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, I adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. ¹⁴ Among whom were also the sons of Sceva a Priest, who would do the same, having the custom to exorcise such persons. And when they had entred in to the Dæmoniack, they began to call on [that] name, saying, We charge thee by Jesus whom Paul preacheth, to go out. ¹⁵ But the evil spirit answered [and] said to them, Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are ye? ¹⁶ And the man in whom the evil spirit was, leapt on them, overcame them, and prevailed against them both; so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

¹⁰ To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another the interpretation of tongues; to another kinds of tongues;

²⁸ And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, but thirdly teachers, miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.

³⁰ Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

¹ Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

² For he that speaketh with tongues, speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth [him]; howbeit in the Spirit he speaketh mysteries.

⁴ He that speaketh with tongues, edifieth himself: but he that prophesieth, edifieth the church. ⁵ I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather to prophesy: for greater [is] he that prophesieth, than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. ⁶ Now brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? ⁷ And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped? ⁸ For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? ⁹ So likewise you, except ye utter by the tongue agreeable words, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak unto the air. ¹⁰ There are, it may be, kinds of voices in the world, and none without signification. ¹¹ Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh, a barbarian; and he that speaketh a barbarian unto me, ¹² Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual [gifts], seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church. ¹³ And therefore let him that speaketh in a tongue pray so that he do interpret. ¹⁴ or if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. ¹⁵ What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with a meaning also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with a meaning also. ¹⁶ Else when thou shalt bless in the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned, say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest? ¹⁷ For thou verily givest thanks well, but the other is not edified. ¹⁸ I thank my God, I speak with a tongue more than you all; ¹⁹ Yet in the church I had rather speak five words by my mind, that I may teach others also, than ten thousand words in a tongue. ²⁰ Brethren, be not little children in understanding: howbeit, in malice be ye infants: but in understanding be perfect. ²¹ In the law it is written, With other tongues, and other lips, will I speak unto this people: and yet for all that, will they not hear me, saith the Lord. ²² Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesies, not for them that believe not, but for them that believe, ²³ If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? ²⁴ But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: ²⁵ And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; [and] falling down on [his] face, he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. ²⁶ How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a doctrine, hath a psalm, hath a revelation, hath a tongue, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done to edifying.

²³ Beseeching him, and saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death, Come and touch her with thy hands that she may be healed, and she shall live.

¹⁹ Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents, and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy;and nothing shall hurt you,

⁶ Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but what I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, Walk. ⁷ And he took him by the right hand, and raised [him] up, and immediately he stood up, and his feet and ankle-bones received strength. ⁸ And he leaping up, stood, and walked, rejoicing, and entered with them into the temple, praising God.

¹² But Peter answered and said unto them, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or piety we had done this?

¹⁶ And through the faith of his name, hath his name strengthened this man, whom ye see, and know that the faith which is by him, hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

²² For the man was above forty years old, on whom the miracle of healing was shewed.

³⁰ By stretching forth [thine] hand to heal: and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy Son Jesus.

¹⁵ Insomuch that they brought forth their sick into the streets, and laid [them] on beds and couches, that when Peter came, the shadow passing by, might overshadow some of them: for they were freed from every infirmity which every one had. ¹⁶ There came also a multitude [out] of the cities together round about unto Jerusalem, bringing the sick, and them who were vexed with unclean spirits: who were all healed.

¹⁷ And Ananias went away and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him, said, Brother Saul, the Lord hath sent me, Jesus that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. ¹⁸ And there fell from his eyes as it had been scales; and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

³⁴ And Peter said unto him, Eneas, The Lord Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

⁴⁰ But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down and prayed, and turning to the body, said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. ⁴¹ And he gave her his hand, and lift her up; and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. ⁴² And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord:

¹² So that from his body were carried unto the sick, handkerchiefs or aprons also, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out.

³ And when Paul had gathered a certain bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastned on his hand. ⁴ And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live. ⁵ And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm. ⁶ Howbeit, they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.

⁸ And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever, and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him. ⁹ So when this was done, all others also who had disease, in the island, came, and were healed:

²⁰ And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.

⁹ To another faith by the same Spirit: to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

¹⁴ Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: ¹⁵ And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

¹⁸ And Jesus came, and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth. ¹⁹ Go ye now and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them unto the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: ²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things, whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the age.

⁵¹ And it came to pass, when the days were fulfilled that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

⁴⁴ And he said unto them, These [were] my words which I spake unto you while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms concerning me. ⁴⁵ Then opened he their mind, that they might understand the scriptures. ⁴⁶ And said unto them, Thus it is written, that Christ should suffer, and rise the third day. ⁴⁷ And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name, as far as all nations;beginning at Jerusalem. ⁴⁸ And ye are also witnesses of these things. ⁴⁹ And behold I send the promise upon you; but tarry ye in the city until ye be endued with power from on high. ⁵⁰ And he led them out to Bethany, and he lift up his hands, and blessed them. ⁵¹ And it came to pass while he blessed them, he was parted from them.

⁶² If therefore ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

¹ Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come, that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and am come unto the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

⁴ I have glorified thee on the earth: And I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. ⁵ And now, O Father, glorifie thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had from thee before the world was.

¹³ And now come I to thee, and these things I speak in this world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

¹⁷ Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not: for I have not yet ascended to the Father: Go therefore to the brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

¹⁵ When therefore they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me more that these? Jesus (Read: Peter) saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

²² Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he remain thus until I come, what [is that] to thee? Follow thou me.

² Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the holy Ghost, had given commandment to preach the Gospel unto the apostles, whom he had chosen. ³ To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion, by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

⁹ Add when he had spoken these things, a cloud received him, and he was taken out of their sight. ¹⁰ And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven, as he was going, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; ¹¹ And they said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing? This same Jesus who is taken up from you into heaven, shall socome, in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

²¹ Whom the heaven must receive, until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets,

⁵⁵ But Stephen being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus the Lord standing on the right hand of God, ⁵⁶ And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

³⁴ Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather that is risen again; who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

²⁴ Then is the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule, and all authority, and power. ²⁵ For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly [places], ²¹ Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come: ²² And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him the head over all things to the church,

⁸ Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led a captivity captive, [and] gave gifts unto men. ⁹ Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended, is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. ¹¹ And he hath given some, apostles: and some, prophets: and some, evangelists: and some, pastors and teachers;

¹ If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

¹⁶ And without controversy, great is the mystery [of the word]of godliness: who was manifested in the flesh, justified in Spirit, seen of angels, preached among Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

³ Who being a beam of his glory, and the express image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession.

²⁰ Whither the forerunner is for us entered, Jesus Christ; made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

²⁶ For such an high priest became us also, holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

¹ Now of the things which we have spoken, [this is] the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

²⁴ For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, the figures of the true; but into heaven it self, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

¹² But He, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins, for ever sat down on the right hand of God; ¹³ From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

¹⁹ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus; ²⁰ By a new living way which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, through his flesh; ²¹ And an high priest over the house of God: ²² Let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

² Looking unto Jesus theauthor and finisher of the faith; who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

²² Who isgone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God, angels, and authorities, and powers, being made subject unto him.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. ²¹ To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

¹ And it came to pass in those days, that the day of Pentecost was fully come, [and] they were all in one place. ² And lo suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. ³ And there appeared unto them cloven tongues, like as of fire, and they sat upon each of them: ⁴ And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. ⁵ [Now] there were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. ⁶ And when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, and they heard every one speak in their [own] languages. ⁷ And they were amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these who speak, Galileans? ⁸ And how hear we every man in our tongue, wherein we were born? ⁹ Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, in Judea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, ¹⁰ Phrygia and Pamphylia, in Egypt also, and in the parts of Libya, about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, ¹¹ Cretes, and Arabians; we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. ¹² And they were all amazed, and were in doubt one among another what had happened, and saying, What meaneth this? ¹³ Others mocked, saying, These are full of new wine. ¹⁴ Then Peter standing up with the ten Apostles, first lift up his voice, and said unto them thus, Ye men of Judea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, [and] hearken to my words: ¹⁵ For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. ¹⁶ But this is that which was spoken by the prophet. ¹⁷ It shall come to pass in the last days, saith the Lord, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and their sons and their daughters shall prophesy, and the young men shall see visions, and the old men shall dream dreams: ¹⁸ And on my servants, and on my handmaidens I will pour out of my Spirit: ¹⁹ And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath, ²⁰ The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great day of the Lord come. ²¹ And it shall come to pass, whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord, shall be saved. ²² Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, aman approved of God among you, by miracles and wonders and signs, all which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye your selves know: ²³ Him, being given you by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by a wicked hand have fastned to a cross, and slain: ²⁴ Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of Hades: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. ²⁵ For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw my Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved. ²⁶ Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad: moreover also, my flesh shall rest in hope, ²⁷ That thou wilt not leave my soul in Hades, neither wilt thou deliver thine holy One to see corruption. ²⁸ Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt fill me with joy with thy countenance.

¹² And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; and they were all with one accord in the temple, in Solomon's cloister.

⁴ Therefore they that were scattered abroad, went about preaching the word. ⁵ And Philip came to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. ⁶ But when all the multitudes with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing, and seeing the signs which he did.

³ Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, who gave testimony unto the word of his grace, [and] granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

⁸ And there sat a certain man, impotent in his feet, from his mother's womb, who never had walked. ⁹ The same heard Paul speak; being in fear: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, ¹⁰ Said with a loud voice, I say to thee, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Stand up right on thy feet. [And] he presently [immediately] leaped and walked.

¹⁹ Through his mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Holy Spirit; so that from Jerusalem unto Illyricum and round about, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

⁴ And my speech, and my preaching [was] not with enticing words of wisdom, but in the revelation of the Spirit, and of power: ⁵ That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

⁶ I have planted, Apollos watered: but God gave the increase. ⁷ So then, neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth: but God that giveth the increase. ⁸ Now he that planteth, and he that watereth, are one: and every man shall receive his own reward, according to his own labour. ⁹ For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, God's building.

¹ We fellow-workers exhorting you, Receive not the grace of God in vain:

⁴ God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to the will of God.
