Colossians 3:1 Cross References - Williams

¹ So if you have been raised to life in fellowship with Christ, keep on seeking the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.

²⁰ But keep on storing up your riches in heaven where moths and rust do not make away with them and where thieves do not break in and steal them.

³³ But as your first duty keep on looking for His standard of doing right, and for His will, and then all these things will be yours besides.

⁴⁴ 'The Lord has said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, Until I put your enemies under your feet!'

⁶⁴ Jesus answered him, "Yes, I am. But I tell you, you will all soon see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Almighty, and coming on the clouds of the sky."

³⁶ David himself, Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, said: 'The Lord has said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand Until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet."'

⁶² Jesus said, "Yes, I am, and you will all see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Almighty and coming in the clouds of the sky!"

¹⁹ So the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was caught up into heaven and took His seat at God's right hand.

³³ Sell your property and give to charity. Provide for yourselves purses that will never wear out, riches that never fail in heaven, where a thief cannot come near nor a moth destroy,

⁴² For David himself in the Book of Psalms says: 'The Lord has said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand,

⁶⁹ But from today the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God."

³⁴ For David did not go up to heaven, but he himself says: 'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand,

⁵⁵ But since he was full of the Holy Spirit, he looked right into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at God's right hand.

⁴ So through baptism we have been buried with Him in death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the Father's glorious power, so we too should live an entirely new life. ⁵ For if we have grown into fellowship with Him by sharing a death like His, surely we shall share a resurrection life like His,

⁹ for we know that Christ, who once was raised from the dead, will never die again; death has no more power over Him. ¹⁰ For by the death He died He once for all ended His relation to sin, and by the life He now is living He lives in unbroken relation to God. ¹¹ So you too must consider yourselves as having ended your relation to sin but living in unbroken relation to God.

⁶ For to be thinking the things suggested by the lower nature means death, but to be thinking the things suggested by the Spirit means life and peace.

³⁴ who can condemn them? Christ Jesus who died, or rather, who was raised from the dead, is now at God's right hand, and is actually pleading for us.

¹⁸ because I do not keep my eyes on things that are seen but things that are unseen. For things that are seen are temporary, but things that are unseen are eternal.

¹⁹ For through the law I myself have become dead to the law, so that I may live for God. ²⁰ I have been crucified with Christ, and I myself no longer live, but Christ is living in me; the life I now live as a mortal man I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.

¹⁹ and how surpassingly great is His power for us who believe, measured by His tremendously mighty power ²⁰ when He raised Christ from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in heaven,

⁵ has made us, though dead because of our shortcomings, live again in fellowship with Christ -- it is by His unmerited favor that you have been saved. ⁶ And He raised us with Him and through union with Christ Jesus He made us sit down with Him in the heavenly realm,

¹⁰ The very One that went down has gone up, too, far above all the heavens, to fill the universe.

²⁰ But we are citizens of the republic in heaven, from which we are eagerly waiting for our Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. ²¹ He will so change the outward appearance of our lowly bodies that they will be like His glorious body, by the exertion of the power He has to subject everything to Himself.

¹² for you were buried with Him in baptism and raised to life with Him through your faith in the power of God who raised Him from the dead. ¹³ Yes, although you were dead through your shortcomings and were physically uncircumcised, God made you live again through fellowship with Christ. He graciously forgave us all our shortcomings,

²⁰ If once through fellowship with Christ you died and were separated from the world's crude notions, why do you live as though you belonged to the world? Why submit to rules such as,

² Practice occupying your minds with the things above, not with the things on earth;

³ He is the reflection of God's glory and the perfect representation of His being, and continues to uphold the universe by His mighty word. After He had procured man's purification from sins, He took His seat at the right hand of God's majesty,

¹³ But to what angel did He ever say: "Just keep your seat at my right hand, until I make your foes a footstool for your feet"?

¹ Now the main point in what I am saying is this: We have such a High Priest as this, one who has taken His seat at the right hand of God's majestic throne in heaven

¹² But this One offered up once for all and for all time one sacrifice for sins, and once for all took His seat at God's right hand,

¹³ These people all died victoriously as a result of their faith, although they did not receive the blessings promised; that is, because they really saw them in the far-off future and welcomed them, and so professed to be only foreigners and strangers here on earth. ¹⁴ For people who make such a profession as this show that they are in search of a country of their own. ¹⁵ And if they had been cherishing the memory of the country they had left, they would have had an opportunity to go back. ¹⁶ But in reality they were aspiring for a better country, I mean, a heavenly one. This is why God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.

² keeping our eyes on Jesus, the perfect leader and example of faith, who, instead of the joy which lay before Him, endured the cross with no regard for its shame, and since has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

²² who has gone to heaven and is now at God's right hand, with angels, heavenly authorities and powers made subject to Him.
