³ For the time past is sufficient to have wrought the will of the gentiles, having walked in wantonness, lusts, wine-bibbings, revelings, carousings, and impious idolatries;

²² covetings, wickednesses, deceit, wantonness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness:

³⁰ God, therefore, having overlooked the time of ignorance, now commands all men everywhere to repent;

²⁰ For His invisible things, since the creation of the world, are clearly seen, being perceived by the things that are made, even His everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse: ²¹ because, having known God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor did they give thanks; but they became vain in their reasonings, and their senseless heart was darkened. ²² Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, ²³ and changed the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and quadrupeds, and reptiles. ²⁴ Wherefore, God gave them up in the desires of their hearts unto the uncleanness of dishonoring their bodies among themselves; ²⁵ who, indeed, change the truth of God into falsehood; and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, Who is blessed forever. Amen. ²⁶ For this cause, God gave them up to vile passions; for both their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature; ²⁷ and, in like manner, the men also, leaving the natural use of the women, burned in their desires one for another; men with men working unseemliness, and receiving in themselves the recompense of their error, which was due. ²⁸ And, as they did not approve the holding of God in their knowledge, God delivered them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not becoming; ²⁹ having become filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity; whisperers, ³⁰ back-biters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventers of evil things, disobedient to parents, ³¹ without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful; ³² who, indeed, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also consent with those who practice them.

¹² Accordingly, then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh; ¹³ for, if ye live according to the flesh, ye are going to die; but, if by the Spirit ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

¹³ As in the day, let us walk becomingly; not in revellings and drunkenness, not in lewdness and wantonness, not in strife and jealousy;

¹¹ And such were some of you; but ye were washed, but ye were sanctified, but ye were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

² Ye know that ye were gentiles, carried away to the dumb idols, as ye were led.

²¹ lest, when I come again, my God should humble me before you, and I should mourn for many of those who have heretofore sinned, and repented not of the uncleanness, and fornication and lasciviousness which they practiced.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

²¹ envyings, drunkenness, revelings, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, as I also said before, that those practicing such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.

² in which ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the authority of the air, the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience; ³ among whom we also all once lived in the desires of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest;

¹⁷ This, therefore, I say, and testify in the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the gentiles also walk, in the vanity of their mind, ¹⁸ being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardness of their hearts; ¹⁹ who, indeed, having become without feeling, delivered themselves up to lasciviousness for the working of all uncleanness with greediness.

¹⁸ And be not drunken with wine, in which is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;

⁵ not in passion of desire, even as the gentiles, who know not God;

³ For we also were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving manifold desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

¹⁴ as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves to the former desires in your ignorance;

⁴ For there crept in stealthily certain men, who of old were set forth for this condemnation, ungodly men, changing the grace of our God into lasciviousness; and denying the only Master and our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁴ And the woman was clothed in purple and scarlet, and was gilded with gold and precious stones and pearls, having in her hand a golden cup, full of abominations, even the impurities of her fornication, ⁵ and upon her forehead a name written, "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF THE HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."
