³¹ Therefore said Jesus to the Jews that believed on Him, If ye continue in my word, ye are indeed my disciples.

¹³ But he that endures to the end, shall be saved:

⁴⁷ And when Jesus saw Nathaniel coming towards Him, He saith concerning him, "Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile."

⁵⁵ For my flesh is truly food, and my blood is truly drink: he that feedeth on my flesh and drinketh my blood,

⁶⁶ From this time many of his disciples went away, and walked no more with Him. ⁶⁷ Jesus therefore said to the twelve, Have ye also a mind to go away? ⁶⁸ Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? ⁶⁹ Thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and know that thou art the Messiah, the Son of the living God. ⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? ⁷¹ Now He spake of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon; for he was about to betray Him, though he was one of the twelve apostles.

³⁶ If therefore the Son make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

⁴ Abide therefore in me, and I will abide in you: for as the branch cannot bear fruit of it self, unless it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me. ⁵ I am the vine, ye are the branches; he that abideth in me, and I in him, beareth much fruit: but without me ye can do nothing. ⁶ If any one abide not in me, he is cast out as a useless branch and withereth: and they gather them up, and throw them into the fire, and they are burnt. ⁷ If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask what ye will, and it shall be granted you. ⁸ Herein is my father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and so shall ye be my disciples. ⁹ As the Father hath loved me, and I have loved you, continue in my love:

⁴³ And when the synagogue was broken up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who addressing themselves to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and telling them that through many afflictions we must enter into the kingdom of God.

²² But having obtained help of God, I continue until this day, testifying both to small and great, and saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses declared should come to pass; even that the Messiah should suffer,

⁷ to them, who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, and honor, and immortality, eternal life:

²² Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: towards them that fell, severity; but towards thee, goodness; if thou continue in his goodness: for else thou also shalt be cut off.

²³ if so be ye continue grounded and settled in the faith, and be not moved from the gospel, which ye have heard, and which hath been preached throughout the whole creation, of which I Paul am a minister.

¹⁵ Yet shall she be saved through childbirth, if they continue in faith and love, in holiness and modesty.

¹⁶ Take heed to thyself, and to thy doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this, thou wilt both save thyself and those that hear thee.

³ Honour widows who are widows indeed. ⁴ But if any widow have children or grandchildren, let these learn first to shew piety at home, and to make suitable returns to their parents: for this is becoming, and acceptable in the sight of God. ⁵ Now she, that is really a widow and desolate, hopeth in God, and continueth in supplications and prayers night and day.

¹⁴ But continue thou in the things which thou hast learnt, and been assured of, knowing from whom thou hast learned them;

¹⁴ for we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold fast our first confidence firm unto the end; inasmuch as it is said,

⁹ not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

³⁸ and the just shall live by faith, but if any draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. ³⁹ But we are not of those who withdraw to perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

²⁵ But he that looketh well into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been indeed of us, they would have continued with us; but this was done that they might be made manifest, because all, that are with us, are not indeed of us.

²⁴ Let that therefore, which ye have heard from the beginning, abide in you: for if that, which ye heard from the beginning, remain in you, ye also will remain in the Son and in the Father.

⁹ Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God: but he, that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, hath both the Father and the Son.
