³⁵ Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

¹⁸ for verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot nor one tittle shall pass from the law, till all be compleated.

² in hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before all ages;

¹¹ they shall perish, but thou remainest; and they shall all grow old as a garment, ¹² and as a mantle wilt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed; but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail."

²⁵ but the word of the Lord abideth for ever. And this is the word which is preached to you in the gospel.

⁷ But the heavens and the earth, that now are, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved unto fire on the day of judgement and destruction of ungodly men. ⁸ But, beloved; be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. ⁹ The Lord is not slow as to his promise (as some count it slowness) but is long-suffering towards us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. ¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements being set on fire shall be dissolved, and the earth and the works therein shall be burnt up. ¹¹ Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in holy conversation and godliness, ¹² expecting and hastening on the coming of the day of God, whereby the heavens being set on fire shall be dissolved, and the burning elements shall be melted.

¹⁴ And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:

¹⁴ and the heaven passed away as a book rolled up, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places:

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled, and no place was found for them.
