14 Καὶ (And) τῷ (to the) ἀγγέλῳ (messenger) τῆς (of the) ἐν (in) Λαοδικείᾳ (Laodicea) ἐκκλησίας (church) γράψον (write): Τάδε (These things) λέγει (says) ὁ (the) Ἀμήν (Amen), ὁ (the) μάρτυς (Witness) ὁ (-) πιστὸς (faithful) καὶ (and) ἀληθινός (true), ἡ (the) ἀρχὴ (Beginning) τῆς (of the) κτίσεως (creation) τοῦ (-) Θεοῦ (of God).
15 Οἶδά (I know) σου (your) τὰ (-) ἔργα (works), ὅτι (that) οὔτε (neither) ψυχρὸς (cold) εἶ (you are) οὔτε (nor) ζεστός (hot). ὄφελον (I wish) ψυχρὸς (cold) ἦς (you would be) ἢ (or) ζεστός (hot).
16 οὕτως (So) ὅτι (because) χλιαρὸς (lukewarm) εἶ (you are), καὶ (and) οὔτε (neither) ζεστὸς (hot) οὔτε (nor) ψυχρός (cold), μέλλω (I am about) σε (you) ἐμέσαι (to spit) ἐκ (out of) τοῦ (the) στόματός (mouth) μου (of Me).
17 Ὅτι (For) λέγεις (you say) ὅτι (-), ‘Πλούσιός (Rich) εἰμι (I am), καὶ (and) πεπλούτηκα (I have grown rich), καὶ (and) οὐδὲν (of nothing) χρείαν (need) ἔχω (I have).’ καὶ (And) οὐκ (not) οἶδας (do you realize) ὅτι (that) σὺ (you) εἶ (are) ὁ (-) ταλαίπωρος (wretched), καὶ (and) ἐλεεινὸς (miserable), καὶ (and) πτωχὸς (poor), καὶ (and) τυφλὸς (blind), καὶ (and) γυμνός (naked).
18 συμβουλεύω (I counsel) σοι (you) ἀγοράσαι (to buy) παρ’ (from) ἐμοῦ (Me) χρυσίον (gold) πεπυρωμένον (having been refined) ἐκ (by) πυρὸς (fire) ἵνα (so that) πλουτήσῃς (you may be rich), καὶ (and) ἱμάτια (garments) λευκὰ (white) ἵνα (so that) περιβάλῃ (you may be clothed) καὶ (and) μὴ (not) φανερωθῇ (might be made manifest) ἡ (the) αἰσχύνη (shame) τῆς (of the) γυμνότητός (nakedness) σου (of you), καὶ (and) κολλούριον (eye-salve) ἐγχρῖσαι (to anoint) τοὺς (the) ὀφθαλμούς (eyes) σου (of you) ἵνα (so that) βλέπῃς (you may see).
19 ἐγὼ (I) ὅσους (as many as) ἐὰν (if) φιλῶ (might love), ἐλέγχω (I rebuke) καὶ (and) παιδεύω (discipline); ζήλευε (be zealous) οὖν (therefore) καὶ (and) μετανόησον (repent).
20 Ἰδοὺ (Behold), ἕστηκα (I stand) ἐπὶ (at) τὴν (the) θύραν (door) καὶ (and) κρούω (knock). ἐάν (If) τις (anyone) ἀκούσῃ (should hear) τῆς (the) φωνῆς (voice) μου (of Me) καὶ (and) ἀνοίξῃ (open) τὴν (the) θύραν (door), ‹καὶ› (then) εἰσελεύσομαι (I will come in) πρὸς (to) αὐτὸν (him), καὶ (and) δειπνήσω (will dine) μετ’ (with) αὐτοῦ (him), καὶ (and) αὐτὸς (he) μετ’ (with) ἐμοῦ (Me).
21 Ὁ (The one) νικῶν (overcoming), δώσω (I will give) αὐτῷ (to him) καθίσαι (to sit) μετ’ (with) ἐμοῦ (Me) ἐν (on) τῷ (the) θρόνῳ (throne) μου (of Me), ὡς (as) κἀγὼ (I also) ἐνίκησα (overcame) καὶ (and) ἐκάθισα (sat down) μετὰ (with) τοῦ (the) Πατρός (Father) μου (of Me) ἐν (on) τῷ (the) θρόνῳ (throne) αὐτοῦ (of Him).
22 Ὁ (The one) ἔχων (having) οὖς (an ear), ἀκουσάτω (let him hear) τί (what) τὸ (the) Πνεῦμα (Spirit) λέγει (says) ταῖς (to the) ἐκκλησίαις (churches).”
